We had a 7-night memorable sojourn in Taj Madikeri. It is an idyllic get away in scenic and verdant surroundings. Our stay was made particularly comfortable and memorable because of the dedicated staff of the resort who, through their eye for detail, micro-planning and an overall determination to give value and the best experience to each and every guest, ensured that all our needs were fulfilled in the shortest possible time. My wife and I would specifically like to highlight the contributions of the following members of the resort team: REBITA SINGHA, the Duty Manager of the property during a stay, was most knowledgeable, helpful & proactive in her attitude and offered many suggestions that enriched our 7-night stay. AROOPA, from the Front Office impressed us with her detailed & helpful introductory briefing and was available at all times for any assistance and planning we required, especially related to concierge-services UMESH, the F&B Manager, and his dedicated & tireless team that managed Ferntree, Grills and Hive (amongst other restaurants) to the delight of all guests. NIKHIL waited on us during most of the breakfast sessions in the open area of Ferntree. His breakfast coffee was a treat for any coffee aficionado so we labeled it: "Nikhil's special coffee". To our delight, he served us at Grills as well during an excellent dinner by the poolside. Akshay, with detailed knowledge of the Kodagu cuisine, was always at hand to help us enjoy the finest dinners in Ferntree. Gowtham who curated our in-room dining experience on 3 occasions with care, efficiency and professionalism.

Wah Taj.... I had arrived with my wife n 2 kids to celebrate our anniversary and it was truly a great experience. The property's ambience merged with nature, providing stunning views all around right from the reception to the infinity pool. The food was top notch with breakfast options galore.. Our anniversary special cottage decor and surprise cake were truly fabulous making our stay more memorable. Sadly since it was continuously rainy throughout the stay, we couldn't explore the outdoor amenities the resort offers. So looking forward to visit again.

I had a very memorable dinner at the Fern tree, taj madikeri. From the booking till the completion of the dinner, Ricky, the host was very accommodating, polite and hospitable. We chose the 6 course wine and dine. We were explained each dish and the wine paired with it in detail. It was my wife's birthday and the staff made it memorable. Overall a very satisfying and memorable experience. Cheers to Ricky and the team.

We had a great stay here. Apart from the welcome (which did not have the usual Taj warmth), we were pampered by the staff. We get some wonderful views from the lobby and from the rooms. We were excited about using the temperature controlled pool but were disappointed as the water was quite cold. It was supposed to be at 29 deg but due to wind chill factor, was much colder. Taj should really review this of keeping the pool at 29 deg and if the guest wants it warmer, should increase the temperature. Afterall, the infinity pool in mountains is one of the attractions of the property. We ended up spending some time in the open jacuzzi as the water was a bit warmer there. Suva and Ricky at Ferntree restaurant were there to take care of our needs. In fact the entire staff at the restaurant was warm and welcoming, encouraging you to try various dishes. In fact, after the restaurant at Lake Palace Udaipur, this was the place where we were pampered the most. It is worth going just to enjoy the hospitality. We went for the nature walk where Nitin shared information on the local topography. He kept it interesting. Boltas took us around the property in the buggy, highlighting various aspects. All in all, a wonderful memorable stay, though we missed using the swimming pool.

Taj Madikeri is a beautiful resort in a 180-acre rainforest. It has great views of the surrounding hills. The reception area is at the top and looks out over the valley. The rooms are on five different levels. When you arrive, the welcome drink is the local black coffee called Bella Coffee. The resort has a gym, swimming pool, and activity center. The rooms are spread out across the property, so you can enjoy the natural surroundings. There are many fun activities to do, like zip-lining, kayaking, and trekking. The resort's two naturalist naturalists, Nitin , take you on guided walks in the morning and evening. The morning walk to Nishan Heights is great. You climb up through the “Shola” forest and get a 360-degree view of the valley from the top. The evening walk is also nice. You walk through the plantation and marsh, and Nitin tells you about the local plants, animals, and history. The mountain biking is a 10 km round ***** both steep uphill and down hill path. The resort has a conservatory that tells you about the history and culture of the local Coorg people. The food at the resort is great. The head chef, Raja, makes delicious local and international dishes with equal ease . He personalizes the food as per your taste. You should try the Red rice dosa, local oyster mushrooms, and fermented rice cakes. We had a great time at Taj Madikeri.

We stayed at Taj Madikeri for 4 nights and still wanted to extend our stay a bit further. Property is designed to make someone reconnect with your inner self. It was a blissful stay wherein my wife and I spent some quality time, coupled with therapeutic nature's experience. Staff was courteous and service was top notch. And must say food at Taj was one of the best I had. Thanks to following for making this stay memorable for us. We did extend our stay only because of your warmth, care and service. Everything was taken care by the staff. The upgrades, first aid, meal suggestions and the beautiful host Miss Rebita Singha. She is a star. There are few more people I would like to extend my thanks to: Soumyaranjan at Ferntree . Such a warm and genuine person. Laxita: always spot on with the service. Taking good care of the guests. Another sweet person at Ferntree who took care of the cake orders and so nicely wished us on our anniversary. I forgot to note her name. One buggy ride anna: An example I would like to share where he went out of the way and called the muddy boots POC so that they can accommodate us for the kayaking. I am sorry I forgot to ask your name. The housekeeping persons: Very amicable and highly diligent.

The property is amazing. I'm glad such a property exists in my home town. We spent 2 nights and 3 days here and got to see the entire property. I look forward to being back. My wife loved the spa. It was a tiring drive from Bengaluru to Taj Madikeri. But as soon as I stepped down and saw the view from the lobby, took away all my tiredness. WHat a view. The checkin was smooth. Unlike other properties, it was take care of by team while you sip on the wonderful coffee. The premium villa view was the best, The food was amazing all throughout the stay and so was the service. The set menu at the Grill shouldnt be missed and so shouldnt be an experience in the wellness spa. Gudda bath is something which you should try. I couldnt but probably a next time thing. The only sore point was that there arent any emergency medicines available and nearest pharmacy is a 25 mins drive Dont say it for enough properties but cant wait to be back.
