Hotel 2 Bintang di Madison

Great location in downtown Madison/campus area. Unfortunate part about this is all the buzzkill students in the area. God they suck.

This may be the worst Hampton Inn we have ever stayed at. We booked a king room and we got a small bizarrely laid-out, dark dingy room towards the end of the hall. We felt so light deprived. It was quite depressing. The bathroom fan didn't work. There was a small broken refrigerator (door to the cabinet with the fridge was off the hinges), no microwave and a small coffee maker behind the bathroom door in a very small nook. You can only make coffee in the bathroom with the bathroom door closed. We looked into a few other rooms that house keeping was cleaning and the other rooms looked more normal in size and more well lit. After the fact we realized we should have complained immediately about our room. We went out to dinner one night came back and our room keys no longer worked (infact they would no work to even get into the hotel through the back entrance). It took 20 minutes for the hotel personnel to restore access to our rooms , no apology. When we checked out and told the staff about our experience, all they said was , ”have a nice day”. No apology or attempt to show sympathy. It really was the worse Hampton Inn we have ever experienced. We definitely felt like we did not get our money's worth. Plenty of other places to stay near by, next time we are in town to see our daughter we will fore sure find another place. Very dissatisfied!!!

We continue to stay at this property because everything they do is done well! It’s clean with friendly staff. The room is quiet in part due to quiet hours being enforced. The bed is comfy and the bedding superior to the hotels nearby. Breakfast is fine with a pleasant sitting area. Shuttle service is also available within a 3 mile radius of the hotel. The location works well for us and parking is a breeze.

Excellent stay. Room was spacious and well cleaned. All amenities that one would expect, as well as a choice of three options made cooked-to-order for hot breakfast in the morning. The location is a few miles away from central Madison, but it is located near the main roads leading there. All in all, a great option if in the Madison area.

I was skeptical about this hotel because it is much more reasonably priced than other hotels in the area. But it was great. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and kind staff. Shasta in particular was fabulous (she went above and beyond to get us the room type we needed and to deliver a roll-away). We loved the convenient location - we walked, bussed, and did Bcycle to the UW campus (all without needing to incur UW parking ramp costs).

My experience has been pleasant since I've arrived. There's a certain staff member that works front desk & she has been nothing but amazing to us. No breakfast tho which is a bummer since it claims we are paying for that luxury..

The motel's location offered stunning views of the surrounding landscape, allowing us to soak in the natural beauty of the area. Whether enjoying a morning coffee on the balcony or watching the sunset in the evening, the picturesque vistas made our stay truly memorable.

The service is good. They provide free breakfast.

If you love cockroaches, this is the place for you! But I'll start at check-in: when we arrived there was a sign on the desk saying the attendant was performing another task away from the desk and would be back within 15 minutes (I waited about 10 minutes.) Our key cards quit working each of the 3 days we were there and every time we went to reprogram them, the sign was up and we waited. The hallways were a festival of weird smells. At night the hallways reeked of *********, which I do not have a problem with, but it's not something I really want when I'm traveling with my children. Also not really something I want to smell as I'm falling asleep. There was a large puddle of dog pee in the middle of the landing between the first and second floor steps that was there for a couple of days. The steps were pretty dirty anyway. We stayed in room 212. One of the couches was broken, the dresser drawers were broken, the outlet in the bathroom didn't work. The person upstairs was super loud beginning around midnight each night. I was impressed with how clean the room was, I was less impressed with the cockroaches that welcomed me to the bathroom in the middle of the night. There is a crack between the floor and the wall in between the toilet and the bathtub, that appeared to be where the cockroaches were entering from. I killed several cockroaches but the rest escaped into that crack. I booked the room because of the extra space and the kitchen, which we definitely used, but it was much shabbier than it appeared in the photos on the website. I do not see myself ever staying in another Extended Stay America again and I would certainly not recommend it to anyone I know.
