Overall we stayed in 3 rooms - the first we rejected after one night because the shower was unacceptable with an awful smell of drains emanating from it and there was no bath as alternative. The second they moved us to was much better with bath in the room but it had a shower cubicle which again smelled of drains - we didn't use it. The 3 rd room was a luxury duplex suite after we'd left the city and returned for one more night - yet again the shower smelt awful and they had to send the housekeeper up to pour disinfectant down it. They blamed rain but it hadn't rained on all the days - I blame the construction of the showers - marble slabs with gaps in between where dirt and mould was visible - frankly quite awful. We found the hotel otherwise a bit strange in layout but comfortable, nice terrace bar/restaurant and a good buffet and cooked breakfast. Staff were helpful except for young lady who suggested I needed 40 minutes or more for taxi to train station - I got there in under 5 minutes !

The location is excellent, two subway stations very close, fast the check in, we arrived early and they had a room ready for us, the rooms super clean and modern, whoever hates the morning sun to sleep a little more, this is the place, they have great curtains that don’t let a ray of light to enter. The bathroom was comfortable, a good closet, the mattress and pillows perfect. The breakfast super complete with many choices to pick.

I'm probably bring slightly generous in my rating as this is a good hotel but not very good. However, I think it would be unfair to rate it as average which is the next rating scale on TripAdvisor. It's very conveniently located if you're coming into the main railway station and is a short walk away and there is an elevator to street level from the station if you have heavy suitcases. It's also a short walk to the Prado and the Reine Sofia but about a 30 minute walk up to Plaza Mayor. The rooms are comfortable and new. They're not very big but for a short stay they're adequate. The bathroom is of a fair size and the amenities in the room are good. They have breakfast at the hotel but we didn't use it so I can't comment.

Great location. Walking distance to many cafes and restaurants. We were surprised to learn that the hotel exterior was undergoing a renovation. We checked in our room at 4pm and could hear knocking and hacking on the wall. Thankfully we were just using the room to rest at night. Most of the daytime were spent exploring the city. It would be informative if the hotel inform the guests about the renovation but it is okay for us because we were out.

Definitely a very good option to stay in Madrid, I’m staying here in December that I go back there. I really can recommend this place, the only downside is that if someone from your neighbors leave early the maid services can make so much noice and you end up waking up because of the noise they make.

Das Hotel kann man nur weiter empfehlen. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal, tolle Lage, saubere Zimmer (vor allem die Betten sind sehr gemütlich) und der angrenzende Park lädt zum Verweilen ein. Nicht unerwähnt sollte die tolle Dachterrasse mit dem hervorragenden Ausblick über Madrid sein. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

I stayed for 1 night at his hotel.. Upon my arrival at approximately 1:45 PM when I arrived to my room the heat was exhausting. The conditions of the room were also undesirable. The bathroom tub had multiple areas of scratching and also upon taking a shower due to the position of the faucet water spilled all over the area. I turned on the air conditioning and went on to visit Madrid and upon my arrival at 10:30 PM the room continued to be extremely hot. I went to the reception and discussed the situation with the person in charge and it was told that the maintenance person already left the premises and his presence at the hotel was only limited during the day time and no options were available since the Hotel was full. I just cannot understand how a hotel of 4 stars cannot have any maintenance after 10 PM. When I go in vacations the most important thing for me is to have rest. If you are looking for it , dont stay at this hotel.

Perfect Location to stay in Madrid. Close to the Grand Via and museums. Although there on business, this would be a great hotel to stay to put on your running shoes and explore the city. Clean, great staff and excellent breakfast. There was an issue with a package that was to be shipped to the hotel for business and the staff helped us with the issue. Would recommend and will stay here again.
