OYO 24579 Flagship Hotel Padmam

Poor room space and no hygiene and no proper drinking water facility. Out rated hotel and no food facilities nothing is there. Would not recommend to anyone coming from outside. No space also and TV is not working.

The location of the hotel was most convenient for the attractions and services that we came to experience. A shame though that the outlook was on an unkempt tank and overflowing rubbish bins although this may be beyond your control. In our room we were pleased to find that the AC,the fan and Wifi worked. Here are our suggestions for improving the accommodation. Cleaning should be of a much higher standard. For instance, the crust on the soap dispensers, the stained switchplates, the accumulation of dirt under the bed, the filth on the AC and the toilet window should be removed as should the cobwebs. The scuff marks on the walls suggest that it is time for a repaint. Even in a budget hotel one might find towels of a better quality and size, and find also bulbs that have shades. Warm water for the shower was encountered only once in three days. The presence on the stairs and other public areas of refuse, plastic and cardboard as well as mattressses demonstrated that there was a complete lack of care and more worryingly would contravene fire regulations. Several individuals used the stairwells as a sleeping place - why? We used the lift sparingly as it seemed from the signs (3 people not 6) that it was not functioning as originally intended. Finally, the welcome that we received was lukewarm. Hotel personnel should be trained to be helpful and solicitous to clients so that when none of the four - four - bank cards were not accepted in payment more than a rough gesture in the direction of an ATM would be appreciated. In general then, we felt the hotel was uncared for and customers were considered an intrusion.

Hi, Please save yourself a lot of needless stress and don't stay in this very poor excuse for a hotel. A very dirty room and washroom, dirty bed linen, terrible smell, pools of water in the hallways, very rude and unhelpful receptionist all contribute toward making this one of the worst places to stay at in Madurai.

I stayed in the Hotel for 3 days with my family. The hotel is located in the center of the city close to meenakshi am*** temple. so it was easy for me to walk to the temple in the early hours to avoid rush. Also the hotel was clean, staffs were polite and helpful, room was really super clean which I didn't expect by seeing before reviews. When checked with the front office about this they said hotel was been under other different ***agement during that period and now its moved back to the owners ***agement. I will strongly recommend this hotel. Thank you Hotel Padmam for the service.
