Except the location a little far from Hanoi international airport, the services, food, villas are super nice. The peoples are gentle and welcoming

Beautiful rooms, and as a small group travelling together the two room bungalow, each with their own bathroom and balcony, with a connecting door was a great set up, giving both privacy and an easy group space. The restaurant produced delicious food at both breakfast and dinner and the bar has a stunning view across the valley with a chilled soundtrack and large infinity pool. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay and I’d definitely recommend to friends.

Wow! Four Seasons service! What more can I say! Fantastic experience! Fantastic resort located in wilds of Mai Chau! We did the village tour upon arrival! Our local guide is from the area and had a lot of knowledge about the flora and fauna! He gave us an explanation of how the different plants are used for food, medicine and other uses! Didn’t realize he didn’t have a formal education in agriculture and was most impressed with his knowledge! Everything he learned was from his parents/ grandparents and other villagers passing along history, culture and knowledge. We also signed up for the cooking lessons and again our group was exposed to a host of natural herbs and plants that grow in the area and are incorporated into the dishes we prepared! Was absolutely amazed at the flavors and simplicity of preparing traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Our dishes included - chicken salad, bamboo herb beef, and catfish salad wrap! Spa service was amazing! Masseuses were professional, courteous and polite! During our Vietnam visit we managed to get massages almost everyday! The Avana massages have proven to be the very best we’ve experienced during our Vietnam travels! As mentioned, service from all staff and the overall retreat experience is on par with any the Four Seasons resorts we’ve been fortunate enough to visit! Service was impeccable! Facilities amazing! Good quality exceptional! Actives unique! One thing that was a pleasant surprise! Most of the staff working at the resort are locals from Mai Chau! Everyone I spoke to lived within 20 minutes of the resort! Well done Avana! We will be back!

Incredible resort - the pictures absolutely do not do it justice. There is a waterfall running through it, which is completely protected and cared for in a sustainable and natural way. The staff are brilliant and many of them are trained up locals so staying here you are actually supporting a fantastic community effort. The villas are stunning and the food (especially the vietnamese and local ethnic cuisine) is exceptional. One of the best massages I had in Vietnam too!
