Valamar Meteor Hotel

Sehr schönes, modernisiertes Hotel in Top Lage. Frühstück ausgezeichnet. Die Fläche vor dem InfinityPool und Liegen waren leider komplett überfüllt und nichts mehr frei , was etwas ungemütlich war. Der kleine Garten vor dem Innenpool mit den Liegen und den Daybetten war aber schön ruhig und nicht ganz so überlaufen. Hotel ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

This was our 3 rd visit to this Amazing Family hotel In Makarska We have already re Booked with TUI For June Next year , the hotel is in a super location 10 yards from the Main Beaches, The Buffet Restaurant was superb Both at Breakfast & Dinner, the Rooms are excellent & the Hotel facilities cater for all your Needs, with Live Entertainment, Infinity Pool , children’s pools & Slides & Great indoor facilities for for Adults & Children including ****** , Spa & Large Indoor pool . All the Staff & Management were very friendly, Helpful & Nothing too much trouble If I wanted to be Slightly critical The Bathrooms could do with a little Update & The Price of Wine with Dinner had increased a lot on our Last visit , but we had a Fantastic Holiday in this Amazing resort & can’t wait to return again !!

Been back a week so time to review Valamar Meteor Hotel. We arrived on Saturday 19/10 at @12pm. Politely informed that our room wasn't ready (2661) & wouldn't be until 2pm. No problem - dumped the cases in their secure room and out onto the terrace for a drink. As we sat down the sun came out and all looked good. Met a friendly cat as well. Stunning back drop with the Biokovo mountains directly behind and cloud rolling off them. Had a quick wander around the hotel to get our bearings. All clean & well maintained. The outdoor pool is an infinity pool overlooking the seafront and promenade, which is beautiful. Theres a brilliant looking kids pool as well, with slides etc. Quick walk outside restaurants to the left & right of the exit & a few souvenir shops etc. Beach looked great - crystal clear water & literally 20m from the hotel exit. Room was ready as promised just after 2pm. Looked modern & spotlessly clean. A bit small but we did have a balcony with a partial sea/mountain view. Beds OK. Pillows adequate. One of the pillows was so soft you just sank through it. TV with a few English news channels. Wi-fI very good. Easy downloads to Netflix. Cleaned & towels changed frequently. All the staff we encountered were polite & efficient. Booked a couple of trips with the Concierge lady who was extremely helpful. Highly recommend the boat trip on Voga to Hvar & Brac (with lunch & vino). Food-wise you won't go hungry. We always found something to tempt us. Breakfast as is the norm - luke-warm at best. Evening meal (we were half board) decent. Bar prices a bit high (like most hotels) - think it was @ 5.30 euros for a beer. Places outside the cheapest we saw @ 2 Euros 500ml. Supermarkets nearby though & 6 pack of Karlovacko beer was less than £1 a can. Short walk into Makarska, which is stunning. Harbour area and old town are lovely. Bus depot is at the top of the town on the main road. Easy to use but frequency & timetable not great. We went to Omis along the coast. OK getting out but waited well over an hour for a return. Overall we loved the hotel and the area and would definitely return and recommend.

First time in Croatia and we made an amazing choice of hotel, from the welcome on day one to the leaving on our last morning, each day was special. Food was amazing, so much choice, both pools fabulous but best of all was the seating choices scattered throughout the grounds. The position of the hotel and views from the balcony were second to none, cant wait to come back and the icing on the cake was the beautiful weather which we did not expect in late October, well done to all staff at the Vilamar Meteor.

A return stay 2 years after our first..nothing has changed... Rooms - spacious and clean Staff - helpful, polite, multi-lingual Breakfast - pig out time Location perfect 10m from beach and sea, close to shops, bars and restaurants. Value for money - no doubt. WE WILL BE BACK

We have just got back from this holiday, and I feel this holiday exceeded my expectations. The hotel is in a perfect location surrounded by lots of restaurants and a few bars. We went with a family of 3, there is plenty to do at this hotel for a toddler. We had a day trip to Bosnia, went to the sky walk on a tut tut and also went to Kira National Park. The hotel is a good location and has lots of trips on offer. A downside I would say is that I did feel the room was a little small for a family of 3. There wasn’t much space to store clothes and put empty suitcases ect. However we are not moaners and we didn’t let that affect our stay. The food was great in the restaurant for breakfast and tea. We were always there early with having a little one who gets up early.
