I recently celebrated my birthday at Oakwood Makati Avenue and wanted to share my experience. Communication: Before my stay, I found it challenging to get a timely response from the hotel. I had to send several emails before receiving a reply. Check-in: The check-in process was smooth. The receptionist was very helpful and even offered us a tour of a showroom before we chose our suite, which was a nice touch. The Suite: Our suite was spacious and elegant. However, I noticed a few areas for improvement: the handheld shower was difficult to operate, especially for older guests, and the bidet wasn’t functioning properly. Additionally, the TV channels were mostly limited to news and local shows. View: We loved the view from our suite facing Century Mall, where we enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the balcony. Breakfast: The breakfast buffet had a limited selection. I missed having croissants or danishes. They offered a free slice of cake, but you needed to like their Facebook page and leave a five-star review on Google for that. Spa Experience: The staff at the Onsen Spa were excellent, and I appreciated the free coffee and juice available in the lounge. Gym and Pool: The gym was small and had some older equipment. However, the pool area was fantastic, especially the glass pool. Unfortunately, the bar by the pool lacked a lively atmosphere, with limited music and menu options. It was surprising that they didn’t offer smoothies or refreshing drinks. Facilities: It’s worth noting that Oakwood and I’m Hotel share some facilities, which adds variety to the experience. Overall, I had a lovely birthday stay, and with a few improvements, this hotel could really stand out!

Spa was mediocre. They need to improve on customer experience. Massage room too cold and no way to adjust temperature. No heated bed. Had to ask for more towels to keep me warm. Didn’t smell like a spa. Little musty. Therapist was good though. The rooms are well appointed and very spacious. Complete with kitchen in a 2BR Suite. Bathtub too high for short people and may cause accidents. There’s a washer dryer combo that technically only washed clothes and kept clothes damp. The dryer was not efficient and we checked out with still damp clothes. 3 associates came to the room and tried to solve the problem. Their suggestion was to wash the clothes again so it will trigger the dry cycle. Never worked. Waste of time and energy. Dryer should dry clothes. Period. Breakfast selection was good. Saw a little cockroach walk around the sushi area. 😲 The area can get so much traffic. Kalayaan Ave can get crazy busy. Give enough time and clear directions for your Grab diver if you want to make your appointments on time. OVERALL GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY!

verry good appartment,frontoffice employe Leigh helped me verry good with my desire for having Netflix and made it posible for a upgrade woth a little bit more pay 😊. They Appartments are big and clean and have everything you need,clean everyday and the breakfast is amazing and you can choose alot of different dishes. If you want you can cook your own dinner in the kitchen,have a refrigerator. The location is perfect,when you go outside there are bars restaurants and clubs,7/11 everything is in 50 meters from the entrance,in the famous burgous area lots of things to do at night,but when you inside the room its quiet and you hear nothing from the party seen! Club Octopus 100 meters away

Strategically located in Makati. Good city with lots of amenities nearby

Good location & nice swimming pool that is shared with I’M Hotel in the same building. Spacious & Comfortable room too.

I highly recommend this hotel. The location is perfect, value for money. The room where I stayed is so spacious. Hotel staff are very courteous. I will definitely go back to this hotel.

Reservation listed it has lounge access and washing machine amenities. These were inaccurate. Took us a long time to settle this with front desk.

The shared breakfast with I'm hotel has limited selection and variety. There is also no bottled water provided but to collect from the water dispenser on each floor. The check out process is also slow as they need to check the rooms of missing items before processing.

The hotel is old. Carpets in the hallways are stained. Walls are discolored and needs fresh paint. The toilet is badly designed. There is a glass screen encasing the bath tub and you need to climb into the bath tub through the glass door. Water seeps out onto the bathroom floor after a shower. The bath mat is not sufficient to soak up the water so the floor is slippery and can be dangerous.

Hotel is good, I had stayed a few times before, location is also good.. Only setback this time, is that the room assigned to me, the room is not so clean and the balcony is full of spiders and the web.. However, the hotel staff had also did their part by sending people to clean up.. overall still pleasant stay.. Will go back again.

Overall, my stay was pleasant, although it did have its hiccups. There was a slight delay during check-in as my booking through the app didn't reflect on time, resulting in about an hour of waiting. However, the staff accommodated my request for a room on the same floor as my friends, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the room wasn't as cold as expected and compared to my friends’ room, requiring multiple reports to have it fixed. Despite these minor inconveniences, I still enjoyed a nice quick break and found the hotel itself to be great.

Staff very helpful and friendly-rooftop bar was stunning and pool/gym facilities were excellent.

Buffet breakfast was really good. Location was also perfect - right at a major intersection in Makati with lots of restaurants and bars. Be aware that the hotel will try to nitpick you for any 'stains' on the towels or sheets - we experienced this at checkout (receptionist claimed there was blue hair dye on our sheets but couldn't provide a photo... and neither of us have blue hair... we successfully fought it, but it left a bad taste in our mouths).
