Positives; close to didsbury and all travel links. Good to use the facilities in the morning such as the pool and spa area.
Negatives; was ridiculously expensive for a 10m2 room with no breakfast đł. Bed was barely a queen. I paid ÂŁ140 for one night.
Staff were pleasant enough and everything was clean and fresh.

Despite the word Airport being in the name, the actual airport is nowhere to be foundâperhaps it took a holiday. My room came with a massive 55-inch Akai(!) telly, which was almost big enough to distract me from the equally massive gaps in the windows masquerading as ventilation.
I enjoyed my stay, truly. But would I book again? Hmm, let's just say I'd sooner take my chances with a budget airline's baggage policy.

After a slight hiccup of not being able to get in.... (We had no code for the front door, or any communication there would be a code for the front door)...After calling the support number a few times finally got through and was given the entry code.
Then we needed to guess what room we were staying in and the code for that door.
Other people would have lost it by then but I rang back and was helped again.
The room itself was just as described. Nice touch with the food left by the kettle. Shower was delightful.
10am check out was a bit early... Bit we were leaving before 10 so it didn't matter to us. But might to others.
If your booking here. Make sure you have both codes before you arrive and everything will be fine.

Snacks/drinks...etc priced quite high, but, understandably so. That said, given the amenities offered in the room, self-catering is the primary option, with purchasing hotel snacks/drinks, viewed as a distant secondary option. Would happily stay with Wilde again

Nonetheless, the concierge/reception area that checks you in will determine the 1st impression.
The staffs at the front desk arenât that friendly and they do give me an attitude (in a bad way).
It was until the next morning , when I was checking out that I felt that the front desk manager was really very helpful and warm with customers. Itâs a shame that the first impression is not what Iâve expected.
The breakfast spread is comprehensive. Atmosphere is also set to be English. I like the cultural aspect.
Room is comfortable. Iâll definitely stay there again but less the unfriendly staff at the front desk.

Without hesitation, we called room service, and to our pleasant surprise, before we even got back to our room, the toothpaste was there waiting for us. The breakfast at Hotel Brooklyn deserves a special mention. It was nothing short of fantastic. The variety and quality of food offered were impressive. DDeimanteMy room was meant to be with king size bed but we got 2 single beds joined together, the single beds had wheels on them so they kept rolling away from each other. It would also move around when youâd try to get into bed. Beds were super high as well, and when they are on wheels itâs a bit tricky to get into one of them especially if youâre short and overweight. Tv was not working, super old so had no smart hub, so no Netflix or any other platforms, you canât even stream your screen view from your phone. Antenna had no reception so you couldnât even watch any regular tv programs.
Other than that, shower was great and clean, everything else in the room was also clean and the room was pretty spacious which I really liked. Location is great, you have an access to a gym.

Location:
The location is definitely one of the hotelâs strongest points. Itâs super accessible to all forms of transport, whether youâre arriving by train, bus, or tram. Itâs right in the city center, so you can easily explore Manchester without much hassle.
Parking:
The parking arrangement is convenient if youâre driving, especially with free parking between 8 pm and 8 am. Outside of those hours, youâll need to pay, so keep that in mind if youâre staying for longer stretches.
Hotel Condition:
This is where the hotel shows its age. The building is very old, and while it has some charm, it could definitely use an upgrade. You can feel the wear and tear in the common areas and some of the rooms.
Rooms:
The rooms are a mixed bag. The basic rooms are just thatâbasic. Theyâre not particularly comfortable, and if youâre picky about where you sleep, you might feel underwhelmed. However, if you go for one of the upgraded rooms, the experience is much better. Those rooms feel cleaner and more inviting.
