Hotel berhampiran Fisheries Ground, Mangalore

I had the pleasure of visiting Mangalore on the 17th of October 2023, where I was greeted with a warm welcome despite my late arrival at night after a 12-hours long journey. One of the first things that captured my attention was a stunning wall-to-wall mural behind the front office desk. This remarkable artwork vividly depicted the cultural heritage of Karnataka, featuring Kola performances, Kambala races, and other local traditions that have gained recent pan-India popularity thanks to the movie ”Kantara.” It served as a captivating introduction to the exciting experiences that awaited me during my stay. Let's talk about the accommodation. The rooms were tastefully appointed and impeccably clean. I particularly appreciated the Skylight Suites, which, while lacking a balcony, featured a beautifully decorated and spacious sitting area with a skylight adjacent to the main room. This clever design made the room feel more expansive. However, it's worth mentioning that the washrooms could benefit from better ventilation. In terms of dining, the food was satisfactory, but I would suggest diversifying the menu to include more vegetarian options to cater to a wider range of preferences. Now, let me highlight the standout feature of my stay – the in-house transportation services provided by the hotel. They operated with exceptional efficiency, boasting well-maintained and spotlessly clean vehicles. The chauffeurs were not only punctual but also displayed the utmost professionalism. I must give a special commendation to Mr. Balraj, who not only ensured our smooth transport to the temples we had planned to visit but also offered valuable insights into darshan durations. His willingness to take us to additional temples during our journeys, such as the Mariamman Temple in Mangalore, Rajarajeshwari Temple in Polali, Bappanadu Parameshwari Temple in Mulki, and Uchchila Maha Lakshmi on the way to Udupi (and possibly more that I can't recall at the moment) was truly exceptional. His knowledge of cultural immersion opportunities, especially during Navratris, was remarkable, and he even introduced us to experiences like the Yakshagana performance at Kadri Manjunatheswar. As my trip had a strong focus on pilgrimage, his insights into these sacred places were invaluable. His careful and considerate approach as a driver was exemplary. Not once did he engage in rash driving, even in the challenging and treacherous forested, mountainous routes that we encountered. Furthermore, Mr. Balraj's helpful nature shone brightly throughout our journey. With my elderly parents accompanying me, his assistance was greatly appreciated. He went above and beyond to ensure their comfort and well-being, offering his support at every turn. His unwavering dedication to both our safety and enjoyment of the trip made him an indispensable part of our experience. Mr. Balraj truly embodies the spirit of excellence in service. Very pleased with my stay at AJGrand. Located centrally in the city of ***galuru and a short distance from attractions, and within easy reach of transportation options just outside the hotel. Well-***aged and clean 4-star hotel. Staff and ***agers are friendly, focussed, hard-working and professional. Onsite veg, non-veg restaurants and two lounges serve tasty food and drinks. Breakfast is wholesome with made-to-order dosa and omlette stations, traditional and continental offerings. Rooms are stylishly furnished, showers are hot, and guest rooms at the back of the property are quiet and insulated from traffic noise from the main road. Room service offers good choices and housekeeping is very responsive. Hotel can arrange taxi’s for hassle-free airport and local transportation.

The first day at Vivanta was for academic reasons. It was the chosen venue for our meeting and turned out to be a great choice. The hall was good, seating, lighting, stage , acoustics and of course food was good too. This part of our trip was efficiently coordinated by Ms Shalini Doreen , the Sales Manager. Seeing the central location and easy accessibility I extended our stay by another day and enjoyed the buffet breakfast and used the gym and though the pool looked inviting the weather was not a great host. The nice breakfast spread let to a hurried check out which was handled by a very prompt Deepika ,but in the rush missed packing something and it was promptly couriered back to me. I have to thank Sudeesh and Roopa for that ! All in all a great stay and great staff. Will be back here soon

The hotel is good. They maintain it very well. Decent enough for a couple or family to stay. It's almost centered around most of the places in mangalore. So i would definitely recommend the stay here. No pics

A cozy experience with spacious rooms and connectivity. Perfect location and economical option with courteous staff Which helped checkin in 5 mins and similarly check out as well. Definitely would recommend as one of the good stay options other than the costlier options like AJ , Vivanta etc.

The Hotel was really clean and nice and staff was also very friendly and Even Front office Abhishek had beautiful Smile while checking in And As per request TV was not working Mr Rakshith came and Solved the problem Quickly and even he gave the Water Bottles and Assisted me very well I'm happy with the All the staff I'm very thankful for ginger for giving as memorable stay

Excellent property away from all the noise. It offers the best to family to friends who are on a weekend getaway. Nice resorts amidst the greenery of your choice. Neat wooden deluxe amenities, a nice fit to your pocket. Young and Children-friendly, you can find all that play and fun. Good food and service, with professional staff. Except this property is a bit far from the beaches of Mangalore.
