Cleatham Hall

we have just returned from a 3 night stay and spent much of our journey home down the A1 discussing how much we had enjoyed the weekend . Jim and Kate could not be more welcoming hosts .What struck us upon arrival was just how lovely and warm the hotel was, We had a great room, superviews across unspoilt countryside and there was absolutely no noise to worry about . A pint of ale in the cosy bar preceded an excellent meal on all 3 evenings. Breakfast was equally impressive and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts . you would pay twice as much for somewhere like this in the Cotswolds and I doubt it would be as good .We are already planning a second trip in the Autumn with both Southwell and Market Rasen race courses not that far away .

We had the most wonderful stay and were looked after by Jim and Kate in every regard. Cleatham Hall is stunning with breath taking views and luxurious rooms to wander in and out of whist admiring the decor and the building itself. We were looked after...... thank you so much.

I recently stayed at Cleatham Hall and had a wonderful experience. The location is incredibly quiet, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The room was both comfortable and classic, offering a perfect blend of elegance and coziness. Overnight stay on a business trip and usually stay in Hull city centre. Decided to try Cleatham Hall for a change. It's a perfect oasis of peace and tranquiity in a countryside setting. Friendly hospitality. Luxurious but not pretentious. Lovely rooms and good food. Have added this to our recommended places lists for my colleagues as well.

We were the only two guests on the evening at this beautiful country house. The owner came outside to greet me as I arrived and couldn’t have been more welcoming. The place has genuine character and felt homely - often a word used to describe somewhere ‘tired’, but this is not the case, it was genuinely just so comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt like we were some sort of Downton Abbey with a private chef along with butler, barman, and just genuinely nice people. Dinner was very good and not rushed considering the chef was only there for us, and after dinner we suggested that the owners could just leave us in the lounge and retire themselves for the evening which they happily did leaving us to ‘turn the lights out’………….. just so ‘comfortable’. I would definitely recommend this place as the rooms are spacious, the food is great, and the service is friendly yet professional. We intend to return (we were there for work ‘away day’ discussions), but fear if there are other guests it won’t be the same :-)

Nestled in a secluded and luxurious corner of Lincolnshire lies Cleatham Hall, a place I had never heard of before my stay but will now never forget. Arriving late in the evening, I was warmly welcomed by Jim, whose gracious hospitality immediately made me feel at ease. He kindly offered food and drinks, though I had already catered for myself, before escorting me to my charming room, separate from the main building. The converted barn, with its exposed beams and compact yet comfortable design, exuded a calming charm that set the tone for a restful night. After one of the best night’s sleeps I’ve had in recent memory, I awoke to the distant sound of pheasants and the realization of the stunning surroundings visible from my window—a serene view that must be even more breath taking in the summer months. I’d scheduled breakfast for 9 a.m., but arriving early, I was greeted by a polite and attentive staff member who led me to the elegant dining area. In the light of day, Cleatham Hall revealed its true beauty—a perfect blend of historic grandeur and modern elegance. The full breakfast was exquisite, made even more enjoyable by the soothing sounds of Etta James in the background. Additionally, I’d faced an unexpected issue on arrival due to an issue with my organisation’s booking system, however Jim handled the situation with professionalism and efficiency, contributing to resolving the payment problem seamlessly the following morning. Also, a special thanks to Kate for her warm and attentive hospitality the following morning as we discussed various theories of life. The combination of a fantastic location, outstanding service, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere made my experience truly memorable. Yet again Thank you, Jim and Kate, for such a wonderful stay
