Marari Beach Resort Alleppey- a CGH Earth Experience

Amazing Stay at this hotel. Awesome staff great installations and rooms. The food is great. 100% recomendable for some peaceful days.

Good to stay with family

After a hectic two weeks of sightseeing and long days travelling we booked Marari Beach as an extension to our tour to have a few days relaxation before we flew back to the UK. Spending a little extra and upgrading to a garden villa with pool was the best decision we made. The extra private outdoor space, was a bonus as well as the pool of course. Being able to have a dip first thing in the morning and last thing at night when the water was surprisingly cool was a delight. We didn’t spend much time on the beach, as to be honest it didn’t look that inviting but the hotel grounds are pleasant. Do take a walk with Shibu who is an expert in the bird life of the area including the owls. He could spot the creatures more easily with his naked eye than I could with binoculars! There is a lovely butterfly garden and chai served on the lawn every afternoon with snacks. The food in the restaurant is good and varied and the staff friendly and welcoming. We didn’t get massages here as the spa was expensive compared to other places we have stayed on this tour (more aligned to UK prices than India). It’s easy to get out and about in the area. Take a tuk tuk to the fish landing site early morning for immersion in the local life of the fishermen and the buyers of their catch. Or take a tuk tuk into Alleppey. The driver will wait for you as you peruse the shops. A great place to chill at the end of a tour

This hotel is a joke. I tried to book a room through their website but they do not accept international cards. My reservation got cancelled after a couple of days because I could not make the payment. After several calls and emails, the sales department kept ignoring my request to share a payment link that would accept international cards, simply replying that the current link worked. I ended up asking my hotel in Delhi to contact them and the CGH team simply hang up on them after saying that we should not have booked through a travel agent (which we didn’t?) Clearly they do everything not to have any guests. I live in India and have honestly never seen anything like it!

Great place to stay. Very nature centric, rooms are well designed with open bathroom and amenities. Great food for all 3 course meals including breakfast. However the place is pricey. Recommend to carry India based credit/debit card. I saw USD exchange rates quoted 10% less than actual market rate

Simply perfect! Full of beauty and real care for environment! Rooms elegant, swimming pool with salty water! Staff super kind! Close to the beach with gorgeous restaurants! There are a lot of activities and a yoga and Ayurveda centre! Fantastic

What a beautiful experience we had at Marari. The staff are so warm and courteous. They knew we had come for our first anniversary and they arrange a special cake for us and made it extra special. Adarsh and Jithin from the serving team we so warm and caring. Shibu who was a multi talented person took us around and helped us in spotting so many birds and other creatures I would highly recommend his activities specially owl parliament (owl spotting) We signed up for yoga classes aa well which was so good. This is a great place for couples as well as families Lots of activities. The food was so fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend

My family and I stayed in Marari Beach CGH for three nights, and we loved the experience. The food was delicious. The rooms, mineral pool, private beach, and facilities were meticulously maintained. And my kids loved the crafting workshop and nature tour with Shibu. We will be back!
