We came as a family to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday and we really liked the hotel the pool area furnishings food all fantastic. The roof bar is lovely for evening drinks and everything was almost perfect. Breakfast was excellent but the waiters providing orange juice and drinks just didn’t seen on it the service was slow to non existent it was easier to get it yourself. The bar service around the pool was as bad it took ages to get a drink. The rooms overall were really nice and the heat bidet toilets a novelty. The junior suite for our son and his family was a good size but felt a little less up to date with the rest of the rooms we had there was always room for us around the pool and considering there were 11 of us we thought that was good. The adult area pool also looks great and somewhere we would like if we come again on our own lunch near the pool was excellent and the staff there very good and friendly great family holiday just wish the drinks services would have been better as this hotel is lovely

We travel a lot and this was one of the best finds we have experienced in a long tim. The hotel has been refurbished recently and is an amazing 5 star hotel! Great staff. The breakfast was the best anywhere. Laura Asproiu from the concierge desk was amazing! She was one of the best concierges we have interacted with at any hotel. Great location! Choice of pools, great water views from rooms and the lounge amenities and the gym were also excellent.

Beautifully refurbished, calm hotel in the perfect position with beautiful pool and grounds and lovely staff! The spa wasn’t as good as we’d hoped as we booked the hotel especially for the spa but the pool was cold , sauna too hot and steam room was tepid. The rest of the experience was great just the sevuce by the pool was very slow and inefficient at times.

My mother, daughter and I had a wonderful time in the El Fuerte Marbella. The decor is amazing down to the smallest detail. When you walk in the door of the hotel there is an air of calmness around you. The staff could not be better, nothing was too much trouble, and the room and food were excellent too. We were given a very spacious side sea view room with a balcony which was nicely shaded. We look forward to returning to this beautiful hotel!

The best thing about this hotel is the employees . From David at the pool, to Emmanuel for breakfast , the lady also at the bread station , the cleaning lady…. Everyone is so attentive and make your stay special . The decoration is sort of retro chic I loved it!!

Hotel El Fuerte is absolutely wonderful, highly recommend! Wish we could have stayed longer, we didn’t want to leave! Every luxurious detail is perfect. We had a water front room with balcony, the view is breathtaking. Really Comfy bed & pillows. All of the staff were wonderful, very gracious & helpful. They had live entertainment at night & the singer had a fantastic voice. The breakfast is phenomenal, anything you could want & some things you didn’t even expect. Jamon Iberico, oysters, charcuterie, eggs & omelettes made to order, crepes, waffles, so many pastries, delicious fresh fruit, gluten-free options, healthy foods as well as typical buffet offerings. Plus Cava to make a mimosa if you want. The beach & pools are great, lots of lounge chairs at all the pools & on the beach. Umbrellas are there if you need a little shade. Make sure to go to the rooftop for the view. We ate at Soleo on the beach for lunch twice, great food & wonderful staff. It’s about 5 to 10 minutes walk to Marbella Old Town, so beautiful & charming, we loved wandering the streets. We also loved walking along the Promenade. There are tons of great restaurants within a few minutes’ walk of the resort. We especially enjoyed Luini (get the pasta made in a wheel of Parmesan, it’s so delicious) and for tapas, Bodega Venencia was outstanding. Thank you to everyone at Hotel El Fuerte!!! We really enjoyed our visit!!

The hotel has undergone an extensive renovation and now is absolutely first class. Having stayed many times previously we noted that some of the charm and character of the hotel has been lost but compensated by the new modern styling. The hotel is excellently placed for the beach and the old town. Previously the hotel had sun loungers on the beach but they weren’t there this visit. We stayed in a jacaranda selected room which was extremely stylish and comfortable with front sea views. The selected option allows access between 11-9 to an area where complimentary snacks and drinks are available. There is inside and outside seating and provides a pleasant area to enjoy the sun and relax. Breakfast in the selected area was relaxed and buffet was substantial. Bar food was excellent too. The staff were in the main very helpful, knowledgeable and polite with unfortunately a few who were less helpful. Overall very impressed and hope to return soon.

Just back from an amazing long weekend in this absolute gem of a hotel. Honestly apart from being charged for a packet of biscuits on check out, which was sorted immediately as we didn't eat them? This hotel scored 98 out of a 100 for me. Loved it, the staff make this place so special as each and every one of them, from life guards to room staff are so polite, always a hello, good morning/evening etc. The location was perfect, as was the pool and there was no lack of beds and boy are they comfy. Read some issues with people complaining regarding towels or service from poolside, I can honestly say we didn't encounter any issues with either, yes there is a slight wait during busy times for poolside drinks etc, but you are on holiday so what is the rush. The breakfast I was looking forward to as the reviews for this were exceptional and it didn't disappoint, you would be hard pushed to find anything wrong with the breakfast, choice and staff, all 10 out of 10. My only comments would be on receiving the bill on checking out for all items charged to the room, could this be itemised. We charged everything to the room and on checking out you couldn't make out what you had been charged for as just number not items on the bill. Will stay here again. Just loved it, loved the location.

Are used to stay at this hotel before it got renovated it has been renovated into something spectacular with lovely Mediterranean views. For other people this would be pricey but since we make a fair amount it was not. The rooms were lovely but my child had to sleep on a sofa bed which I personally think was unacceptable for the prices we were paying. There are two pools and a hot tub which are delightful. You can see the beach from them. The beach is very close. It is not even a five minute walk this hotel even has an ice cream shop located underneath. The breakfast here is scrumptious. I always get the croissant all the stuff I lovely un speak very good English this hotel is located central of my Bay close to everything. I always stay here in October and Easter but I would like some action to be taken since there was only a queen bed and a sofa bed , I might add that they also had a heated toilet seat I would highly recommend this is very pricey for a normal people, but since I make a fair amount it was under budget Would highly recommend I am staying here in three weeks
