What’s good: The double bed is comfy and spacious, Queen Room had great space. Six soft drink cans and two waters complimentary. Tea and coffee great. Staff were lovely. Microwave and bar fridge worked fine. Air conditioning in room worked fine. Four minutes drive from the Main Street of town. What’s not: The Stay Margaret River official website states they are ‘luxury accommodation’, this is extremely misleading. $954.00AUD for three nights with no daily housekeeping. Room service delivered like takeaway but at room service prices, delivered in cardboard containers, not on a tray, no plates or cutlery, small portions for the price. Dishes cooked and delivered in no particular order. No food orders accepted after 8pm, even on a weekend. If you want your coffee cups, glasses, plates replaced, you have to take them to the ‘self catering centre’ and replace them yourself. TV in room is not a Smart TV. Entire complex is so tired, pool, grounds, furniture; shower in the bath. If you’re paying over $300 a night, you expect a bit more IMO. Either reduce your price to a budget hotel level or improve the facilities and service.

While this place is in a great location, it is not worth the most horrendous sleep that you will ever encounter. We booked a King room, only to be given a room with two King singles pushed together. Needless to say, there was a an uneven gap between the two mattresses. The beds are in dire need of replacing - coils pushing into your back, sagging and permanent indentations all leading to a terrible sleep. And don't expect any sympathy from the owner, Lee - he could care less, offering no solution to the problem other than to tell us to find accommodation elsewhere. And here in lies the problem - it's Margaret River, so they charge what they want and too bad if the service is inferior because it's Margaret River. If you value your sleep, don't bother booking this place. It is well overdue for some investment in replacing the beds. I would give this a 0 rating if I could - 0 for zero sleep the entire time we were there.

We enjoyed our stay in a villa with 2 queen size beds, 1 bathroom and 2 toilets. Very spacious bedrooms. Spotlessly clean. Roomy and generously appointed kitchen and living area with plenty of amenities. Laundry was a bonus! Pub meals very closely located to our rooms.

The cottages are well equipped, decent sized fridge and microwave. Comfortable bed. Air conditioner worked really well. The bathrooms are large. Hot water and good water pressure in the shower. The accommodation at the tourist park is very cramped and compact. The parking is quite tight and there is a maximum amount of people & cars jammed into the park. There are signs in the cottage to keep the premises clean, however when we checked in our cottage was just superficially clean. The linen’s and towels were clean, however the floors and mirrors were not cleaned, there were bits in the fridge and the mat inside the cottage was full of sand, so I think the bulk of the cleaning of the unit is reliant on the previous guest. The park is great for kids with loads of things for them to do. Big bouncy pillow was very popular and there is also a nice playground and a pool to swim in. Guest laundry facilities are available at an additional cost and plenty of places to hang up your washing. There are BBQ facilities around the property to use. The caravan park is an easy walk into Margaret River town centre.

Love our stay. Warm inviting- high standards staff professional and personable - manner has a distinct English countryside appeal - waking up in the morning and looking out through a most amazing ceiling to the floor window onto the full bloomed English style rose garden with my morning cuppa tea was rememberable - thankful

Situato in una zona molto tranquilla. Le cose positive si fermano qui. Appena entri, un odore di lettiera per la cacca dei gatti, probabilmente il tappeto, ti assale immediatamente. La colazione “compresa” consiste in cornflakes , pane, latte e succo d’arancio messi su un tavolo di vetro all’ingresso. Arrangiati! La notte, improvvisamente partono dei rumori che sembra di viaggiare su una nave cargo. I letti non vengono fatti e le stoviglie te le devi lavare tu. Non c’è una pentola per poter cucinare un piatto di pasta. La reception non rispetta gli orari di apertura. Non esiste rapporto qualità prezzo. Il costo della camera è quello di un hotel di alto livello, ma il servizio e la struttura sono da motel di bassissima categoria. Cercate altrove e se non trovate a Margaret River, ci sono un sacco di piccoli villaggi nei dintorni dove trovare di meglio.

Rundown serviced apartments The resort itself could be lovely if money was spent on it but unfortunately looks like a run down motel. 2 playgrounds one overlooking the restaurant which is fantastic for kids or while your having a bite. The second playground is in dire need of repair with faulty swings and play equipment. The pool was freezing in September which we knew it would be but we had some 20+ degree days would have been nice to have the heater on during peak school holidays period. Tiles around the pool are dangerous our daughter went to jump in and the tile lifted, upon checking several others faulty also. The sauna was full of graffiti and not operational. Our room was filthy and stunk of stale cigarette smoke. Countless cobwebs and spiders. The blind was faulty, the spa bath was dirty and had hair in it. Floors not properly cleaned. The outside deck was full on sand and cobwebs, we had to look for a broom to sweep it so we could sit out. We discovered we had no hand towel or bath mat which was dangerous trying to get out of a deep spa onto tiles with wet feet. The shower curtain had mould all over it, it needs to be thrown out. We asked for a mat which was delivered while we were out but housekeeping left our door unlocked much to our surprise after being out all day. Went to have a wine and the glass was chipped and needs to be thrown out. Just as well we didn’t need the ceiling fan on as it was covered in dust and was above the bed. Not to mention the cobweb hanging overhead. The walls are paper thin so didn’t have a relaxing sleep. The staff all seem like backpackers who can’t be bothered. The resort needs money spent on it. Charging peak prices for motel standard rooms is robbery. I understand the staff shortage but to still charge nearly $300 a night for poor standard rooms isn’t acceptable.

The place was very busy when we arrived as everyone it seems was watching boxing on TV in the “common” a bar/restaurant attached to the resort. I was surprised by how many units there were, the place is a bit out of the way, the very pleasant receptionist had allocated a one bed upstairs apartment overlooking the surrounding area sea view. There was plenty of free parking right outside the apartment. The unit had a separate bedroom with ceiling fan, a large clean comfortable bed. In the apartment was a small kitchenette with hob, microwave and toaster. The bathroom had a Spa bath with overhead shower, also there was avery useful washing machine and dryer. Outside i opposite was a decent sized swimming pool with some loungers, however pool towels are not provided here. These are ideal if you intend to self cater, most of the people staying I guess probably brought a good supply of food with them as the nearest shops would be back in Margaret River Town, a good 10 minutes drive. There is a bar / restaurant on site, breakfast can be had at the White Elephant beach cafe across the Road 5 minutes walk beach side. Margaret River beach apartments is a super place to stay at both for travelling through and holidaying.
