Dar Rocmarra

This is a beautiful Riad Ian a nice quiet location. The staff are friendly and very helpful- nothing seemed to be any trouble. Our room was really spacious and super clean with lovely touches to make you feel at home. The breakfast on the rooftop was delicious. It was hard to leave!

We went over to Marrakesh with friends for a long weekend and rented out the whole Riad for a more personalised and exclusive treatment and we couldn’t of chosen a better thing, Jamila was out standing and wellcoming from beginning to the end. Rooms are amazing and beds are superb.

My 'home from home' in Marrakech, and our 8th stay at Dar Rocmarra before and after our annual journey to the desert. Comfortable, welcoming, and the finest breakfast imaginable - and dinner, cooked by the amazing Jamila, to set the group on our way to the sands. Next year's dates already booked!

We stayed at Dar Rocmarra for 3 nights. We were met at the taxi drop by Jamila who took us to the riad where we were served mint tea and sweet snacks whilst being told everything we needed to know about our visit to Marrakech. Our room was cosy and immaculate and the bed was sprinkled with rose petals. The central open courtyard is incredibly beautiful and peaceful and is a perfect place for breakfast. We had dinner in the courtyard one evening and had a Tagine prepared by Jamila which was the best Tagine of our trip to Morocco. The rooftop terrace is a perfect spot for chilling out with a drink in the evening. We loved our stay at Dar Rocmarra being looked after by Jamila, having chats with Jalil and having an immaculate room courtesy of Latifa. If you're reading this wondering if you should stay at Dar Rocmarra, the answer is yes. You will not be disappointed.

Dar Rocmarra was the key to a first trip to Marrakech - and for the next trip too! Hidden away among the alleyways of Dar Bacha is a real jewel. Forget your same-as international chains, this is real Marrakech with superb standards - the space, the gorgeous rooms, the cool courtyard, the rooftop terrace, fantastic food and outstanding service - day or night. Located within mere minutes walk of the vibrant souks which are the heart of Marrakech and just beside all the services - bustling markets, restaurants, hammans, taxis, currency exchange and ATMs, Dar Rocmarra is tranquil oasis is a traditional Moroccan building with all the mod-cons. It is spotlessly clean - and I mean really spotless - and gives a wonderful sense of safety and security. The owners, Julie and Rob happened to be there when we arrived and we got the lowdown on just about everything we needed to have a wonderful few days in Marrakech. Jemilla, Jalil and Lefitah took wonderful care of us and served up a marvellous breakfast every morning to set us up for the day - in the cool courtyard and up on the rooftop terrace, a great sun-trap fully kitted out with loungers for a quiet read or take the sun. Marrakech is a feast for the senses and a real eye-opener. We found it safe, friendly, with fantastic food and the haggling in the markets was part of the fun! Dar Rocmarra organised our transfers to and from the airport - just 20 minutes away - and at all hours efficiently and we were met at the nearby taxi drop-off and brought to the hotel. If you want a REAL Marrakech experience in tranquil comfort, right in the heart of the old city, this is the place for you! Very happy to recommend and definitely will return. Lovely quiet riad, very friendly and helpful staff with fantastic breakfast in the morning. Very close to the hustle and bustle of the Medina but the riad is so peaceful that it feels like you’re in a different place! Would definitely come again - hopefully for a longer stay next time
