We stayed here for our honeymoon and couldn’t help but plan our next return before we’d even left. From your first steps onto the property you are met by lush, tranquil water gardens and beautiful wildlife (although don’t let that get to the peacocks heads!) You are greeted with delicious juice, a cold towel, and friendly faces right away. Then you step further into the property and see clay paths as far as the eye could see. The staff is exceptional - Dilanka, our butler, and Saseesh, our restaurant server, went above and beyond to make our stay special. Dilanka planned a dinner by the pool to watch the moon rise and Sasheesh remembered our water and food preferences from night one - not to mention had the friendliest smile we’d ever seen. David does everything he can to make you feel valued as a guest, stopping each night to chat with us even though they are in peak busy season.

This was the second time I visited Heritance Kandalama and it was better than the last stay especially I would like to mention the Guest Relations Executive Miss. Yoshina for taking care of our family and fulfilling all our needs with all the needed information with her efficient style and making the stay comfortable also big shoutout to the chefs food was beyond amazing and the restaurant staff was very active as well and also the suite was amazing with all the amenities that should be there in a room overall a 10/10 experience and a must visit place in Sri Lanka ♥️

As someone who has visited quite a few places abroad and locally, I have never visited the hotel that was so well thought out from construction and where the owners put a lot of love and care into the creation of the property. That is tremendously let down by the distasteful lack of service and cost cutting by the management company, which in this case is Thilanka. Starting off with the welcome, the security attendant was not bothered and just directed us to another place. No welcome towels or ease of check in. As a local group we were treated as some sort of unwanted vagabonds. Upon check in, out of 6 rooms, 5 were checked in and a single was not. The front office manager Hasintha was rude and just said hotel policy is 2 pm check in. He did not offer any apology, any reason and he didn't make any effort to correct the situation. When we went to the rooms there was no linen, no bath mats, no amenities. We informed the reception and they reverted that the linen was in the laundry so therefore there aren't any towels! We made it a point to inform the GM and to try and rectify the situation. He did get the housekeeping to provide the linen. Along with a few amenities and this was appreciated. However this was followed up with even shoddier service from the hotel staff. The lunch was a cheap cost cutting approach of just a sri lankan lunch, with barely any meats. The same can be said for the breakfast, which was mediocre. The place is very overstaffed, but nobody is actually doing anything or making an actual effort. The management don't seem to be concerned. The 24 hour reception seemed to be closed at 10 30 pm. We were yelling for a staff member and a dishevelled individual came out, we requested for some water and he just informed they had run out of water! We were obviously irate so we started making a fuss, at which point he called the housekeeping department and we suddenly got water. The next day when we asked for toothpaste or a dental kit they informed they don't provide those. However for the foreigners they are provided with all the necessary amenities. I understand if they don't want to stock it, but if you call the reception and ask for a dental kit, it is completely unprofessional to refuse and just state that they don't issue them. The good things are about the property is the maintenance and the landscaping. However the service and food is what really destroys the reputation Its dissapointing because the property looks like it was a great property that is ruined by bad management. Cheap ideas like cutting off the air conditioning in the restaurant and just switching on the fans and opening the windows in the scorching weather is just short term gains, and affecting the future of the property. The construction and fittings have been done with care. However the property staff needs to have a major change in their approach to customer service.

The experience is so different to hotel living! Nestled in kandy, among luscious green trees, warm people and a personal butler - certainly an experience. While the loaded pictures are that of the tent - the tent is not a positive experience for everyone! We asked to move to the private villas at the top of the hill - where one could actually hear the azaan (call to prayer) 5 times a day from the valleys in front of you! The people at the resort: omg! This review matches my comments of that at the Hilton in yalla! Mr haleem, Mr Sanjeev and my personal favourite ❤️ personal butler Mr Nilantha Sisira Kumara - you are an outstanding human being- your attendance to us at breakfast - served on a table that felt like we’re at home, checking up on me when I didn’t make it for breakfast or lunch - and attendance to my laundry when I spilled hair serum on two white outfits! Mr Haleem - thank u for the complementary meal on day one! Mr Sanjeev, thank you for coming to check on the laundry to see how best to help me! Thank u to the warmest, kindest, most gentlest carying human beings that have cross my path in life! While Kandy is not a place I will necessarily visit again - I will probably come head to this very place to escape the hustle and bustle of life! Oh and the chef - you make the most awesome parathas! There were days I could have settled for just a paratha and a coke! Keep it up - you gorgeous human beings! I had an excellent experience with my stay in Amaya, a beautiful place to relax and yummy buffet breakfast with many regional food to choose. The room was definitely the biggest I’ve ever been and very clean. I would definitely recommend and come back again

酒店的位置比較偏僻，但裏面像莊園一樣。客房是類似於平層別墅的一張大床加一小床的房間，可以住三個成年人。房間衞生不錯，馬桶旁地漏容易積水。大床的床墊軟硬適中，落地門窗面向園內，景觀一流。雖然沒看到猴子來拍門，但各種鶯啼鳥囀不絕於耳，生態自然環境保護得很好👍早餐品種豐富，不衹是咖喱食物，還有不少培根燕麥類的，還有西瓜木瓜等熱帶水果。比較滿意的一次住宿
