Hotel di Le Morne, Mauritius

Great hotel. Perfect location! The beach in front of the hotel (and the whole Le morne beach) is so stunning. The water is sooo clear and had different shades of blue. We stayed all over the island on our trip but we find Lux Le morne has the most amazing beach with the view of Le morne mountain and when you go out in the sea and look back at the hotel, it’s just so so stunning! The room was also cozy with very comfortable bed. The only bad thing about the room was the hot water in shower sometimes just stopped working (finished) and we had to wait!! There are a lot of sun beds but if you don’t reserve one, they are usually all taken by the afternoon. Breakfast was good. Lots of water activities. The gym was a bit too small and sauna took forever to get heated so we gave up. Service was good. The pools were beautiful with the view of Le morne mountain. Overall, we loved this hotel and enjoyed our stay a lit. This was our most fav hotel in Mauritius and if we ever return, we would stay here again.

This is a wonderful resort, on a fantastic island, in a stunning location. We have done a lot of travelling and this holiday surpassed all expectation. We liked the remoteness of the location as we were there to relax but did venture out for 2 day trips. The Chamarel rum distillery is great. We found the staff couldn't do more to help, friendly, chatty and helpful (easily sorting an issue with our room and getting us moved). The food was absolutely faultless, the buffet can't be beaten (fresh fish, meat, veg and great global dishes) but we also had a superb meal at the Asian and Indian. The whole set up made it all made it an effortless holiday. If you miss breakfast you can get a coffee and pastry/fruit/yogurt at the coffee bar from 10am - equally if you miss lunch they've got snacks and Pepe's grill stays open till later. The rooms are spacious and perfectly cleaned everyday and have all the amenities you need. The beds are comfy and huge. The drinks offer is great. I have been to some all inclusive and been offered low quality spirits and poor wine but both were good with a great range of cocktails. Bottles of different wine started at £20 which is great value. We didn't manage to conquer the app but it's only needed for 2 restaurants in the adult only bit and reception booked us the dinner we wanted in the Asian restaurant. The buffet however wins out every time for food offering and is the only option for sitting outside. We found the strong breeze very welcoming (around the pool it is more sheltered) as it was 32 every day. It is great to watch the kite surfers etc out on the water. The sea was fine to swim in everyday apart from one day when it was a bit choppy so we walked round the corner into the sheltered side. Take wet shoes if you want to snorkel as it is a bit rocky/coral on your way in.

We stayed at the Riu Turquoise as a family of 4 for 11 days towards the end of October. In short, we had a great holiday at a hotel that delivered on most fronts, with most of the negatives down to poor management. There are lots of negative reviews for the Turquoise which made me quite worried about going there as I had booked prior to the hotel reopening. While there are valid criticisms of some of the services, especially during the initial opening period, proper research before you book and travel here should negate most of these. I would point out that the majority of the bad reviews are from locals who flood to the hotel every weekend, and a lot of those bad reviews, in my opinion are down to unrealistic expectations. This is a large “4 star” hotel and it will never deliver the ambiance and specialised experiences that a smaller or more expensive 5 star resort would or should Some of the watch outs before you decide on this hotel are as follows: • This is a big hotel with 700 rooms if you include the Palace and some of the facilities are shared. The Turquoise is the family resort and is very busy. If you want a quiet holiday with romantic experiences, this is not the hotel for you! • Its going to be windy. This is the windiest part of the island, hence the windsurfing and other wind associated activities on the lagoon. We had 3.5 calm days out of 11, and yes, the wind blows through the hotel. It doesn’t spoil the holiday as its warm most of the time, but it’s all down to location. The east and south coasts of Mauritius are windy all year round. • The speciality restaurants are shared with the Palace, so it’s always going to be difficult to book unless you know how the system works. I was able to book both with no problem but walked out of the Bangalore because the experience was so poor. (Night of my 60th birthday) • The location is isolated as are a lot of the hotels in Mauritius. You will need to use a taxi or rent a car to explore the area and beyond. The location is stunning by the way! • You will get frustrated at some of the basics, like not being given adequate and often, no towels every day and having to ask for other room sundries to be replenished such as shampoo and body wash. The management team seem to be incapable of resolving this one as you will see from other reviews. • While the rooms are a good size and clean, the beds are basically 2 singles shoved together, but still made up as singles. Ours were wobbly as the legs hadn’t been screwed on properly. There are proper double bed options but I’m guessing that would mean some sort of upgrade. The kids slept on a sofa bed that in hindsight was better than the singles for the adults. • The staff on the front desk are not welcoming or particularly friendly. Smiles were very hard to come by. Fortunately, you will not have to deal with them much after checking in unless you are complaining about having no towels or toiletries in your room. Actually, that’s every day! Taking all o

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was beautifully placed on the east coast of the island. Great views of the beach. But the truly outstanding thing about this place were the staff. Undoubtedly the heart and soul of the place. I definitely recommend anyone going to Mauritius to have a stay at this hotel. A very special thank you to Rishi & the team. Tropical Luxury and Unparalleled Service – A Dream Stay at Beachcomber Trou aux Biches Our stay at Beachcomber Trou aux Biches in room 402 was nothing short of spectacular! Nestled within a lush tropical garden, this resort offers a serene paradise that perfectly blends natural beauty with luxurious comfort. One of the highlights for us was the stunning tropical garden that envelops the entire resort. Walking through it felt like wandering in a botanical haven, with vibrant plants, colorful flowers, and serene water features creating a truly tranquil atmosphere. The food was another standout. With several on-site restaurants offering a diverse range of cuisines, we were spoiled for choice. Every meal was an experience in itself, with fresh ingredients and beautifully presented dishes that satisfied every craving. We must also commend the Spa, which provided an oasis of relaxation. From soothing massages to rejuvenating treatments, it was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring or lounging by the beach. Special praise goes to Kavita, a wonderful staff member who made each of our restaurant visits memorable. Her attentiveness, warm personality, and genuine care ensured that we had exceptional dining experiences throughout our stay. She truly made us feel special and added a personal touch to every meal. Beachcomber Trou aux Biches is a gem – from the incredible setting to the delicious food and top-tier service. We can’t wait to return to this tropical paradise!

An amazing hotel right on the water with every room facing the water. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. Beautiful big rooms with lovely balconies. The dinner and breakfast were also really good, with a great variety and a lovely outdoor area to sit at. I do however think the cleaning staff need to take a bit more care when cleaning. We were there for 6 nights and 3 of the nights we had to phone housekeeping because we did not have towels, or we did not get toilet paper, or we did not get our bath robes… and then housekeeping took at least 20-30minutes to bring the items. The other thing was that they put a single duvet into a double duvet - so when you are sleeping there are many times when you only have a sheet and no duvet. Maybe change that. Otherwise I really can’t complain about anything. There are plenty of beach chairs and there were always chairs available and it was an amazing and relaxing place.

The number one priority shared by every staff member at Salt is to provide superior customer service for their guests and ensure that their needs are met in a beautiful and relaxing environment! Everyone was kind and welcoming which made our stay enjoyable! We loved having easy access to the beaches, as well as the many water activities provided by the hotel. The gentlemen at the boat house were helpful and encouraged us to participate in all of the activities! The beach is very clean with breathtaking views of the clear blue, turquoise water, sunny days and beautiful sunrises/sunsets! The spa, Salt Equilibrium, is very nice! Anju has a fun, carefree personality, and very professional and knowledgeable in regards to massage therapy! The food was good, but my friend and I agreed it is a bit overpriced! Breakfast is made to order! The chocolate praline croissants were my favorite…oh! And chai lattes! Cocktails weren’t our favorite as I believe the bartenders were probably beginners. However, they do have nice wine selections! Overall, our experience was excellent and we would most definitely rebook this hotel again! One recommendation would be to have transportation (motor bike or car) so you’re able to venture off to see other areas of the island! However, the hotel reception would be more than willing to book transportation for you!

My and my boyfriend Harrison stayed at the Ravenala attitude hotel last week for 11 days we had the best holiday of our lives! Everything about our stay was perfect. The hotel itself is beautiful the rooms are huge and so picturesque the beds are so comfy! The food at the hotel buffet was the best I've experienced. The beach is stunning always enough beds , same with the pool. The evenings always had a great vibe with the live entertainment , the dance floor was always full of all ages. Our stay was made so special by the staff , every time we walked through the lobby they was always so nice and so attentive , every need was met and everyone we spoke to was lovely we want to especially thank Himansha, Hans , Linley and Ismail for going above and beyond for us! We celebrated both our birthdays at this resort we had surprise birthday cakes which we're delicious, rooms decorated and towards the end of the trip a room upgrade to the sea front suites which where incredible the views from these rooms are amazing plus you get your own beach front comfy beds ! If you want to stay at a hotel that is picture perfect with amazing food , great entertainment and to be surrounded by amazing people book this hotel!! Also I would say after travelling around the Island this location is great as it's close to grand baie and Port Louis which are such a good day / night out. First holiday I've cried at the airport not wanting to leave. Will 100% be returning!!

منتجع قمة في الرُقي.. المجتمع فيه والبيئة جدًا ممتازة وراقيه، الخدمة رائعة ويبحثون عن رضاك مهما كان، كريمين جدًا وطيبين كموظفين يعاملونك كأنك صديق لهم ولست مقيم عندهم وهو مُجرد موظف يخدمك كخدمة عادية.. مهتمين في جميع الزبائن من جميع الجنسيات وأنا كعربية ( سعودية ) تلقيت خدمة أكثر من رائعة وكانت توجد موظفة قمة في الذوق والأحترام والأدب أسمها زهراء. ماتتركنا بدون ماتلبي جميع احتياجاتنا ومن لُطفها كانت أيضًا تسألنا عن يومنا وكيف مدى رضانا عن المنتجع والاقامة. كنا مقيمين في فيلا رائعة جدًا.. كل ليلة يرسلون إلينا شوكلت مع صورة لمكان في موريشوس وتعريف عنه، لفته جدًا مميزة. من ناحية الأكل.. كانوا يهتمون في أكلنا كوننا مسلمين وكثير، وأيضًا ضيفونا مرتين على فطور عربي خاص من الشيف نفسه وهذا جدًا مميز لنا❤️ ويعني لنا الكثير كون أننا نذوق أكلنا من أيادي آخرى غيرنا تجربة شيقة.. الكثير والكثير من الخدمات الجميلة وأتمنى أن أكرر الزيارة مره آخرى لها❤️
