AGreat location, cool place which looks like a restaurant at the ground floor. 2 small swimming pools but no kitchen, so can’t cook. Nice people around. Beach gym at 5 minutes of walking.

Great staff who were happy to help with recommendations etc, great communal areas and great for solo Travelers. Stayed in a mixed dorm in November. Showers could be warmer! Toilets were nice and clean also. Had activities everyday which were a good mix

Great hostel for meeting other travelers! Staff was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. Hostel events were a lot of fun and the building was very cute :)

It was overall a great stay! Staff are awesome and helpful, activities planned every day so it makes it easy to meet people! Private rooms are secluded (at least the one I stayed at - 111). Definitely had some trouble sleeping at times. This particular bedroom is next to the bathroom which gets cleaned daily at around 5:45-6am and it’s pretty loud for a light sleeper. Another morning someone decided to play the guitar loudly on a Saturday morning at around 8am lol so that was a bummer. Definitely party people come in late but that’s inevitable. Breakfast was delicious, I didn’t try the cocktails though but I imagine they’re tasty, too. Bathrooms and rooms are tidy! Bed was comfy!

Horrible check-in, staff. Disgusting, wouldn’t clean bathrooms or replenish toilet paper for two whole days.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hostel was clean and had good amenities, staff were friendly and helpful, and events are offered daily to give you something to do and meet fellow travelers. The location is great too

Amazing hostel. Good food with music. Friendly host and staff. You feel welcomed the moment you enter. Located in the most historic spot. Easy to navigate around the city if your staying here.

We enjoyed the basic amenities like comfortable bed, location and security, but experienced many issues during our stay. Anytime it rained a little bit the courtyard you cross to get to the rooms would flood 4-8 inches. One night we were trapped in our room for 3 hours. We later learned that the water was full of sewage after seeing human fecal matter covering the courtyard. Some people complained of human feces on their shoes. We switched rooms but many other guests complained and got minimal compensation. Apparently, it’s a daily routine to have the sewage pumped during breakfast time at the entrance to the hostel. Next issue, showers upstairs would get ice cold after 1 minute. One day I swapped showers 3 times just to get the soap off. We ended up using a downstairs shower. Lastly, we wanted to extend for more nights. There’s a promo that will give you 15% off if you leave a review. After leaving the review I went to pay and it was about 30% more including the discount. We ended up not paying in cash and going through hostel world to save a good bit of money. Some other minor things: the wifi went out for almost a full day, when it rains the table and chairs get wet so there’s nowhere to sit so you can’t enjoy the restaurant, you can’t get up and have coffee and then breakfast later (coffee is included in breakfast or 30 pesos by itself, and free after breakfast). We also wanted to sign up for the Xochimilco gardens tour but the staff were encouraging heavy drinking at 11am, no food included and 1 mariachi song. We were hoping to experience some culture and enjoy the river but this tour was definitely not that. We talked to people that went and they regretted going, saying it was just a big drinking party in the middle of the day.

Met amazing people, the staff is incredible, especially Ale and Christian! I loved the events, especially Salsa!

Room Dirty and Dusty and had to ask cleaners to come back twice. Also had to specifically ask them to mop and not just sweep, Lockers so filthy and filled with past travellers left belongings that I could not use it. Rude reception staff!!

The Activities Director Ale put on a very fun karaoke night and had everyone participating. It was very very fun! They offered free shots for everyone who sang so the more you sang, the more drunk you got! It’s super super SUPER easy to make friends here if you’re a solo traveler or couple. The food is delicious and I like the weekly and daily creative food ideas Olga and Julia come up with. They are excellent cooks! The best part of the hostel is the bar staff Freddy and Benji! They are always so happy and engaging and laughing with all of us guests and they make us feel good when they chat with us. Freddy makes the best cocktails in the world and he does it with love and passion. Because of their fun nature and happy spirit, I kept buying drinks. If they were not naturally kind, I wouldn’t buy drinks there and instead buy them outside. Thanks Benji and Freddy for being super cool and super friendly with everyone. There’s never a time they weren’t smiling and that makes a big difference in a traveler, especially if we’ve had a tough day or long travels or experienced lost luggage, etc.

The staff was simply arrogant and pretentious. From the check-in untill leaving, it was a total disaster. I went to the Viajero's in Peru and that was a dream, but Mexico was something else. The French girl at the reception from Tourcoing did not want to help me and she ignored me the whole time. The guy who was working with her threw me the keys in the air by check-in and in the further stay, he was not answering on my questions. The only good staff was Jonathan! What a fantastic guy. I will never come back to Viajero thanks to this staff.
