Hotel berhampiran Old Sulfur Mines at Paliorema, Milos

It’s hard to decide where to start. Having stayed in many different type of hotels around the world Milos Sea Resort genuinely is one of the best so far. What makes it so exeptional is it’s manager and her staff. We were really lucky as we got upgraded free of charge into a room with a large private pool. The room was very clean and comfortable. Housekeeping and room service work well. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had with many different vegetarian and even some vegan options. It’s not a large buffet breakfast but the quality of the food is amazing. I don’t know where they have found their chef but she sure is a keeper. The manager greets every customer personally, gives information when needed and tells stories behind the dishes such as this delicious fresh water melon juice that they make. The location of the hotel is 10 min from Adamantas. We used iMove app to order taxi (similar to Uber) but many people rent a car. However you don’t really need to go anywhere from the hotel as the restaurant offer lunch and dinner as well. We enjoyed some delicious vegetarian pasta and risotto with matching greek white wine recommended by the manager. The beach is few minutes walk from the hotel. There is a small beach club with good drinks, sun beds and music to enjoy. We were lucky as the sea was quite calm but we were told that Milos is usually more windy with bigger waves. The staff were friendly and polite. You can see they really like working at the Milos Sea Resort. The manager makes sure everyone is enjoying their stay and makes you feel welcome and appreciated. I really can’t say anything negative about the hotel. I would only point out that there is no main pool so if you don’t prefer swimming in the ocean make sure to book a room with a private pool.

This is the 14th time I have stayed at Ippocampos. The location just outside of the bustling center of Adamas is central to exploring the island without necessarily having to rent a car. The host family is simply wonderful and caters to your every need. The rooms and surroundings are kept immaculately clean, the view from my balcony is heavenly, and the local beach is close by. And not least the recent addition of a central breakfast buffet is amazing! My advice is to plan for more that just a couple of days here. Milos is a fascinating island, so give yourself time here instead of just saying ”hello” and ”goodby” and hopping away to another island. You will not regret it!

We stayed at the apartments at the end of a 5 week stay in the Cyclades. The apartment was large and could sleep 4 people with a triple bedroom and a day bed in the kitchen/ diner. The kitchen was fully equipped including coffee maker, toastie maker, and kettle. Outside terrace had a table with 4 chairs. Each morning we were greeted with a cool bag containing an amazing selection of breakfast food and drinks. The apartments are within easy walking distance to the port and various tavernas with bus links to other parts of the island. George who greeted us upon arrival was very professional and very informative about the island. Would definitely recommend this property.

My wife and myself are coming to the end of a most enjoyable 4 night stay at the 12 room Family-run Aeolis Hotel which is located on the outskirts of Adamas - some 700 yards away from the busy Port which is not only the Island’s Ferry hub but location of the Bus Terminal. With the Hotel being so close to the Port we choose to walk with our cases on arrival from Naxos but - particularly as we arrived at night - this proved challenging! No matter, we got there in the end and received a warm welcome. Not only that but we were quickly checked in and shown to our spacious Double room which had a nice en-suite bathroom and large balcony. From the latter it is just possible to see the sea but - believe it or not - when the property was built 22 years ago it had an unobtructed view of the sea! The Hotel is very well run by George and his mother who couldn’t have been more welcoming. One big tip they gave us was the location of Barco Tavern (200 yards away as the crow flies) where we enjoyed several delicious traditional Greek dinners. Also on the food front - and with the exception of the first morning (you need to submit your order the previous evening) we availed ourselves of the Hotel’s generous Continental Breakfast. You can have this on a tray in your room although we opted to have ours in the very pleasant ground floor dining area. All in all, and as already mentioned, it has been a most enjoyable stay - one we should gladly repeat should there be a future opportunity to do so.

Although this hotel is on the south side with very little around it…it was an absolutely beautiful hotel. My husband & I stayed in one of the honeymoon suites for 2 nights (even though we are in our mid50’s & married for 25 years 😊). The pictures tell it all…absolutely gorgeous! The staff reception (Maria) was an absolute pleasure! We were welcomed with a nice refreshing beverage & taken to our room & explained everything. Prior to arrival I communicated with Maria to organize a private boat cruise to Kleftiko & she took care of it all & we had the most amazing afternoon! The view is nothing spectacular but it was so nice to come back to a nice hot tub after days of so much walking & exploring. My only negative comment & I really wouldn’t call it negative but the patio / balconies are close together & although there is a separation you can still hear your neighbours if outside at the same time. We were there during low season so it wasn’t an issue for us. Back to the positives …The bed was so comfortable! And the breakfast was incredible!!! Can’t say enough good things about this place! Well worth the price!
