We spent two nights here, it was quite an experience. The accommodation was good for its type, the beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom were well equipped. The trips into the national park were very good, both the jeep ride and the boat trip on the lake. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant food was OK, but nothing special. The thing that spoiled the atmosphere was that people are allowed to smoke in the outdoor bar area which connects to the restaurant. This of course, affects other guests' enjoyment. It seems out of step with a resort with organic and sustainable credentials.

We recently enjoyed a 2 night stay at Wild Glamping Gal Oya. The accommodation was very comfortable, the food delicious but what made our stay so memorable were the friendly staff. They were excellent. Our time at Gal Oya was action packed with land safaris and a boat safari. We were sorry that we did not stay longer to enjoy the beautiful pool, more of the tranquil surroundings and great hospitality.

Wonderful and peaceful place. The staff is amazingly nice. The tents are so well furnished and clean. The pool is very nice and the surroundings are breathtaking. Don’t hesitate to ask them for a boat tour or a hike to Monkey Mountain. I 100% recommend this place!

A unique experience meeting the Veddah (The original tribe of Sri Lanka before the people from India and Tamils Nadhu arrived.) The glamping was fun too and facilities excellent. Friendly helpful staff too and good park rangers provided Would really recommend

Best stay in the area! The staff members are all extremely kind, warm and welcoming, making sure nothing is missing. We have been staying for only two days but the experience is definitely something worth having. Sleeping surrounded by nature at night is something that is very unique, especially if you come from the city. The available activities and outings are definitely worth the price and the staff is extremely helpful with the choices to make. On top of all this the pool is amazing and the massages are the best you can get! Props to everyone for the organisation of the place.

The experience is amazing, a very fancy place with the kost adorable people working on it. Amazing hike to the monkey mountain and wonderful massage afterwards. Totally recommend it! The food is amazing prepared by the chef and the fruits are freshly taken from their own fields. Chiefs from the tribe nearby welcome you with coudk towels and a lemon juice when you arrive.

The staff is very welcoming and attentive to the guests. Very good service and the rooms are very clean and confortable. I would have forgotten I was outdoors at all if I didn't have to zip my way to the bathroom. A mention also for the activities organised here, very interesting and varied choice. The guides really take the time to point things out and explain things. Their knowledge was very valuable. The pool and the spa was a very welcome addition to the experience.

I cannot recommend this accommodation enough. Every detail is well thought out and makes it feel luxiourous (even though you are essentially in a tent!). The staff are welcoming and professional and the food is delicious. It is clear that this site is built on solid values and has a positive impact on the local community. Very special indeed.

Gal Oya was easily the highlight of our Sri Lankan holiday. The camp and gardens were set in beautiful countryside with a mountain backdrop, a peaceful, relaxing setting. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The tent accommodation was spacious and luxurious. The food was plentiful and very tasty, made using their own fruit and vegetables. A special mention of Vishud Jayathilika for his invaluable bird and plant expertise on the boat safari and local walks.
