Wild Glamping Gal Oya - Thema Collection

This is an qmazing and unforgettable place! Gorgeous grounds and pool looking out over the jungle. Beautiful glamping rooms with many thoughtful touches (like the towels being shaped into elephants each day). All staff here were so friendly, helpful, and attentive. We went on walks with veddu people and through pristine jungle seeing the wildlife and fauna guided by the naturalist, Navindu, who was very knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Such an experience - very much recommend!

A very special place and our absolut favourite place during our 3 weeks trip in Sri Lanka. Everything was just perfect. Excellent follow-up from enthusiastic staff without being pushy. Eco friendly set-up with nice gardens surrounding the camp. Food was excellent especially the curry dishes. Wonderful breakfast. We had an excursion/boat trip to Gal Ola National Park in the afternoon. Lot´s of birds and quite a few elephants. Just wonderful.

The location is beautiful.The tents are surrounded by the nature with a Swimming pool overlooking the surrounding mountains.The tents were equipped with all comfort with even air conditioning in the tent and a beautiful bathroom outside. The local village are very much an active part of the project actively employed across all areas of the bussniess from hospitality to farming to upkeep of the property. The Staff are very helpful and friendly.( Specially Madhawa, Achintha - Naturalist ) if you are open you feel the positive vibe the whole team gives.Everything is taken care of even more and whoever needs it gets a 24/7 Service.The food is delicious with a great selection for all tasetes. There are western options & Srilankan options including the bufe. Most of veggies and Fruits are home grown. The pool has amazing views of the sunset and the water maintains a very good temperature. The trips around (boat safari in the national park, walk with veddha) Overall, we had an amazing time and I would definitely reccomend for anyone who's looking for bit of an adventure or even a relaxing holiday! We had the best time in Gal Oya Wild Glamping. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the most amazing time. I will be recommending this to anybody looking for a stay in Sri Lanka! The Boat Safari was incredible and we saw so many elephants! The glamping pods were filled with everything you could need and more! We had the best nights sleep, the beds were so comfy and so were the pillows! All of the food was delicious and the sri lankan curries were FANTASTIC! 10/10 Experience :)

Beautiful experience. Gorgeous rooms under canvas. Delicious food as buffet. Kids loved the pool! Top Boat Safari led by Thilina who was very knowledgeable and helpful. Saw elephants in the wild , met local fishermen and had a snack on top of an island . A very special time. Highly recommended.

The surroundings and the excursions is what sets this amazing place apart. We can highly recommend the excursions around the village and the boat trip. A special thanks goes out to our guides - Thilina and Achintha for some amazing trips and their wide range of knowledge. At the restaurant a lot of nice and serviceminded employees helped - especially keshan stood out and was so kind and helpful with the kids.
