傢俱老舊，設施不完備，各種不方便，完全不值收取房價。一次性拖鞋，煮水壺都是主動要才給送過來的。話説8000元一晚的收費，讓客人主動要就是服務不到位。除了賣個城堡概念，沒其他值得去的了。餐廳水準也非常一般。

We will never go there again and will tell others to avoid at all costs. Truly a disgrace as we were on our honeymoon and were extremely disappointed with the entire experience. Every guest deserves the same level of service… Worst part is the customer service and staff. Unless you speak Italian or present as ultra wealthy, the staff including management does not look your way. Extremely expensive food as the hotel knows you do not have other options close by. A drink costs 30 euros while a pizza will cost you over 40 euros. An average meal for two will be more than 150 euros and this does not include purchasing alcohol. To add, the room was dirty when we entered, leftover food still in the fridge. Furniture old and dated. When we expressed our displeasure, all the hotel did was give us a 40 euro bottle of wine and said they hope we came back. The hotel has great amenities but the service negatively impacted the experience.

The stay was amazing and comfortable. Staffs were very polite with the hospitality. Prasun Gupta hosted us with the best possible ways. Really Looking forward to visit again and experience the stay all over again. Very satisfied and happy.

Absolutely incredible place. The hotel has a 360• view of the Tuscan valleys, located in the heart of Val D’Orcia. The service is impeccable. Everyone is kind and helpful. The rooms feel like you are royalties. I highly highly recommend! This is the best accommodation we stayed at in Tuscany.

I recently visited Castello di Velona in Tuscany with friends and had an amazing time. The location is stunning, offering breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside. The accommodations were luxurious, blending historic charm with modern comfort. The service was exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff. We enjoyed the exquisite local cuisine at the on-site restaurant and relaxed in the thermal spa. Highly recommend Castello di Velona for anyone looking to experience the beauty and tranquility of Tuscany.

A really beautiful location. Great facilities; fabulous gym, pool area, spa and a stunning picturesque view. There are plenty of restaurants although the main evening restaurant is ‘high end’ so if you prefer easy dining options I.e pasta, salads, simple meat options then this is less well suited. Pool bar, which is open during the day is nice, with simpler but well prepared food options. The rooms are gorgeous (we stayed in a suite with a garden). Very well equipped, spacious, air con, garden seating, lovely bathroom. Remember check in is not until 4pm, and breakfast is only served until 10am, and is relatively basic, but nice (free options: cereals, toast, yogurts, juices, and some simple hot options). There is a beautiful little town about 30mins walk (you need to be fit) or 5 mins drive and there are some wonderful local restaurants serving amazing local cuisine and wine.

This hotel boasts beautiful scenery of the Montalcino landscape. Don't stay at this hotel for the scenery though.....way too many problems that will make your stay miserable. My husband and I reviewed the elaborate descriptions of the wonderful activities you can do at the hotel. All of which at a hefty price. Pictures and descriptions can be very deceiving! Wine pairings with cheese and honey with a stroll in the vineyard: There was no wine pairings, just a small dish of meats and stale bread. A stroll through the vineyard....You cannot walk in the vineyard because the ground is churned up with rocks and huge clumps of dirt. The vines are not trimmed so that it would be possible to comfortably walk through them. E-Bike Rental: We waited 2 1/2 hours for the bikes to show up....I spoke to the bike rental owner (off-site company) and he negotiated with me for us to use the bikes without charge. The hotel claimed to have given us the bikes for free (they did nothing to fix the problem). A Cooking Class: They cannot facilitate a cooking class. We stood in the kitchen entryway and watched the chef. 90% of the food was pre-made. That's not a 'cooking class'. We didn't even know the ingredients. The chef said he could email the recipes. The food in the restaurant is poor to mediocre. When asked by the Maitre D how our meal was, my husband responded "The pasta was cold" The Maitre D had the audacity to explain that food should not be too hot or too cold. My husband looks at him and says "I told you it was COLD". This man was so nasty... I saw him at both Dinner and Breakfast being ugly to employees. He does this in front of guests with no hesitation. How unprofessional. Breakfast was a nice, large buffet. The wine at Castello DiVelona is not good. Even a wine shop in town referred to the wine as "poor" and "overpriced". The rooms: Awful. The furnishings look like a culmination of various yard sales. The couch is lumpy and gross, along with the heavy velour drapes which were filthy. Dirty windows. Our door never locked. We could just pull it open. The only storage in the bathroom are two metal white boxes under the sink that are dirty and covered with chips in the finish. The pool is so hot but I get that it is a geothermal fed pool. BUT, it is very dirty. Bugs and debris on the surface. You get out of the pol and your swimsuit is covered with dead bugs. No one is cleaning or skimming the pool. Seriously gross. It would be nice if they had a regular pool that would be more refreshing in the hot weather. The front desk is not friendly. It as if they are doing you a favor by checking you in or generating a bill. I asked to speak to the person who arranged our activities and they had no clue who she was. We paid a fortune (over 1000 euro per night). Trust me when I say that it was not worth half of that price. We will never return to this place. Trust in the poor reviews that are listed! It is a fabulous hotel where we stayed for my Birthday. The staff surprised me at midnight to celebrate my special day with a cake, champagne and a song at the pool. I would like to mention especially MASSIMO PRYOR who made this stay exceptional ! Also the food, concierge service, view, room were extraordinary. Thank you Castello di Velona Team !

The most picturesque location- the view from every balcony, the restaurant, even from the entranceway is just breathtaking. The heated pool was delightful. Incredible service and very friendly and helpful staff, every request quickly resolved. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom felt luxurious. The restaurant was delicious, the sauna/steam room great. We did a cheese tasting and cooking class which were both so personal and delightful. Very easy access to montalcino and a nice nearby hike from the abbey of Sant’Antimo. Would highly recommend staying here for a quintessential Tuscan countryside castle experience!
