This is a beautiful hotel full of olde-world charm in a fantastic location. The train station is a few minutes walk away and it is very easy to get to places such as Florence and Lucca. You can also get to Pisa with one change of train. My room was very comfortable and had a new bathroom suite and tea/coffee facilities. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, they really help to make your holiday special. They are all a credit to the hotel. The food is amazing - and the restaurant staff will happily accommodate any food likes/dislikes or allergies etc,. They will even save your half bottle of wine for the next evening if only one of you is a wine drinker. As other people have noted the breakfast is the same each day but that is fairly standard in European hotels. The food is very plentiful and I for one was very happy to eat fresh croissants, toast and cake every morning! The only disappoin**ent was that my sister and I missed George Clooney and Adam Sandler when they were filming in Montecatini as we were on a day trip 😊 I would definitely stay at the Grand Hotel Plaza again.

Very narrow beds - an older place but well kept Very friendly staff - need to fix coffee machines - it’s in an ideal location - parking is limited and complex- stayed about a week - close to train station - only ate breakfast there it was ok - nothing fantastic

Definitely would recommend. The hotel itself is conveniently located in the city and there are plenty of eating options in walking distance. The train station is two blocks away. The rooms are comfortable and the bathroom in our room was recently remodeled and upgraded. Breakfast was a very nice selection of typical European breads, cold cuts, fruit, yogurt and eggs. The staff is truly outstanding. They went out of their was to be accommodating and all were very friendly. Our original room was across from the plaza and there was a band playing for a party late, they immediately moved us to an inside room, no questions. Breakfast staff likewise was very helpful. Only reason the hotel didn't get 5 stars is you could feel the faded elegance, like it was once a destination for the upper crust that was now more middle class. Did nothing to detract from the comfort, value, or the staff, just something to be aware of if you are expecting a brand new hotel experience. If traveling to Tuscany and staying in Montecatini, I would stay again without hesitation. BTW, park in any of the blue street parking locations around the hotel and then get the parking pass from the hotel when you check in. The pass let's you park in those spots unlimited.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and they go above and beyond. The hotel is very nice with a lot of rich history. The food is very good and the location is central to everything. The train station is straight out the front door up at the corner for an easy commute anywhere you want to go. I recommend it highly to anyone visiting the area.

Lovely centrally located in town Square. Food excellent and staff very efficient and friendly. Rooms are so quiet even though the hotel is in town. Only thing missing was tea/coffee making facility in room.

What a great experience. We booked a self-guided adventure through Gate one Travel, and it was quite the experience. This hotel was well kept, centrally located to all the popular destinations in Tuscany area and had impeccable service. The breakfast each morning was great. Room service on our first night was a plus! Highly recommended. Quire room considering we were on the plaza square.

Hotel resembled a palace from former days.Great 5 course meals served by friendly staff.Central location .Rooms were cleaned daily.Any problems were promptly solved.Nightly entertainment was provided. There was a pleasant a**osphere that made a person want to return and stay again!

Same breakfast everyday for 5-days! Good location. Spacious rooms. There was no fresh bed sheet covering yourself. Only the comforter that never gets changed- very not hygienic. Not definitely the North American hygienic standard.

Will located hotel in the heart of Montecatini. Classic old hotel with beautiful lobby. Rooms were large for European standards, just a bit dated. Went with the gate 1 package and was not disappointed
