Hotel 2 Bintang di Montreal

I stayed here May of 2023. Note: Not one of the pics on this site are accurate now. See mine. Renovations are almost completed. Lots of pros and lots of cons to staying here I'd say: Rooms and bathrooms renovated with new furniture and built-ins. Looks much nicer than pics on this site. Great location. Reasonably clean (some construction dust) Very nice staff (shout out to Yannick! Very helpful) Reasonable price A/C split unit worked great. Shower worked pretty well (cheap shower curtain) Good water pressure and temperature. Lots of cons: No breakfast (those are old pics) No blow dryer (I knew that from other reviews and brought my own) Somewhat noisy, you could hear everyone walking in the hall (hollow hall floor?) Laminate flooring (clean) but it popped. I kept thinking someone was knocking on my door every time I moved. Shoddy renovations (several drawers not on sliders falling out of furniture. Furniture not put together properly). Windows needed replacing. Only opened 3/4” (probably for safety as it was street level). Beautiful tile in the bathroom (fake laminate), but looked pretty real. Same with stone in lobby, but looked pretty good/real. Housekeeping never came (3 day stay) even though I specifically asked them to (twice). I did get clean towels and then as I was getting in the shower 2 mins later they knocked on the door to clean the room (!?) I had asked them to that morning and left the door hang thing and they were just in the room next door at the time. 4+ hours later, room still not cleaned. Would I stay here again? Yes, but hopefully a better room, further from the lobby with a door that didn't have a 3/4” gap at the top.

Location of the hotel is very close to all downtown cultural landmarks if you plan to visit them. The transportation to almost all areas of the city is very nice as well- mero and bus stations are very close. The matresses in our room where very comfortable and kitchen has everything you need.

This hostel is one of the best I've ever stayed. Great location with metro /bus station nearby, modern bedrooms, very clean, 24h reception, free coffee/tea, huge and clean kitchen, plenty of common spaces, a terrace with 2 jacuzzis that stay opened until 22pm! The hostel also has an underground bar and proposes several activities on each day of the week, i.e. park walking, dancing night, beer pong tournament. I would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Very perfect hotel with kind personnel. I recommend in Montreal. Near to resturants, Metro station and all services. I recommend with large room and property. Personnel are kind and compressible for late check out. So Quit, so proper cccc

Very nice location, friendly and helpful staff!! Free breakfast is great, delicious coffee and bagels. But there are not enough toilets. And the kitchen is quite small so it gets very crowded during dinner hours (plus people like chatting in the kitchen while watching a pot of water boiling). I didn't want to line up to use the stove or microwave to reheat my food so I had raw dinner during my stay. If you plan your meals and cooking well enough you should be fine.

Getting a cheap hotel with a parking in montreal can be hard. Auberge manoir ville-marie has a good location.Few block away its the main street of hochelaga area with fews bars and restaurant.You can take the metro about 12 minutes walk. The hotel is old,after all its an old bank. It is not up to date but remember that you probably didnt pay over 100$ . The room was ok.The bed was comfortable. The hotel has secure lock that with numbers that I believe changed everyday. The staff was nice The only real bad thing in my opinion is the free breakfast. I can't say its a breakfast,it is more like a snack you give to your children before going to school. Like cookie in bags with small box juice. Also the coffee is awfull maybe the taste of it will wake you up indeed. The coffee should be improved.A good coffee make people smile. But as I say who am i to give so bad comment when I pay small price for something in overall good enough for my budget and travel. If you have tight budget and are willing to walk a little this is a great option for you ! You will sleep well and have your own parking spot !

I’ll start this review by saying something nice: this is an inexpensive hotel. If price is your one concern, read no further. I’d stayed at this hotel twice before. It’s more of a glorified dorm or hostel than anything else. And that was OK in the past. On this visit, it seemed that the management had just stopped paying attention. The chain on the toilet was broken. The carpet in the halls is dirty and threadbare. The blinds in our room were askew (see photo). One power outlet didn’t have a plastic fitting around it, so plugs fell out (see photo). The sink basin in the bathroom is detached partially from the wall. There was no hand or bar soap anywhere in the room, which seemed odd, especially for this time in history. There was an iron but no ironing board in the closet, which did however contain a full-sized child’s playpen. The hot water heater takes up half the bathroom (see photo). The towels were like tissue paper. But it was clean! Just be forewarned: you’re getting exactly what you pay for here. I think I’m done with this place.

I will NEVER stay in a choice hotel again..worst experieve ever... When booking was told I could.use point to pay for parking .. There wasn't even parking for the hotel ? Tried to explain to the front desk what I was told...lady at front desk seemed annoyed with my questions. Later called the main choice hotel number and the person who helped me told me that I was indeed told there was parking and the person who booked my room was wrong...wrong info was.give to me.. So add $100 to the hotel fee for parking ! Got room...went to pull out sofa bed Disgusting ...black spots ...holes...spring coming out ..no sheets..no pillows Went to complain at front desk Offered me another room Went to ck the new room ..couch was in same condition. The bedding had holes...even bedding on the ddl beds... Pillows were dirty .. Door had a hole on casing ...don't even think it locked properly . Shower was disgustingly dirty Bathroom sink leaked...so much so it went across top of cpunter and into toilet paper roll. Trying wiping with wet toilet paper... On Sat upon leaving the room...I was told by whom I think was the asset manager that the room would be cleaned.. Got back to the room..it had not been touched Called the front desk and he could not give me an answer as to why... He said...maybe the maid didn't have enough time...??? So I had to go down to the front desk at 1am to get new towels and toilet paper ...cause the sink leak had wet the paper on the roll.... Pls see attached attached pictures Tried to contact the hotel MANY times ..left my phone number with the front desk....nobody bothered to return my calls Do not stay here !!!!!
