I can not understand the many good reviews before for this hotel. The room was cold amd smelly and uncomfortable. The breakfast was a joke the gym is really horrible . The staff tried to be kind but they were bothering us instead of making our stay more comfortable . There were too many flies in the room as we moved in. This hotel is just an avarage hotel on the beach , doesnt deserve more than 2 stars from 5. One is sure we will not come back again.

定的三人間，所以房間提前加了一張單人床，房間在一樓，走過草坪就是大海! 這麪的海浪比較大，需要走到另一個有防波堤的地方，才有可能游泳。酒店價格很實惠，包含的早餐和晚餐也都還可以!

不滿意，房間很冷很濕，還有一股油漆味，床上還有個腳印，床單也很臟，唯一服務員態度還不錯，但是也不會再來了

حلو ،. قدامه شاطيء ،، الاكل جيد نوعا ما ،، الغرف جيده بس عندهم مشكلة النامس في المدينه كامله ،، يفضل شراء اجهزه النامس الخاصة للامان ،، السرير مريح يوجد بانيو بالحمام الله يكرمكم ،، و شرفة مطلة على البحر و المسبح والحديقه ، كان رقم الغرفه ٢١٩ للي حاب نفس المواصفات

The overall stay and service was lovely. The view was breathtaking with a good spread of food. Highly recommend the hotel. A stay for two nights is must as one day wouldn't satisfy your Bentota trip. The pool and the chair setting outside is a lovely set up to hangout and spend time with your loved ones.

This hotel disappointed me a little. It has a lot of potential and the rooms are reasonable but it just lacks attention to detail and love. Rooms are a good size, beds are like clouds and were very comfy and they had everything you need in them really. Food was great both dinner and breakfast - lots of choice so can’t complain at that. The sad bit about this hotel is the cleanliness and the general tiredness. It has not seen a 4* hotel for years. I travel globally for a living and this hotel is very much a 3*. The walls need to be refreshed in full in white and not grey to brighten the place up as it is really dark and lacks natural light, instead of touching up the grey and then the colour doesn’t match. It then looks cheap. The rooms need modernising and again painting white, it’s easier to keep fresh. Bathrooms need a good deep clean to get rid of the limescale and cracked tiles/ dirty grout. Bathroom shower toiletries on the shower tray floor (weird). The room needed a good clean beyond what the eye can see and smelt a little damp. I got out of the shower and walked around the room and the bottoms of my feet were black. The rooms had missed matched rugs either side of the bed, air con unit was very poor and didn’t get cold/ was dripping water all night on the floor. Just general attention to detail and love. Would I stay here again? Look, it’s not a ‘no’ it ticked a job for one night and if i had to stay one or two nights again i would, could I stay there a week? It’s a no from me, for the price you pay you can stay at more modern places close by.

I stayed at Earl Reef on June 2nd and was thoroughly impressed. The service was exceptional, with special thanks to Front office , F&B all for his outstanding hospitality. The rooms were impeccably clean, and housekeeping maintained high standards throughout my stay. The food was delicious and varied, showcasing fresh ingredients and excellent culinary skills. The hotel's calm and quiet atmosphere provided a perfect retreat from daily life. Overall, Earl Reef Hotel offered an unforgettable experience with its top-notch service, pristine rooms, delightful food, and serene environment. Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Stay away from this place; this is a tired property with big roaches in the room! We ordered pasta with garlic bread, they kept saying bread is coming but it never came and finally they apologized and expected that it is all all fine. We waited long for other orders as well. They changed our teenkids room without informing us and we were knocking on the door wondering why they won’t open! Didn’t want to write such a review but the experience left bad taste! Stay away!!!

The worst hotel ever!! Dirty and unprofessional service from the staff!! No hot water, no facilities nothing. Worst than Fawlty Towers!! We complained but no assistance was given..it ruined our last few days of holiday in Sri Lanka. Do not go!!
