Masterpiece Hotel

From the moment we arrived at the Masterpiece Hotel, we knew we were in for a treat. Our room boasted a stunning view, and it was the perfect backdrop for relaxing after a day of exploring Morro Bay. The customer support was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff always willing to go the extra mile. Speaking of treats, the breakfast was a delightful surprise. Fresh pastries, yogurt, fruit, and the amazing make-your-own waffle station had us fueled up and ready to take on the day. The waffles were truly a highlight - fluffy, crispy, and customizable with an array of toppings. It was a fun and delicious way to start the morning. Beyond the view, breakfast, and customer service, the overall experience at the Masterpiece Hotel was awesome. The room was clean and comfortable, the public spaces were inviting, and the location was perfect for walking to restaurants, shops, and the beach. We truly felt we were staying in a masterpiece itself! If you're looking for a beautiful and comfortable place to stay in Morro Bay, look no further than the Masterpiece Hotel. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return!

We were looking forward to an overnight stay-cation in Morro Bay and Masterpiece Hotel did not disappoint. Thought not near the water, the location was quiet and very clean. We were pleased to see extra electric outlets for charging, which is so necessary with the multiple electronic devices we carry these days. In particular, the front desk was extremely helpful with everything that we asked for. The continental breakfast also included fresh made waffles, good coffee, fresh fruit selection and yogurt. It was more than the description implied. The bed was comfortable and the towels soft. It looks like the property has been updated and made for a comfortable stay. Not luxury bet well worth the cost. Thank you to the staff and definitely recommend for the price, location and good clean hotel.

Stay away from room 104!!! It's a nightmare!! The room is literally next to the breakfast room, so get ready to wake up at 7 am by all the noises from kids in the breakfast room.. at night time you won't be able to sleep because of the noisy guests upstairs!! Stay away!

Was an overnight stopover on our way from LA to Monterey, traveling with my brother and sister. Very happy we choose the quaint, coastal town of Morro Bay and the Masterpiece. Large room (with fireplace), great selection for breakfast, hot tub pool felt great and a short walk to the bay (with otters!) and town. Could have easily stayed and relaxed for another day or two.

Our hotel room was clean and comfortable. However, the curtain rod was broken and looked like it might fall down. We reported the problem to the day shift front desk woman and she said yes, we saw that the other day. We were very disappointed that the staff was aware of the problem and didn't fix it prior to our stay. It took them two more days to 'partially' fix the broken curtain rod. Also, we had one luggage easel in our room and we needed two. On a positive note, the evening front desk woman was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here numerous nights while in Morro Bay this winter. Rooms are secure, clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Complimentary wine after 5pm is a nice touch. So is their breakfast offering.

Loved looking at all of the art on the way to the room. Also loved how convenient the location was to downtown Morro Bay.

It was a great stay. I love the wine for an hour. We enjoyed it one day out of our two nights stay. Breakfast was decent. The only complaint that I have is we had a couch in our room. I laid on it just to close my eyes for a moment and I got bit on my butt area. There is about 10 little bites on me. Not sure what that’s about but I still have it. And it’s red and itches . Might want to get rid of that couch

Wonderful stay! The room was very clean, comfortable bed, all the amenities, a microwave, fridge, and coffee. Free breakfast was nice, and free wine for an hour in the evening! Clean, quiet, friendly staff, close to the beach. A hidden gem!
