The first time I entered the apar**ent, a one bedroom flat in a building inhabited by Muscovites, I was rather shocked. It was VERY different from the pictures we have seen online. The carpet was abysmally stained, so was the sofa. Some of the lights weren't working. Of the three windows only one was fully functional. The kitchen surface had dodgy stains. Once I opened the many wardrobes, I found them stuffed with broken furniture. The first thing I did was to wipe down all surfaces with disinfectant. On day two, I learned the room came with a breakfast. I wish hadn't asked for a gluten-free option, since the re-heated omelettes and smelly mashed potato something piles that came with grilled courgettes made me sick. The cleanliness depended on the maid that was on service. One girl refused to use the hoover, it would seem. Being on a business trip, a good night's sleep was important to me. Sadly, I did not get much of that, the pillows being sweated up and smelly, and the heating running noisily, and most worryingly, day and night. The only good thing about my room was the kitchen, which came with a full set of appliances - that surprisingly worked.
