The Eliassen Rorbuer should be a mandatory stop for anyone who wants to experience the most fabulous lodging and views available in the Lofoten Islands. This hotel is constituted from an historic Norwegian fishing village, with individual and well-appointed cabins for guests, many of which cabins face out directly onto the spectacular harbor and towering mountains near the town of Reine. The cabin rooms are spacious and immaculate, with separate bedrooms and sitting rooms where you can luxuriate in the incredible scenery right outside your door. The village includes a top-flight restaurant (Gadus) with delicious included breakfasts as well as dinner if you so choose. The staff is warm and friendly, and there is even a washer-dryer right on premises for use by the hotel’s guests. Best of all, the location is perfect, within a short drive of truly amazing hikes like Reinebringen and Ryten Mountain/Kvalvika Beach. The hardest part of our whole trip to Norway was having to leave this very special place!

We stayed in a 3 bedroom 2 bath deluxe seaview rorbuer for 4 nights. The cabin was great - wonderful view, comfortable beds, not luxury, but clean and comfy. There is no housekeeping, but the reception desk was willing to swap towels or refill shampoo containers. The area is beautiful and charming. The reason I took 2 stars away is the distraction of the mega tour buses that come down to the village center one after the other from about 10am to 4pm. It really was a nuisance and a distraction to the area. We would be sitting out on our waterfront deck and have dozens of bus tourists taking photos of us. I really can't believe the hotel or the village of Reine lets these buses come down to the village center. A better solution is to have a parking area for tour buses up at the top of the road before coming into Reine. I also can't believe the islands of Lofoten allow them to drive at top speeds on their narrow twisty and sometimes one lane roads, but that's another issue. Regardless, the rorbuer cabins were great, and the staff were excellent. Lots to do in the area if you like hiking, water activities and scenery.

Abbiamo prenotato un lodge per una notte tramite booking. Non abbiamo ricevuto nessuna istruzione per la consegna del lodge e quando siamo arrivati in reception non c'era nessuno ad accoglierci. Abbiamo dovuto chiamare il proprietario che ci ha spiegato a distanza come accedere al lodge. Il lodge era molto grande con una bella vista sul mare ma allo stesso tempo molto freddo e inospitale. I vetri dell sala erano totalmente sporchi e unti per non parlare del termosifone arrugginito e marrone dallo sporco per non parlare del frigorifero che aveva macchie di unto e cibo nei ripiani. Il letto wra totalmente da fare con lenzuola appoggiate in una busta dell'ikea sul pavimento. la camera da letto aveva le pareti sporche e i peli o capelli nel letto. Non ce la siamo sentiti di rimanere, ce ne siamo andati avvisando il proprietario del motivo della nostra fuga. Ovviamente avendo già pagato non ci ha dato nessun rimborso perché non gli abbiamo dato la possibilità di rimediare ma, vedendo lo stato di tutti gli altri lodge abbiamo preferito andarcene. La cosa ben peggiore è stata che ha comunicato a booking la nostra mancata presentazione per non permetterci di apporre una recensione negativa come gli avevamo anticipato e questo è anche totalmente disonesto.

Típica casa noruega en el maravilloso pueblo de Ä. El Chema ni se hace bastante rápido y fácil, después de llegar tarde desde el ferry de Bodo. La casa tiene otras 6o 7 habitaciones, se comparte cocina, baños y salas comunes. Es una casita ideal, bastante buena relación calidad precio.

I stayed with my girlfriend in this small hotel in lovely Reine in August. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice the place is: starting with morning yoga, good self-catering facilities and a bright room facing out to sea. The actual stay was great. However, I left some clothes behind by mistake and have now spent a month trying to get the hotel to send them back to me. It's a series of unanswered mails, messages and calls. This reminds me that when we were going there we also had the experience of not getting replies to our messages. I don't know how a tourist facility can function with such poor communications. Its just a shame that the time there is now a bit spoilt.
