So Quiet!. Even though right next to a service station this motel was very quiet and the coffee from the BP was actually very good. Could not fault the clean crisp sheets and plenty of room in the Tons of Sky Sport but there’s no movie channels. An easy fix if you remember your Netflix password. Very happy with our stay

Booked 3 rooms for family group, totalling 8 room nights. In Palmy for a family wedding. The room was very clean and the rate very good at $135 a night. The motel is very close to the Mall Entrance with lots of decent shopping and also near a number of restaurants. I liked the walking distance aspect. The rooms were very dark and there is a fan rather than air con. Luckily it wasn’t too hot. Our room had an upgraded bathroom, others did not. There were a couple of issues with the shower not draining in the non renovated bathrooms. The reception manager is friendly, however we requested a later checkout and when refused, asked if wer could just use one of our three rooms, for half an hour, due to a late night the previous day at the wedding. However this was declined. I would have thought request that wouldn’t have imposed on the cleaning schedule too much as the other rooms could have been serviced first. For an $1000+ reservation group, most hotels I’ve stayed in would accomodate this request. Accordingly I have marked down this property, which I rarely do.

Booked this motel through Webjet with after pay, it was such an easy process, Called to see if they received my booking & it was confirmed. I paid a security deposit of $200 as I don't have a credit card and this was returned back to me upon checkout. The staff was Super Lovely I wish they came like that everywhere!! Spa was So amazing I stayed in there nearly the whole evening. The only thing that stuck out was the noise of the vehicles you can hear few beeps and burnouts with the windows closed, but it didn't really bother me as I'm from Auckland and live next to a motorway.

Very welcoming staff but somewhat surprised at lack of face coverings. Even more noticeable as no interest in vaccination passes (understand that but would have thought masks even more valid in an enclosed reception area when status unknown and dealing with travellers). Moving beyond that staff certainly welcoming…just when travelling it is a noticeable issue… The unit was exactly what we were expecting - clean, comfortable and bright with everything expected for a short stay. Bed was comfortable however layout of complex meant noise from other units and road noise. Overall great value and if the unit at our bedhead had not had the TV on all night our stay would have been greatly improved. Would stay at again but something to be conscious of. Note also a high school is over the fence so expect school bells during school terms.

Picked this place as it was significantly cheaper than others this close to town. The male who checked us in was not good, unfriendly, didn't tell us where our room was, stared us from upstairs as we went out which was creepy. The room was really clean (apart from plastic left on the floor). The 2nd day service was terrible. No beds made, no soap replaced,no face cloths replaced, used towel not taken, left cleaning spray bottle in our bathroom. Appreciated they did our dishes which we didn't expect them to. The file about the room was sososo sticky the pages inside stuck together. The shower pressure was terrible! Nice hot water though. Loved that we could fit five of us in one room! Three singles in the bedroom & a queen in the lounge. Comfortable beds & bedding but had to ring for another blanket (& soap) as everyone was cold with the sheet & super thin duvet only. No electric blankets provided. Super comfy couch. Despite other reviews re this we found it really quiet & it had good black out curtains. Little touches like matching light bulbs the same shade & color & repairing the bedside unit are cheap & make a big difference. Wouldn't not recommend, it's well priced, a good location just let down by service in all areas.

A Great last minute stay here! Booked a room at the Harrington's Motor Lodge only 10mins before I arrived. I usually stay up the road, but the last minute room rate here was really good. The lovely lady at Reception hadn't quite seen my booking come through, so she rushed around getting my room organized. Proper Fresh Milk offered, none of those horrid UHT pottles to be seen. Parking was available directly outside the rooms. My room was just one of their basic studios. They were nothing flash, but all the fundamentals were excellent. Comfy Beds, Clean, and warm. Huge TV with the 50+ Sky TV Channels. Small Kitchenette with all the stuff you'd need to cook a small meal/breakfast. Bathroom had a wet area shower, which unfortunately had pretty shocking pressure. I had feared when I arrived, that this place may have been being used as an Emergency Housing Facility. There were a couple of shady people hanging around outside their rooms, and old beaten up cars. After a terrible experience the night before in a Motel that was an EH Facility, I was really nervous. However, the shady people outside were extremely quiet and respectful. So hopefully this place is not a EH Facility. My few gripes would be the shocking shower pressure. The lack of Power Sockets by the bed for the charging of phones and the likes. And not the Motels fault, but Turning right out of the Motel onto Fitzherbert Street can be very hard at times, and some massive patience is needed. So all in all, the Harrington's Motor Lodge is an extremely decent, comfortable, clean and affordable place to spend the night. The owners/manager are very friendly people. This place offers excellent value for money. Would definitely stay again

Very helpful and supportive for having to extend my stay, without much warning.l, due to hospital appointments. Clean and cosy studio unit which was suitable for my needs. Cafe Zest is a superb Cafe with menu items for Gluten-free customers and also willingness to find out ingredients in foods offered. Great coffee always 😋

Great location, easy to find Cuba Street directly off Main Street. Motel located opposite stadium. Appreciated that they accommodated request for upstairs room and were okay with possible late arrival. Have stayed previously, obvious current owners have continued to update and improve facilities (new carpet, I think, and bigger TVs) Very clean, most importantly no trace of previous occupants, just a couple of spots that need attention....on carpet (looks like a spilage) and corner of spa bath (bit of mould) and walls by TV in need of repaint after repair. (I had first room in corridor, upstairs) ...otherwise perfectly clean. Disappointed not to have the recliners but understand that they may have to the end of their useful life. Would have liked to have had breakie out on deck but no table, (just 2 chairs), a small table would be very useful addition. Bed in this room not as comfortable as previous stays, maybe needs a topper. Air conditioning was great. Book direct with motel to get best rate.

Comfortable bed, good linen and lots of clean fluffy towels provided. But the place feels tired and sad. Seems it was being used as 'mixed' accommodation i.e. Emergency Motel that's still open to the public when we stayed there. Had on odd feeling to it. We had a two bedroom apartment which was OK. Everything we needed was there but it was just sad and tired. The 'apartment' was dark, 'lifeless' and overpriced, and had a strong disinfectant smell throughout. The spa didn't work properly (spewed out water in places it shouldn't have). When we arrived the receptionist couldn't find our booking and was quite rude, unhelpful and unwelcoming. The advertising for Bentley's Motor Inn is overstated.

PPengguna TetamuFabulous place for a business stay. The rooms are fresh and incredibly well-equipped. Breakfast served to your room was really lovely too. Hosts are helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend this City Corporate Motor Inn over anywhere I have stayed in Palmerston North.

PPengguna TetamuI am a visiting Australian businessman. On the night before I was due to check in to this hotel, at 7.30pm , I tested positive to COVID 19. Although I had many things to arrange, I had to notify the NZ government, arrange additional accommodation, advise family, friends and any close contacts, but by 9pm this hotel was requested to cancel my next two nights accommodation as I was required to remain where i was , in another city, and self isolate. Despite this they placed a $350 cancellation fee on my credit card. They have requested emails so everything is in writing and they will ”take it from there”. It is now the following Saturday midday and the bill remains on my credit card. This seems a most unreasonable impost on people doing the right thing and obeying the legal requirements , who are already disadvantaged through significant additional financial, health and well being costs of isolation.

PPengguna TetamuCouldn’t recommend more highly. Such a kind and pleasant owner. Exceptionally clean motel, very comfortable beds and everything one could need. Close to the city centre but quiet. Excellent parking. We had been let down very last minute by “The Quality Suits” in Palmerston North and found ourselves stranded (after a long flight from singapore) with no accommodation on the eve of our daughters graduation from Massey University with nowhere to stay. PN was fully booked as you would expect. This motel owner could not have been more helpful and managed to shuffle things around to fit us in. He really saved us and we went on to enjoy our special family celebration. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in PN this place and owner is gold. Thank you.

PPengguna TetamuWill stay again here for sure. Perfect location in town. Nice quiet area. Rooms very clean , good comfy bed. Spa bath in bathroom. Sky TV Good heating in the room. Our flight from Auckland arrived early im the morning so we requested an early check in. They were very obliging - other places we enquired at said NO WAY to an early check in. Thanks Camelot , next time we are down we will stay again 👍

PPengguna TetamuI must admit I was not sure what to expect when I booked this motel. I’ll happily admit I was pleasantly surprised. Easy to find and well located. Friendly host. Clean and tidy parking area. The room itself was spotless. Although I was only there for one night, it left me with a positive impression and I’ll very happily stay there again.

MMadsenCoGood: nice to see a motel refurbishing the bathroom -clean , presentable and nice shower over decent spa bath .location central however single glazed so somewhat noisy from road . Bad : clientele next door I had a guest and there friends partying, coming and going , loud / shouting and drunk and ….very messy They took my delivery order food ! Claiming they thought it was there’s. Reported my concerns about this / drunk …driving / noise to reception Also made offical complaint about it all in morning - met with no empathy from owner little in the way of fixing except I have talked to guest about the visitors . The place didn’t feel good I didn’t feel safe and had poor sleep and no dinner ! The bed was very low to the ground and bed linen not nicely dressed or presented .. cheap shiny cover and flat pillows . Given lack of response from owner or assurance will not return ever . One of the worst experiences in 30 years of travelling

PPengguna TetamuComfy bed and had everything I needed to eat. Called to make booking and said I’m wheelchair bound. Was told facility would be ideal Had to ask for a ramp to get in the room as there seemed to only be 1 along the floor of my room. Was told it was being used so he brought 3rubber mats to try and make one! Super fail so I had to just figure out getting in and out myself. Room was tiny so had to rearrange the furniture to be able to get around. Great room if your physically able and don’t want to stay too long. Only gave it a 3 as they didn’t seem to mind I was there till 10:30am to check out as I was waiting for my ride.

The rooms were fabulous and I just loved the kitchen ...as it saved me from buying takeaway which I dislike as it's unhealthy and expensive...my kids n.my husb ...we ALL LOVE HOME COOKED MEALS ,ESP when on a vacation.God bless you my dear for being so supportive ..
