Gorgeous, picturesque setting. Perfect location for a couples getaway and we thoroughly enjoyed the chalet. Our let down was the dinner service. We were pleasantly surprised when on arrival we were told that we could have some meals from the restaurant delivered to our chalet for dinner. We took the menus to our accommodation and perused the options deciding on the chicken. When my husband went to order we were told that they were out of chicken and recommended the duck. The chicken was $33 which we planned on sharing and the duck was $80 for 2 servings. On their recommendation however we ordered the duck, and requested that desserts come 30 minutes after the main. At 6pm the food came, everything all at once and when we mentioned that the dessert wasn’t to come yet we were informed the kitchen was closing. If we’d known that we would have ordered our main earlier. The desserts sat in the freezer while we ate our dinner, which was a whole duck, a few pieces of gnocchi and ALOT of cherries. It was hard to cut up with the cutlery provided, messy and very fatty. For $80 we expected better. By the time we got to our desserts that had to be placed in the freezer to keep the ice cream melting, they were frozen solid which ruined the cake and cheesecake we were so looking forward to. We would stay again, but will cook for ourselves next time and put the $120 spent on a lacklustre meal towards some groceries.

We loved the views, big chair on deck and birdlife but On arrival we were initially told we only had a booking for 2 nights not three. When I disputed this i was than told i had cancelled our booking 7 days before arrival even though I had fully paid. Again I disputed. They than blamed *********** indicated they had sent them a cancellation notice and our room had been rebooked. On further investigation via *********** I found our Polish Place had wanted us to cancel our booking 7 days before arrival for a booking that we made back in Dec last year. Finally after 50min with husband and wife getting into argument over phone we were handed a breakfast basket and keys. Goodness knows what happened with other poor people who had a booking letting them know at 3pm on arrival that the property was fully booked. On inspection of basket we were given juice, milk, some eggs, bread, cereal and condiments. No butter and found milk had been opened and was 11 days past its due date. Went to make a coffee and found used pods still in machine. Used washing machine to find a wet hand towel stinking in machine. Next day we have breakfast basket delivered to find extra items that were obviously missing from 1st days basket. On third day we had to chase them up about breakfast as nothing was brought to our room. We also found road was quite noisy. Also I knew before we arrived there were stairs, but became a issue for us going up and down to use the toilet. Just a disappointing start to our holiday especially after reading all the good reviews.
