Had a recent stay for 3 nights and found it really enjoyable. After a little confusion with parking the car due to street it is located on being a bus thoroughfare, valet parking was prompt and we found we didn't need to get car out again. Great location in the centre of town and easy walking to everything Hobart has to offer. Rooms were very clean, although a little small, bathroom was a generous size although water did flood floor when showering. Did have to order another pillow as ones in room were rock hard. Breakfast was very yummy and buffet option that was offered had more than enough to satisfy. Gym was small with just enough equipment to do a workout. The Chocolate Hour was a bit of a letdown, not what we expected, but still another point of difference. All in all, a really nice stay and we'll certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed 2 nights at Ibis Styles Hobart. The hotel is strategically located in the city centre, near to Salamanca Place and the shopping streets in town. The hotel boasts a nice lap pool, a gym and some coin operated laundrette. Love the Chinese Restaurant at the lobby area, served some of the flavourful Chinese dishes cooked to perfection. The room is compact but nicely decorated. The water pressure at the shower stall certainly will give you the invigorating boost. Parking facilities are available but chargeable at AUD 23 for the overnight parking, slightly cheaper if you opt for the overflow carpark behind the hotel. Breakfast is served at the Chinese Restaurant but not a single Chinese dishes for breakfast, what an irony! In my opinion, should have at least Fried Rice or Noodles as one of the dishes since there are lots of Asians staying at this property. If they do, I will certainly give them another STAR. Generally, it is a great and comfortable stay!

Definitely did not disappoint! Love the rooms, the location, the dining, the breakfast! Everything is located within walking distance of the hotel. Car valet available for $35/day. Conveniently stop outside hotel. However be warned that during peak timings you might have to keep circling the area just to wait for a parking space to stop. We had a 2 queen size bedroom for 3 pax. Lovely amenities and excellent room service. Reception was so helpful and so friendly. Shout out especially to Chloe! Really can't praise this hotel enough! Will definitely stay again!

Little bit dated. Booked through Qantas Hotels and somehow was upgraded. ( No requested room available? do not know.) Water shower deluge head is great. Plenty of towels washers etc. The body wash and shampoo bottles are squeeze to actuate, sounds simple doesn't it? Mattress very comfy. Pillow a little firm for me but I did have the choice of 5! You get a kettle and that's it. Fridge opens one way, cupboard door opens opposite way. Not user friendly. Mis mash of cups. No knife or fork. Had to book for a couple of nights the next week but was an extra 50 an night. Thought that was a bit unnecessary for a returning client booking the same room. We had two windy nights and the sliding door widows rattling was enough to keep you awake. Need to be wedged. Location to town. Excellent, walking distance.

Very good location, walking distances to CBD with many eating places, shopping malls and supermarket. The bus stop for Skybus for airport transfer and Red Decker (hop on and hop off for City Explorer) is right opposite the hotel. The one bed room apartment is really spacious, comprising a living cum dining area, a simple kitchen with a microwave oven and a washingmachine cum dryer. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our special gratitude goes to Mr Aashish (maybe incorrect spelling), who has followed up promptly to help us upgrade to the apartment upon our request.

We stayed at Salamanca Docklands. There were negatives with this apartment such as no privacy in bathrooms with glass doors, and holes cut into the glass. In particular the ensuite had no bathroom door and the person lying in bed could see the person in the shower. We got around this by opening the cupboard inside the ensuite to provide some sort of privacy and the cupboard outside facing the bedroom to block off the shower. The dining chairs need to be replaced as the leather is torn and missing. The lounges are not comfortable at all. We had internet for 2 days of our 7 day stay only which was frustrating. However that is where the negatives end. The staff tried everything to get the internet functioning again but unfortunately it was out of their control. They kept me fully informed throughout the process. The beds were very comfortable, apartment atmosphere was amazing being in one of the old warehouses with beautiful brickwork, large windows and location was second to none. Literally walked out the door and was in the middle of the markets, restaurants, cafes, shops. I would definitely stay here again and fully recommend to anyone looking at accommodation in Hobart.

I have stayed here a few times over the years and look forward to going back this coming weekend. First time I shared the double room with a friend, subsequent stays were in the gorgeous non-ensuite queen room, this time will be the single room. This place has real atmosphere, I would even say gravitas, presence. There is something sublime about the building and the way in which it has been decorated, especially up the stairs and on the first floor. For significantly less than a new, modern hotel in the centre of town you can in my opinion enjoy a far cosier and warmer room than those cold, overpriced clone hotels. The appeal of which has never made sense to me and I regard this as a vastly preferable option. It is true, it's not for everyone but if you appreciate things with a bit more of a sense of culture and care for aesthetics then Edinburgh Gallery would be a good choice. Yes, the upstairs bathroom is a bit small and I am not that tall or large but it's still nice and cosy and that's a minor concern. The dining area downstairs is really nice as well.

Kevin is the best host EVER. So helpful and cooks a good breakfast just how you like it, with good coffee. When we arrived late he give us instructions to enter the property, my first impression wasn’t that great to be honest , with over grown bushes and dated hallways but on entering our room was big and spacious and clean. Had 3 great nights sleep bed is so comfortable and dreamy pillows. Bathroom a little dated but spacious and clean. Also a kitchen and dining area you can use which is great. Only a short walk into town so great location. Overall great stay for the price.

We absolutely loved our time at the Islington! The architecture is stunning, the grounds are well kept with the multiple gardens blooming, and our garden suite was spacious and perfect for relaxing. The bed was comfortable, the heated bathroom floors were welcomed, and the shower and amenities were great. We also enjoyed the many treats (chocolates, tea) that were in our room as well as the cookie jars in the kitchen area! The stars of Islington are the staff - Jacob was so helpful as was the general manager, Marc. They were professional, friendly and welcoming. Also, the chef...he is a culinary genius and we loved all of his creations from the breads, sweet treats, and the delectably fresh, local breakfast dishes. We're still talking about his sweet corn cakes with salmon and poached eggs... We highly recommend staying at the Islington when in Hobart and we look forward to returning to this beautiful island and lovely hotel.

SSiew KhimLocation is near waterfront very beautiful. Perfect if you have a car. 3 mins drive to Woolworth and chemist warehouse and banjo pie! Room is clean and Orana house is well kept with beautiful garden. Nina is a very happy, capable and pleasant host! Breakfast is always served with something homemade by her, fruit bread, scones are fantastic ! One suggestion please include hard boiled eggs on the breakfast table. Thank you!

Our family recently had the pleasure of staying in the Tower Bay View Suite at Wrest Point Tower Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the utmost care and attention by the hotel staff. They were not only professional but also incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The suite itself was immaculate, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The cleanliness was top-notch, which is always a significant factor when traveling with kids. However, the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the unrestricted bay view from our suite. It was absolutely breathtaking and provided a serene backdrop to our stay. The kids were enthralled by the view, and it added an extra layer of magic to our vacation. The hotel is very green, which fits with Tasmania's overall conservation ethis - which is great. It is a very comfortable and new hotel. The beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable and luxurious. The restaurant/ room service food was delicious and well priced. The room was very clean and well serviced . The bathroom had a walk-in shower with both rain and normal shower heads. The gym and pool area was excellent and clean. The only downsides that I would mention was the variance in staff..some were really amazing and so friendly and helpful, but there were one or two on the front desk who barely smiled and didn't make any effort to welcome guests. However, the doorman, head concierge, and supervisor were amazing and very professional. Also, the location is a fair way from Salamanca and the Harbour. It's not too bad, but if you have psychical limitations, it's something to consider. Also, it is a fair walk to get to restaurants. The rooms are quiet, but if you have someone in the next room, the soundproofing isn't that good, so you can hear other people. Overall, for a capital city, this is a value for money luxurious place to stay when in Hobart.

Beautiful setting and the room was lavishly decorated. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was enormous. Reverse cycle air conditioning worked perfectly. Lots of hot water for the shower and there was an ample bath too. Breakfast was a wonderful array of cereals, fruits, cold meats, cheese and breads. My only criticism would be the lack of a small bar fridge as you may want to have a cold drink. They do have ice available but it can be a messy process. I would stay again and there are plenty of dining options nearby. They have a lounge for you to enjoy too with complimentary port.

Beautifully maintained and appointed BnB Manor. Easily located within walking distance of Sandy Bay shopping district with a great variety of restaurants and cafés, groceries and all resources. The rooms are spacious with a beautiful four poster bed and very comfortable mattress. A clean and equipped ensuite, ensures privacy. A continental breakfast is provided with variety to suit every taste. The breakfast room overlooks the cottage garden and was warm & cosy. A fully stocked kitchen is available if you want to fend for yourself. A relaxing lounge area provides a quiet place to escape or relax, with a complimentary port should you wish to partake. Parking on site makes the transition to your room easy. A wonderful stay, close to everything, and an easy drive to so many of Tasmania’s attractions & tours. Great communication from our host, ensured we wanted for nothing. We felt like the Lord and Lady of the ‘Manor’. Highly recommended.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed at the Waterfront for 21 days, using it as a base for our road trip. We had two rooms between three of us, and the budget price couldn’t be beaten for this type of accommodation. The motel is of the old style but has been maintained quite well with bright and comfortable rooms. Room facilities are good, kitchenettes with toaster, microwave, plates and cutlery, plus a communal kitchen to use. The rooms and linen were very clean. We weren’t disturbed by any noise even when the motel was fully occupied(it’s very popular). The location is excellent. There is a bus stop just down the road, the 561 and 562 buses run on the hour and get you into Hobart central in about twenty minutes. A shopping centre with a Coles and other stores is a ten minute drive away. I enjoyed my stay, the staff were so pleasant and obliging. I would thoroughly recommend this motel.

I was very happy with my stay here. Check-in was a little confusing as one checks-in at the old hotel, not where the accommodation is located, so there is a bit of a walk to find where to check-in. Room was huge and the shower was very spacious. The only complaint I will make as it looked like my room (13) may not have been vacuumed (corn chip under the bed and hair, which was not mine, on the floor near the bathroom.) I didn't see a hairdryer, but had brought my own anyway. I got the last car park and am not sure if the parking spots outside the rooms are designated car parking for the hotel guests, or if anyone is able to use them (there are a few other shops close by.)

PPengguna TetamuWe booked and we were surprised as no photos clearly showed the motel's exterior, the main photo is of Port Arthur historical site. We arrived late so had keys left for us. Some upgrades would be good however the response from the staff was timely, friendly and precise. We had three rooms, everyone was happy, it was for a place to lay our heads for our last night before flying home.

CChris I've stayed here before, the reason I chose it again is the price and location. Great location with a short walk and some steps down to Salamanca Place. Its a typical older hotel, you get what you pay for and so long you are not expecting 5 stars, its great! I will stay here again..
