I stayed at this hotel in 2019 when it was fairly new. The location is amazing. However, when I stayed with my girlfriend and parents this July, it was terrible. We stayed for 6 nights. First, the staff was very rude. Every time you interact with them, it's like they're doing you a favor. As it is in almost every establishment in Germany, they barely spoke English. Very shocking for a tourist city like Munich where there are nationalities from every part of the globe. Have English speaking staff at least. Second, room cleaning was not done the next day. I said, okay, we'll remind them at the front desk. Even with the reminder, it was hit or miss. One day, they completely missed it. Another day, they did not empty the trash can in my parents' room. And mind you, they did not clean the room EVEN THOUGH my girlfriend and I REMINDED the house keeping people when we saw them on our floor. At check out, my mom had mentioned that room cleaning was not done on some days. The guy at check out condescendingly said, ”normally we clean the rooms.” No apology or any effort whatsoever to make up for their mistake. At that point, I was not surprised and had to apologise to my mom myself. Lastly, me, my girlfriend, and parents had to rekey the room key everyday. It was so annoying and frustrating. Imagine getting to your room and the key does not work. Now you have to waste time and go to the front desk. It happened everyday. No apology or compensation from from desk. I will not be returning to this hotel and will look elsewhere. The location is good with a lot of potential. But the rude staff is not worth dealing with. We had enough downtown Munich at restaurants and cafes where the staff only spoke German and could not even explain any aspects of their menu in English. Footnote: The only pleasant person I dealt with at reception was Sarah (sp?). Just want to make sure that credit is given where it's due.

The receptionist of the evening shift between 19:00 and 19:30 on 1 August 2022 was extremely rude. Not even close to the lowest standards of hospitality. We booked a room in Leto Hotel Moosach that now is B&B Hotel via the booking service, but it was still Leto Motel on the reservation with the same address. First, we came to the desk and the receptionist rejected to check our booking detailes at all, bc in the receipt he saw the logo of the accommodation service, not the B&B and told us that we’re at the wrong place. We checked the map and the online reservation again, and found out that everything was right. We came back to the front desk and asked to check other numbers from the reservation, but it didn’t work. Then we were told in the rude manner, that we’re just wasting his time and there is a row of people as we’re not… and we should go away. After a while we came back and asked to look up the reservation by our surnames, and finally it worked. We also asked him how can we address him, but he said that he wouldn’t tell us, which is weird. The receptionist asked us to pay as there was no information about payment in the computer, however it was already prepaid. We showed him the receipt from the website where the payment is seen with the details and again he rejected any papers from this booking service and insisted on paying or leaving. Fortunately, the service team from the booking service showed great performance and our issue was solved after we contacted them. Suddenly the receptionist approached us at the hall and said that he can check us in. And after he registered us he told that there were no problems with him, it’s a system error and no one’s fault and we were just disturbing him for nothing. But obviously the thing is his attitude towards us from the start. He was not trying to help us at all, but wanted to get rid of us and literally treated like trash, not people. Actually, my bf comes from hospitality management field and has a rich working experience working in the premium chain Lotte Hotel, so he wouldn’t dispute with no significant reason. And I have stayed at B&B not long ago in Budapest and was satisfied with the service. I always knew that it is a nice place for a budget stay with helpful staff. So both of us were completely shocked and disappointed. I hope that this situation will be taken seriously by the B&B management because the incompetence of the single team member shouldn’t spoil the reputation of the whole company. And I still believe that what happened is an exception.

Habe diesmal ein Zimmer bekommen, welches tatsächlich neu renoviert wurde - tutto completto (es gibt auch andere Zimmer). Zimmer super gestaltet, Badezimmer super gefließt, Heizungsrohre aus Edelstahl, geräumige Duschkabine... Frühstück ist schon immer top und auch das Personal super freundlich. Beim nächsten Mal wieder Imperial!
Mercure Hotel Muenchen am Olympiapark

Poor hotel. Rooms dirty and tired. Walked and there were blonde hairs all over the floor- clearing hadn’t been hoovered. Tired rooms, wallpaper coming off, marks all over bathroom. Rooms were so nosy. You could hear the room next to us shutting their curtains. Poor sleep quality. Staff did not smile. Key card kept stopping working. Reception blamed it on being kept with our phones- they were no where near each other. Walked past a couple having the same issue… Munich is such a beautiful place, when I visit next time it won’t be with this hotel…
Living Hotel am Olympiapark

Until today I was ready to put 4 stars out of five. But now just one, because the experience is just terrible (my hotel is am Olympiapark). The situation is the following: I came to the reception asking for room prolongation. At that moment I wasn't sure when I might leave, but I understood that I might need earlier termination. So I doublechecked at the reception whether there would be any fines in case I pay for one month but might need to leave earlier (in 2-3 weeks). The answer was that there will NOT be any fines. So I paid for the month, having an understanding that everything is OK and whenever I need I can check out w/o losing money. But today, when I went to the reception and said that I need to check out this Friday, it appeared to be that I can NOT cancel the reservation now w/o losing money because I needed to warn them 14 days in advance, prior to the desired check-out date... I absolutely disagree, that it's my fault, as I came in advance (by the way 14 days in advance and warned), asked about possible fines, received the info that there won't be any fines and trusted the information I received. But now they say it was my fault and that their policies can't be challenged. Unfortunately, the arguments I provide don't work. Just contacted their central office, hoping that the solution can be found. Maybe I'm stupid and don't understand something. I've never experienced anything like this before...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the A&O Laim and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! This charming hotel exceeded my expectations in every possible way, making my trip to Munich truly memorable. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I was delighted to find my room to be clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The modern decor and cozy ambiance instantly put me at ease, providing the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring the city. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast buffet offered by the hotel. With a wide variety of options ranging from fresh fruits and pastries to hearty eggs and breads, there was something to satisfy every palate. The dining area was spacious and well-maintained, and the attentive staff ensured that I had everything I needed to start my day on a high note. Lastly, I cannot praise the staff enough for their exceptional service. They were always available to provide helpful recommendations, whether it was suggesting local restaurants or providing directions to nearby attractions. Their genuine warmth and willingness to go the extra mile truly made me feel like a valued guest.

Main gripe lack of storage. No hooks in bedroom or bathroom to keep wet items separate. Stayed for 6 nights and lived out of suitcases for 3. Only 3 hangers in small wardrobe. Not enough for 2 people. Took several complaints and 3 days to get more.
