Great stay. Very nice quiet hotel. Across from outlet mall. Heavy traffic at times near hotel. Renovations taking place on exterior. Did not effect stay at all. MIght be due to fact it was weekend. Interior very clean and quiet. Front desk staff was great. Enjoyed speaking with Nick afternoon desk clerk. He really seemed to enjoy his job. Breakfast standard Hampton fare. Staff ok and seemed to keep up with things and keep area clean. I get the impression this is a slower time at hotel than summer. I expereienced no issues during stay. One plus. I requsted housekeeping and it was actually done. In so many Hilton hotels now you ask for it and they don't do it. I appreciate it was done as requested. One thing to note hotel is a good distance from the beaches area but you will save money staying here. Also two restaurants adjacent to property you can walk to but we chose not to.

We stayed at this hotel while on vacation. The rest of our family stayed on the beach but we needed a hotel that was dog friendly and away from from the busy *****. We chose this Hampton Inn as we had read in recent reviews that they just went through a renovation, they were dog friendly, and it was a in a good area of town. Unfortunately it did not live up to the Hampton Inn / Hilton brand. After traveling 6 hours, we arrived around 3pm and our room was not ready, which was fine as we know check in is not until 4pm so we went to visit family in the mean time. My husband called at 4pm and it still wasn’t ready and they said they would call us. At 5pm, we were a little agitated given we had 2 dogs in the car and we were just ready to settle in and unload the car. At that point, we called Hilton Reservations to see what options we had for cancelling / changing hotels. Finally around 5:30 we received a call that our room was ready. We checked in and got on the elevator which had cracked tiles and was dirty. Our hallway didn’t appear to be vacuumed. When we got to our room, there was a smell of musty-cigarette smoke coming from the air vents. The room itself was clean. I wouldn’t say it appeared to be renovated yet unless it was just the updated lighting fixtures and bathroom wallpaper. Throughout our stay for the week, the hallway never appeared to be vacuumed and the staff didn’t seem super pleasant when checking in, passing by, or asking for towels. The designated area for pets to relieve themselves was behind the hotel and it was a big area. However, the back door was always open since the lock was broken and the sign beside the door clearly stated that the door was always locked for guest safety. Towards the end of our stay, we took the dogs outside and one of our dogs was startled by a guest or employee who was just getting off work. We calmed her down but then he antagonized our dog by barking at her and laughing. We did not appreciate that at all. I had went to the on-site gym and was disappointed by how dirty the facility was. I can say the treadmill worked but the weight machine did not, the weight adjustment tabs were stuck. Two of the medicine balls were deflated and there was one set of free weights. There were no cleaning wipes in the facility to wipe items down in between uses. We considered checking out and going to the Hampton over by Broadway at the Beach two days into our stay but didn’t want to uproot the dogs again. My husband travels for work often and always stays at Hampton Inn / Hilton brand hotels. This was by far one of his worst experiences. After the check-in fiasco, my husband had asked to speak with a manager but the GM would be out till Tuesday (it was Sunday). He called and left a voicemail for the GM (Monica) . She has yet to call him back. We would not stay here again.
