I recently went for a short getaway with my dear sister and niece to beautiful Montauk! It was a 3 day surprise-filled respite that would not have been possible without our lovely stay at Ocean Vista Resort. I had actually booked with an impressive bed and breakfast but when I realized I had to drive and pay for parking to access a nice beach, I searched the internet and maps to look for a beach front property. I am just so glad that Ocean Vista came up with its competitive summer rates. I love that I got a unit that may be tiny but was big on amenities! It was super clean— from the floors to the sheets and the bathroom. It had a full kitchen with utensils that gave you the option of staying in to eat on a rainy day. (IGA was a short drive and you have a good-sized refrigerator to keep your groceries)! I also love that we had quite comfortable queen sized beds and the AC worked perfectly to keep you cool through the summer blaze outside. There was an indoor pool, a tennis court and a pong table should you decide to take a breather from the beach. Another plus was it being close to other attractions like the Montauk Lighthouse, Gosman’s dock, the Main St., Shadmoor, Hither Hills, Kirk Park and Ditch Plains beach. As for me, the biggest draw was its quiet beach access! Spectacular! We had lots of fun simply lounging, wading and playing ball on the soft sand with a breathtaking, even therapeutic view of the Atlantic Ocean. A bonus—- we spotted a whale (or 2) frolicking on the waters—- just like that, unannounced, no frills while we watched in awe, feeling blessed, too, that these magnificent creatures chose to show themselves to us!
