Kahana Villa Resort is an acceptable accommodation. Our one bedroom was quite roomy. However, there was no view from the room. Our patio overlooked a fence with vegetation and the building next-door. In addition, there were maintenance issues with the room, and there were quite a few bugs in the room, including roaches. The resort did have a nice pool and hot tub area. I wasn’t aware of any other amenities. The resort is not oceanfront property. However, it is in close proximity to the ocean. As my wife and I do not spend much time in the room, it was an acceptable stay. However, we probably would not return to this resort.

All bedrooms and bathrooms are on the 2nd floor. Master bedroom is loft exposed to downstairs. It can be very noisy if people are watching TV or in the kitchen.

I recently stayed at Kahana Villa Resort in Lahaina, Hawaii, and my experience was deeply disappointing. As someone with a knee replacement, pacemaker, and other health issues, I made it clear upon check-in that I needed a room with air conditioning and a fan, which was provided. However, things went downhill from there. First, the bed we were given was a queen, even though we had booked a king-size bed. Given my knee replacement, I needed space to elevate and prop up my leg, and the smaller bed made it impossible for my partner and me to sleep together, which was especially frustrating as we are a new couple. This put unnecessary strain on our relationship during what was supposed to be a relaxing stay. The worst part was the shower door falling off during our stay, which caused me to cut myself. When I reported this to the front desk, I was only given a Band-Aid and an apology, although maintenance did come to fix it later. The TV didn’t work, and to make matters worse, there were cockroaches in the room. Despite my requests to have the room sprayed, no action was taken. I complained to the front desk three times and asked for a manager to call me four times, but no one ever did. I even reached out to the resort across the street in desperation. I’ve paid maintenance fees for years, and it was disheartening to see the property in such poor condition. The cockroach infestation, broken shower, and lack of response from the management were unacceptable. Given my health issues, the situation was even more distressing. I will be contacting RCI to address these issues, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.

The location is decent. I felt like the proximity to neighboring spots on the west side was good. Walking distance to beach, coffee shop and restaurants which was nice. Minimal amenities at the resort and the resort itself was pretty run down. Our room happened to have a huge bed bug infestation which pretty much killed the energy of our trip and left us covered in bites. They did offer us a new room upon discovery but the whole experience was pretty traumatizing. I would recommend you stay elsewhere based on my experience.

I’ve never experienced a bad visit in any stay in any resort until this one. We were unable to get great customer service. We never saw a hotel staff at this location. We were not told there were stairs in the unit. Both units were dirty and had issues. The furniture and the carpet was very dirty and stained. we booked This resort for five nights and only stayed two due to the conditions and the lack of service. We ended up going to the other side of the island in Kihei where everything was much better and to Our satisfaction. I recommend staying at a World Mark. That’s when you’ll get quality rooms and service.

The furniture was stained and disgusting. We threw sheets over the furniture so we could sit on it. There’s one air conditioner that is located in the wall of the living room. But for the bedroom to get any air, it had to be turned down to 64° with a fan in the hallway, pushing the air towards the bedroom. 64° in the living room was uncomfortable to sit without a blanket wrapped around here. Many times we travel with friends this time we didn’t. I am so happy that I didn’t have someone with us. I would’ve been so embarrassed of this timeshare

Kahana Villa is conveniently located across street from the beach. Before arrival, I was a bit stressed out, as I mistakenly thought I booked into the Kahana Beach on the ocean. "How far it from the beach?" heavily rested on my mind. Upon arrival, I happily found out it literally is one street across from Kahana Beach we stayed at a few years ago, and literally across street from the beach. Relieved, the self-check in process is convenient and prompt. The generously spacious suite of over 700 square feet, equipped with full kitchen, washer and dryer. For beach goers, the washer/dryer comes so handy such that we could pack and travel light. Also has a full tennis court. Conveniently located across from the Pohaku Beach with easy access to many famous beaches along west coast of Maui. Nearby restaurants and shopping make it easy. In the morning, I usually make a cup of coffee to walk the 3 minutes to Pahaku Beach while waiting for my family to wake up. If you like turtle encounters, then staying near Pohaku Beach is the right place for you. I bumped into sun-bathing turtle on the beach. The turtles are so big, I couldn't easily tell whether it's a swimmer snorkeler or a turtle! And the turtle is of the similar color to the rock under the water. One time I almost snorkeled into a turtle - why is the rock moving?! lol, hello it's a turtle. I don't surf, but this beach appears to be a perfect spot for surfers, as in the morning before 9am, there are always a group of surfers here graciously riding the waves. This year, I happily saw rainbows at the beach on 3 days out of my 17 days stay. So, Turtles, Rainbows, Snorkeling, this is a family friendly place.

If you just need a place to stay in Maui and aren't looking for any view or amenities, this place will do. However there is no AC in the bedroom and it was too hot to sleep in there so we had to sleep on the uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room. There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen but no space to store food you brought with you. There was no communications from the resort about amenities, check in or check out procedures. Had to check in and out at a different resort which was inconvenient

This resort is across the street from the Kahana beach, Quieter than the Ka’anapali Area and the pool is quiet. Tennis courts avail and A/C in the Bedrooms with A Loft Master Bedroom and 2nd Bedroom with 2 Beds fit our Famy nicely ! Bonus washer and dryer right in the unit! There was hardly anyone at the pool or Jacuzzi was nice to not be around tons of people ! Everything was clean. We love the beach and Kahana:) We saw monk seals and tons of turtles in the water at the beach. We also love the Napili area which is five minutes down the road for Napili Bay and we love the Sea House restaurant or personal Favorite and MesoPhat for sushi right down the street you can walk and Aloha Village coffee for the best avocado toast ever ! Will stay again!
