Hotel Nelas dengan Sarapan

Tenho profundas ligações familiares a esta zona do país (Viseu/Mangualde/Nelas), e talvez por isso, procure desde há muitos anos, o Hotel da Felgueira para descansar e usufruir das termas que funcionam muito bem. O enquadramento do hotel é muito agradável e a piscina uma mais valia, mas considero uma falha grave que não se tenham lembrado ainda de construir umas pequenas escadas ou rampa de acesso à água. Pior ainda... Nem mesmo nas escadas que conduzem à zona do bar e piscina existe um corrimão! Lembro aqui, a dificuldade de locomoção sentida por boa parte dos hóspedes e a idade de muitos dos que frequentam esta unidade hoteleira. Há uma outra questão que gostaria de apontar, refiro-me à falta de qualquer tipo de atração por simples que fosse (pelo menos) às Sextas e Sábados à noite. Já houve tempo em que presentearam os hóspedes com um ”mimo” do género e não tenho dúvidas que essa seria uma boa aposta da administração do hotel. Para terminar, quero realçar o conforto dos quartos, e o esforço desenvolvido na recuperação e melhoramento de muitos deles. Quero ainda enaltecer o profissionalismo e simpatia de todos quantos trabalham neste hotel, desde o serviço de limpeza aos empregados de mesa e ao atendimento na recepção.

We booked for 5 nights. Were told it was a double bedded room. It had a 3/4 bed with broken springs with chipboard nailed in place to replace the correct springing. There was only one chair for both of us to sit on. The bed was too high to sit on as your feet wouldn't touch the floor. I had just had a hip replacement and so my wife had to half sit and half lie on an extremely uncomfortable materess. The water was never hot enough to bath or shower. The toilet seat was broken. The food was dreadful. We ordered steak one night with vegetables. It arrived almost raw (I asked for mine well done). All that was on the plate was a steak and potato chips (crisps) no vegetables at all. Another night I ordered shrimps with salad and pasta. It only had 4 half shrimps, no salad and a plate of cold pasta. We left a day early as we needed to shower and clean up and couldn't sleep as the bed was so uncomfortable (room 104) The manager was extremely rood when we asked to get something done about it. I wouldn't give this hotel any more than a 2 star rating and advise everyone not to book to stay there. It completely ruined our stay in Portugal!!

The perfect place to relax. It's an extremely clean, quiet hotel, the swimming pool is an asset for the colder days, the pool hours for children may be a less pleasant point, but for those travelling without children it's perfect. The breakfast is very good, the Tertúlia restaurant serves delicious meals, as does the Bistro. Everything is perfect. I recommend the spa, Turkish bath (shame there's no eucalyptus smell in an area with so much vegetation, they could have taken that into account), and the sauna. The massages are marvellous. The most important thing I want to emphasise is the hotel staff. Attentive, careful, always with a smile. We felt at home! Thank you all, you stay in my heart!
