Lovely unique hotel. Beautifully designed. Breakfast buffet was excellent and worth every cent. Freshest ingredients. Staff were very helpful. Great location to restaurants. One negative with the standard room we had - there is no provision for luggage. Perfect if you're on an overnight stay only. It is also not car friendly when you first arrive. Valet parking at $50 a night is very expensive. However there is a parking station nearby. The ramp is also not obvious on arrival with luggage. However, overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great location. Walk to oceans bath in 3 mins. Massive space in family room for 3 adults & 2 kids.

Awesome accommodation, amazing and compassionate staff (especially Demi). The rooms are always clean. There can be better rooms for the same price/cheaper elsewhere but I always prioritise The Lucky when booking as they always look after us. Additional bonus, they have a lift for accessibility.

Hotel is in awesome location. The staff are excellent in all departments. The rooms are starting to look dated and tired. Need some TLC. The bathroom floors are grey and dirty in areas and lots of the timber panels in the rooms are starting to blister and have paint falling of them.

My evening arrival was greeted by an unmade-up room, a free drink that could not be satisfied with a stout/dark ale or zero alcohol option nor the usual gold level welcome gift. On day 2 the room was serviced - that is a trash bin was emptied. Nothing else. Housekeeping was not seen again. Despite feedback two weeks ago about the rubberised scrambled eggs and poor clearing of dirty tables, nothing has changed. There are no side plates for toast or fruit servings. On the third day, in desperation, i asked for for a different type of egg - fried, poached, anything but overcooked scrambled and was told there would be an extra charge. No thanks, not this time or any time. I won't be back.

The whole hotel was clean, quiet, comfortable! Convenient location, easy access to restaurants, a lovely waterfront area. The staff was so helpful and positive. Frees breakfast was delicious and I can’t say that about most free breakfast. It was fresh, tasty, with good variety for everyone. We give this a 10 out of ten!

Located close to beach and walking distance to all places of interest around Newcastle. Classic style pub with great food and accommodation. Friendly staff . This was my second trip to Newcastle and stay at the Grand Hotel in the last 12 months.
