Ulasan The Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls

Went in Feb, great time to go, ask for the falls room on the side of building, was almost no one there, only scam is parking, goto the ****** as it’s less than half price but they change their prices each day.

A wonderful trip and prime location for the hotel! However I docked points we didn’t have hot water to shower the majority of the time. Which was really difficult and unfair.

hotel room was very clean, we were on the 13th floor and had a falls view 2 queen bed. the furniture was kinda old but beds and view made up for it

Service in the hotel is not really great but we got a room with nice view of the falls.

Places clean and staff helpful . However it took us a long time to wait for someone to find the remote tv control which was hiding under the bed. Not.a pleasant first night !

Great service. They upgraded our room because it was our anniversary trip. The view was amazing and we enjoyed it very much. We were able to watch the sunrise too.

It is a basic hotel which is a 20-minute uphill walk from the falls and clifton hill. When you came late at night, and you feel very tired, the uber ride will alrrady cost you $20 from falls to the hotel. We booked a Fallsview room and they said they upgraded us to a suite but I don’t know whether it’s really an upgrade because the room looks the same.

I was so disappointment on the 2 rooms that I got. It was dirty and smells bad. And the worst is a lot of bed bugs! Don’t ever try book on to this hotel! I can show you my bug bites. Horrible and disgusting! The money I payed is not worth it!! I booked Saturday October 12,2024. And you can see on my both legs! Today is the 16th and getting worst and itchy!!!!

Service was average due to the fact we checked in and did the registration when we arrived. We knew we couldn’t get in until 4pm but we were told just go to the desk and tell them we had completed earlier in the day and we would get our keys without having to wait. 3 staff on at reception and two of them didn’t even look up from the screen to acknowledge we were standing there so that was disappointing as well as rude. Hotel had very nice views across the falls, we stayed on the 10th floor. Room we stayed in was a bit dated and definitely in need of some TLC. Had a heart shaped jacuzzi bath but after filling it we needed to empty it straight away as it was full of bits once we put the jets on. Definitely needs to be cleaned thoroughly.

Best location to watch the falls and clean room. However, Its not budget friendly. There is additional payment 50 bucks for parking! and I paid extra to watch the view but they give me 5th floor room it was not worth it.

The hotel is amazing, with spectacular views of the Falls. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We are very satisfied with this hotel. Receptionists Keithrine was very helpful and they provided us early check in and a beautiful falls view room. Surely we’ll come back to this hotel.

The rooms are outdated and somewhat clean.  The rugs smelled like wet feet.  No in room amenities such as coffee, tea or water.  Had to go down to the main desk on the ground floor to get a cup of coffee.  There are no lids for the disposable cups and half my coffee spilled going back up to the 12th floor.  The location to the falls were great and the view from our room was amazing.  Fireworks were in full view.  Not impressed at the almost $700/night price tag definitely not worth the hype.
