The hotel is very well located, right next to the lake and not far from Hanling village. We originally booked a garden view room but we were upgraded to a lake view. We had a terrace and the view was amazing!!! The compound is quite large and great for an evening stroll. The breakfast options were varied and the food was delicious. The restaurant staff were friendly and very attentive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. The staff at reception were also great. Very friendly when we arrived and very helpful to get us a golf cart to get to and from our room to the restaurant building. The only small thing that could be improved in my opinion is the cleanliness in the room. I'm a bit of a clean freak so I noticed a few things that required attention: a small stain on the sofa, some stains on the toilet floor, and there was a small start of mpuld behind the sink taps. I would've also liked for the bins to have rubbish bags inside. Small things though, and overall we really enjoyed our stay, and we definitely return.

Face-to-face staff are excellent with English speaking guests. Over the phone speaking English at night it’s impossible to order in-room dining or even communicate to have dishes collected. Food takes up to 45 minutes to arrive and is cold and in poor condition. Ordered an Angus burger - cold wedges and the bun was hard and cracked (perhaps left under heat lamp for too long); very poor value for money. Even buffet breakfasts are a little rough around the edges. On day 1 there was honey. On day 2 there was no will in the restaurant to supply honey or even check with the kitchen. Again, all staff (including janitors and handymen) are usually amazing and helpful. The team went out of their way to make my child feel welcome with free toys and activity packs.

Cordis was absolutely beautiful! The location was stunning servers was amazing. The manager Kevin absolutely lovely! He was friendly and very helpful.

Not only a great scenery but awesome service too. great facilities as well, I absolutely enjoyed the food, efficient room service. I only regret not coming to this place sooner, I'm definitely visiting again🤗

Lovely villa rooms very peaceful close to nature and dongqian lake. Customers service was excellent. The buffet had good variety it was decent value. The pictures for the room suggested a big bath although none in the room a little misleading.

mixed review. some really excellent points and then some real improvement needed too. excellent: the food and beverage manager and restaurant staff were always friendly and the food was excellent (though I think the price of a beverages is outrageous). the Thai curry is highly recommended. the pools and spa pools are great the room is nice and the whole building is beautiful. a birthday cake and card to celebrate was very special and thoughtful. to improve: the cocktails we're awful each time we tried a new one...the ingredients were listed but not all present in the drink the check in and checkout - first and last impressions need to be improved. check in we didn't receive a friendly smile to guide us to the counter, check out was a long queue during the busy time, more shuttle cars are required, we had several 20-30minutes wait times and guests act a bit silly and selfish, pushing to get on the shuttle bus even when families with small children where waiting longer. it was 40degrees Celsius so walking was not a safe option. I had to call three times to get housekeeping on the first day and was told usually housekeeping only come every second day, which doesn't make sense. I don't need my bed made or towels changed, but I do need the trash removed daily. a bit of a strange policy for a pretty expensive hotel. the play are for kids is nice and the staff are generally friendly and patient. very mixed review I'm afraid.

We really enjoyed our stay in Cordis. Location is so beautiful and very near to most attractions. Room was very spacious, clean and with gorgeous view of the lake. Hotel territory is very beautiful. They have shuttle bus to the water street which is very convenient. Manager Rilla was very helpful and generally all staff was helping a lot and spoke good English. We felt very welcome. My daughter received a present at check out which was very sweet. Food was delicious. Really enjoyable stay and highly recommend!

I went there to celebrate my birthday. I had a choice to pick between Cordis and Park Hyatt and I went with Cordis. The check inn process was a little tideous I would of expected a little more service knowledge considering your paying at the upper scale of hotels. The room was big and it has a nice balcony. However, I was a little disappointed by the standards. Firstly, the room was not cleaned properly. Secondly, there was no mini bar or any mouth wash in the bathroom. These are the basic things you get when paying 1600 a night. The hotel room was not bad I just expected more. The breakfast was just okay very limited western breakfast and I expected a more hands-on approach by the waiters when it came to the table service. The egg station and deserts were good. Overall, I always believe you get what you pay for however, I was left underwhelmed. I do want to say that Max Xu was very helpful he was really good in helping get a taxi and making sure we checked out okay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had a beautiful view of the lake and it was very quiet and peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. The food was delicious, very fresh and tasty. The environment was good.

Sure, it is a stunning resort and overall we enjoyed the experience. However it is far from perfect. A few issues to consider: 1) I booked a deluxe room and relying on the picture I was expecting a sofa bed on the balcony. There was no sofa bed! Bummer. 2) The bathtub is quite small, mostly for one person. 3) The guest rooms feel/are quite distant from the lake. The view is so so. 4) The resort is not really on the lake, there is a road separating it from the lake. so no rooms or villa really on the lake. 5) They mention a shuttle bus to nearby Hanling old street, but it was only running every 2 hours and needed booking... a bit complicated for a 4 minute ride. 6) The main building with the lobby has very limited facilities. Just a small deck for outdoor dining. Overall ok, recommend to book on a weekday when the price is cheaper. I give 5 for service because it was a busy weekend and personnel was all very professional and efficient, but I did not experience anything exceptional. I tried the high end Chinese restaurant that was good and also the breakfast in line with a 5 star hotel.

Location is absolutely gorgeous and makes the experience worth it. The resort is located in an enclosed campus and golf carts are used to travel from facility to facility. The rooms are not the most clean and the service is subpar.
