Never heard before of Niort, I’d looked for a hotel that would be a base for a week while participating in a music festival in Thiré. As a veteran guest of Accor hotels, I decided to trust the good reviews and to make a reservation. What to say… at last a hotel that approaches all one’s anticipation. Large rooms (at least mine), sealed from noises, and very clean. But the brilliant side is the stuff. The Chef of the front desk, Christophe and his team are so welcoming and heartily helping with every wish. Special kudos to the housekeeping staff! No faults. The hotel area is vast and cosy. Many sitting areas inside and outside doors, and nice pool. Sometimes you feel at a spa and not in an urban hotel. The hotel operates a restaurant, BoiZé. Excellent chef, tasty food that being served very esthetically in very reasonable prices. So guys, I’ve enjoyed the wonderful Les Arts Florissants, and a very good experience with the hotel. If you’re in the area, this is the place to stay.

Points positifs - bonne literie - plutôt calme - buffet de bonne qualité pour le petit déjeuner. - bien placé Points négatifs - dans l'ensemble , hôtel défraîchi et paraissant sale et personnel peu concerné. - chambres tristes et défraîchies , déco inexistante. La moquette est d'une couleur indéfinissable. On ne sait pas si elle est propre ou pas. En tous cas, on n'ose pas se promener pieds nus. - salle de bain exiguëe , défraîchie. On ne peut pas poser sa trousse de toilette. Certains carreaux de La faïence autour de la baignoire sont comme ”râpés ” .. très bizarre - Couloirs défraîchis et sales . Toiles d'araignées sur les issues de secours ... - réception et salle commune idem. - Personnel peu investi: très rarement présent à la réception, plutôt dans le bureau à l'arrière qui ressemble plus à un bric à brac qu'à un bureau. Pendant le petit déjeuner, personnel occupé à fumer à l'extérieur , plutôt qu'à nettoyer les tables entre les différents clients ou à compléter le buffet. Il faut réclamer... A un moment, je cherche le grille pain, je demande donc .. elle me prend le bras et m'emmène comme si j'étais une enfant.. très très bizarre.. Grille pain complètement à l'opposé du pain dans un coin sombre, qu'ils avaient oublié de brancher... - buffet du petit déjeuner correct mais très mal présenté et mis en valeur. Nous avions une table au petit déjeuner avec vue sur une serpillière peu ragoûtante qui dépassait du bar . ... Et on pourrait en rajouter... J'ai l'habitude d'aller dans des ibis .. dons très déçus J'aurais du regarder les avis ... En les regardant maintenant, je m'aperçois que les commentaires sont les mêmes depuis au moins 2017 avec une promesse de renovation. Nous sommes fin 2023!!! En plus , je vois que les réponses sont des réponses automatiques car toujours les mêmes. Quand je vois, qu'il y a des avis positifs, c'est difficile à croire.. ou alors , ils n'ont pas les mêmes chambres.. et sont tombés à un autre moment avec d'autre personnel. En tous cas, je n'y retournerai pas...

Stopped over for one night but would have been happy to stay longer. The hotel itself was very clean, room of a good size and staff were friendly. Parking was available adjacent to the hotel. Location is in a large and complex retail estate out of town but has a couple of reasonable chain type eateries on offer. Breakfast was excellent with good choice and lots of fresh healthy food. This is probably the best hotel in this price bracket that I have stayed in for some time now, the others all leaving me very disappointed.

Ibis Niort East Mendes is usually stop point for me 3 or 4 nights per year. The last 2 stays were very bad experiences. The last one in July 2022, i had a reservation for one room with two single beds (travelling with a family member). However the room made available had one bed for 2 guests. The reservation had been made ànd paid for one month in advance and in spite my complaints at the hotel reception, no other room was made available, or alternative offered. I was told that no other rooms were available and that my reservation had been dealt by an estagiare that did not pay enough attention to it when allocating the room type. This excuse by it self is already chocking. Also, being a silver member of the Accor fidelity card, a voucher for drinks should be offered, this was not the case.

Excellent location as next to railway station. Very polite and helpful at reception. Good breakfast. Nice clean room of good size. Perfect for our short stay. Highly recommended.
