North Devon resort

Very nice apartments with full kitchen. Large Tesco nearby within walking distance. Comfortable beds and nice shower. Ground could be improved but plenty of parking. Excellent food in the restaurant including a fantastic T Bone steak. Bar prices very reasonable

I'm honestly not sure where to start with this review, but I can say that this is by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Please heed my advice and stay as far away from this hotel as possible. Pay a bit extra and stay anywhere else. The best I can do is to copy and paste what I emailed to the hotel after my stay. Note that the hotel initially responded with a holding email and then stopped responding. This hotel clearly has no intention of refunding me the money it owes me. A disgraceful place that will surely be shut down soon. Email below: "I cannot in good conscious pay for the first night of my stay at North Devon Resort. My stay, in apartment 19G, was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel / resort. The issues were the following: We booked and paid for a travel cot, however, none was provided meaning my baby had to sleep in the bed with my wife which led to an uncomfortable night; The room was not in a condition fit for human habitation. See attached images: - There were spiders in every corner of the apartment and there were debris on the carpets; - There was what appears to be blood stains on the carpets and curtains; - There was what appears to be other bodily fluids on the carpets; - There was no button on the toilet flush; - The shower drain did not have a plug and the water did not drain; and - The bathroom floor had large yellow stains. The apartment was not advertised as being located just meters from safe housing. It must be obvious to management that this sort of housing will inevitably lead to disturbances at night. The noise from the housing just meters from my apartment went on late into the night. I witnessed drinking and smoking of suspicious substances. I attempted to phone management twice but I received no response. I then sent the email below at 12:30 am. The next morning another guest, situated much further from the bungalow emitting the noise, commented to management that there was a lot of noise. If it was disclosed in marketing or other materials that there is safe housing right next to the guest accommodation I would not have booked to stay at North Devon Resort. I understand that I was moved into a "superior" room for the second night. I'm happy to pay the difference between the cost of the standard room and the superior for the second night. However, I will appreciate it if I can be refunded for the first night, and the cost of the travel cot that was not provided."

Stayed here for The Decades weekend which was a great event, great to have things like this on i hope there are more events like this, The staff were all amazing and so friendly, The curry night on the Saturday night was great there was a great choices of curries, Overall our stay was great we had Seaview studio apartment 262 which was nice and clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, the bad points the paths leading to the apartment were a bit uneven, the steps up to the apartment were coming to the end of there life, the outside light on the apartment and the one next door didn't work, Friday night seemed very unorganised in the restaurant we waited an hour for our food some people didn't get all there food at once, my partner had the teriyaki oven baked salmon which lacked enough sauce, although I had the serloin steaks which was lovely, we hope to return next year for another weekend of music

Never again!! Do not bother coming here, if you want clean affordable stay. Rundown, dirty. Spoilt trip, wont be coming back ever. Please do not waste your time. Council housing looks good compared to this. Was too afraid to even go near the poole or so called Sauna

The most disgusting place I've ever stayed at! Photos are completely misleading! Our room stank, was dirty, mouldy, stains on bedding, walkways are rotting.. just an awful place. How its allowed to run in this state is beyond me!! Pool was scummy round the sides. We left after 1 night. Hotel aren't interested in any complaint! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

Where do I begin! Upon arrival of the severely dilapidated apartment, I had to go around and get rid of at least 20 spiders that had set up home in the bedrooms due to lack of cleaning. Beds extremely uncomfortable and the pillows are that old there's nothing to lay on. There's no arcades or machines for the kids to play on. Only a soft play that's for very small children and a couple of pool tables that you have to leave your bank card behind the bar to be able to use. The staff in the restaurant are extremely rude to the point we didn't want to go back in the following day to eat. There's nothing to do for kids on the park, no outdoor play area etc only a pool. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you're considering coming here ... trust me DONT!!!
