Beautiful lodges with amazing views. Meals in the restaurant during the evening were really enjoyable with a good selection. Staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast although fairly enjoyable, bacon was very dried out. Coffee and juice good along with a selection of cereals, yoghurts and pastry’s. The cabins were spotless on arrival. Housekeeping wasn’t quite what I expected. Overall we would highly recommend a visit here, the grounds and views alone are worth a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

A superb experience from start to finish, very friendly and helpful staff too. The triple room we had was large and well equipped, with gorgeous views over the hills behind. The bed was of a good size and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was quite large and had an amazingly powerful shower. We had a great evening meal and a smashing breakfast the next morning. Our only regret was that we were only staying one night!

We stayed at the inn for 2 fantastic nights ,everything about are stay was perfect. From signing in to signing out . We will definitely be staying again and telling are friends about it. The staff were amazing they could not do enough for us . Thank u for making are weekend perfect.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay with our 2 dogs. Every part of our stay was first class. Room excellent, all staff very friendly and helpful, food was first class with breakfast was more than we could eat, and our dogs made so welcome Thank you so much 'Poltimore Inn' we will be back soon.

The Poltimore Inn is set in beautiful countryside with modern and unique rooms. Our room was very comfortable with good facilities and even a mini fridge! Staff were excellent, welcoming, helpful and the food is delicious. Nothing was a problem during our stay. Highly recommend for a weekend away. So rare to get such good service now a days. Can’t wait to go back.

Dining review; very average curry which was spilled over the table when delivered and was pretty runny too. Can’t say it resembled butter chicken at all 🤔 Missing a trick by not serving with pilau rice. The cheesecake slice was very small and disappointing for £6.95. Just a bit meh 🫤

Called in on spec. what a nice place. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Fab atmosphere and food was amazing. Menu is extensive and lots of homemade options. Good beer also which is a must. :o) Ate in the bar but the restaurant looks very nice. Will definitely return.

Parking is a bit tricky, we had to park a few streets away. very nice inside though, quite traditional but also bright and warm Friendly staff and had a nice pint of otter bitter. No food on the night we visited. We would recommend using if in the area

We stayed for 2 nights as part of our first motorbike adventure with 4 friends. This Inn is in a beautiful village and the staff were warm, welcoming and very helpful. Being 3 couples, we stayed in 2 pods with a view plus the Observatory and with safe parking outside of each for our 3 motorbikes it was ideal. The views are breathtaking and we slept well, riding out across the moor, over Porlock and Countisbury Hills and down to Lynmouth for pasties and ice cream - idyllic! When back at the inn we enjoyed lovely hot showers in our accommodation then walked up to the beautiful dining room to enjoy delicious local food made with care and attention. With Vegetarians and Pescetarians among us there was plenty of choice and the waiting staff were great. Local ales, cider and gin and a buzzing atmosphere just added to our enjoyment. A super breakfast set us up each day and the local shop was a short walk away for a newspaper and some cards and sweets. Knowing our bikes were safe and within sight during our stay put our minds at ease. And for 6 x 50+yr olds, returning rather late to the motorbiking of our youth we had a holiday to remember and already want to return. The Observatory is stunning and we are eyeing up the Dark Skies Festival with interest. The only hesitation in recommending is that everybody will know book!! But you won't regret it, I promise.

A welcome greeted us as we stopped on our cycle ride at North Molton. Lovely hospitality A chance to stop and take an iced drink after cycling all those hills! Beautiful views and a great space to sit outside.

First things first we could not fault this place. The staff were always friendly and accommodating. The food was out of this world and the portions very large. We stayed in the snowdrop Lodge which was all we expected. The shower was lovely and powerful. The accommodation is not the Ritz or the Hilton, and doesn't profess to be . We had the usual tea / coffee facilities, towels, shower gel and shampoo provided in the room. Our lodge looked out to a lovely view of fields some with sheep and horses in to watch. All in all a huge thumbs-up.

We stayed for two nights with our two dogs in one of the lodges. Everything was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The shower had great pressure and was instantly hot. The view from our room was stunning - see sunset photo below. It’s genuinely dog-friendly. There is a dog walking area, an outside tap, water bowls in the bars … and plenty of tables where you can have the dogs with you at mealtimes. The staff were superb and recommended some lovely local walks. It’s an easy drive to Exmoor and the north coast of Devon, so a perfect location for a short (or longer!) break. Food was delicious and plentiful. We had a lovely break and would highly recommended the Poltimore Inn.

If you have a dog with you and want to spend a couple of nights in this area, it is a nice accommodation. The room we were allocated was just above the pub's side entrance, so it was a bit noisy at night with the window open but other than that, everything was great. Staff are friendly, nice pub meals and a plenty of full English breakfast. Bathroom is clean, and the shower was pleasantly powerful, which is a bonus for this type of B&B.
