Attended a meeting at the Delta hotel, we use it a lot as a business for meetings, today we had lunch too. My dietary requirements make it more difficult to eat out, today however, I had a lovely cooked meal and even dessert without gluten, dairy or any seed oils used as either ingredient or part of the cooking process. Wonderful staff took time to check before arrival on needs, check timings on the day and ensure my food was warm and fresh! I really really appreciated the efforts, it has made my day!

Really easy when checking in, staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though we had booked without breakfast, they still gave us all the times in case we changed our mind as well as the times for the food and the bar. The room was clean and just what we needed for a getaway. Plenty of space and it had really good space to store our belongings away. Good amount of plugs, especially having one either side of the bed. Bathroom was clean and a really good size. Wifi was included, which made it more appealing as usually when we go away we have to pay extra!

This is a magnificent and quite unique hotel - in the grounds of Castle Ashby estate. The entire environment and decor is restful and relaxing. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is healthy and delicious. This was our second stay and we are already planning our return. Open water swim and yoga were enjoyable and reviving. Definitely worth a stay - if you are UK resident you will wonder why you've never visited Northamptonshire before - if you're from abroad this is a magical part of the UK. And the Palace Gardens (Capability Brown designed) are absolutely magnificent with free entry for hotel guests - a day out in themselves.

Usually you know what your getting with a Travelodge - but I was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic service and had the honour to be greeted by the lovely John on check in! He was incredibly friendly and helpful, recommending the nearby restaurants and how to get to them. We had a lovely chat and I went up to my room with a smile on my face. I'd stay again just to have another chat with him! The rooms were also very clean and it was very quiet even despite being on the main road. There's a great selection of restaurants and shops nearby and a lovely view of the lakes just down the footpath. I stay in similar hotels nearly every weekend for work and this was one of the nicest experiences I've had!

PPengguna TetamuHad arrived from the Hilton in Harrogate which was brilliant. Had high hopes for the brand when I arrived at this hotel. Walked in to reception and all I can say is appearances can be deceiving. Once you look past the chandeliers and flowers it’s evident this isn’t up to the usual Hilton standard. The first receptionist I spoke to was either shy or new. Very basic service, more time spent looking at the screen. Had to ask the usual questions, breakfast times/location:car parking payment etc.. Got told it was on my key card. That’s great but I’m asking you in person and having stayed at many hotels this is usually standard. The rooms are very basic and the hotel does need modernising. The receptionist kindly moved me (thank you Eva) as I could hear everything in the original room I was allocated, and the adjoining door between my room and the one next door didn’t seem to secure.. I found the family room I was given slightly more modern but the beds creaked awfully. Luckily I always take ear plugs. Bathrooms had those horrible shower heads that emit shed loads of spray, not ideal if you are trying not to get your hair wet and just have a wash. They do provide shower caps though. There is also a reminder to be vigilant with the shower curtain as the spray shower heads soak everything! Food in the restaurant was mediocre but prompt. Hilton prices without quality. Had the risotto which was essentially pea and cream, no taste of mint. It was a huge portion though and served quickly. Girls on service were very friendly but had to be reminded as to service. I was also given pudding without a spoon, had to go exploring as there were no staff to help find one. Pudding was bizarre, a lemon sponge thing on a bed of granola. Tasted like a dandelion. Had intended to use the gym, but to be honest I didn’t want to stay here longer than I needed to. In sum, not awful but not great. Standard no higher than a Holiday Inn, albeit they are more modern and don’t charge their guests for parking.

I drive past this place everyday and have been curious to see what the recent renovation looks like inside. My wife and I went for dinner tonight and I can tell you that this place is amazing. Beautifully renovated and decorated. There are several lounge areas and an outside space. Well stocked bar... San Miguel on tap too. The food was faultless. My wife had a steak. Cooked to perfection and the sauce was first class. The chips were also delicious. I had duck. Again, cooked perfectly with a sweet sticky sauce on the side. Veg was delicious. Puddings....we both had a hot pudding with custard. Good size and plenty of custard. Perfect dinner. We are already planning our next visit. This is such a nice relaxed place with great staff and food. There were families and couples there and all were welcome. We had one of the best evenings here.

PPengguna TetamuThis hotel is steps away from the centre and steps away from the iconic Roadmender venue. There are PLENTY of food places, bars, and shops within walking distance. Only downfall for me was the pool being nomore :( Please bring it back, I intend to use you every time I visit Northampton now and would love a cheeky swim. Other than that, a lovely hotel with lovely staff, I'll be back.

BBells on the roadArrived late just after Midnight, no one around, had to wander around shouting for someone, so we could check in. Eventually we found people setting up a meeting room. Room was clean although a little tired looking. No shower gel. The room was on the main walk way and joined the stairs, so very noisy in the morning. Also at 9am, cleaner knocked and tried to access room, fortunately we had locked the door. Breakfast was good, although the hot food was dry and overcooked. Internet speed was OK and TV needs updating.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed here for the night, had dinner as well as breakfast. The rooms are clean and well kept however the staff are indifferent and unwelcoming (aside from the cleaning staff). The owners son checked us in and wasn’t particularly welcoming. Neither of us can recall if he actually said hello. Either way, a cold reception. The bar staff are cold. Breakfast was a shambles. The young girl serving was really trying her best but is clearly being let down by management. No greeting on arrival. No clean glasses. A sorry looking cereal bar and we weren’t sure if the coffee cups were clean or not. For a B&B, you only have two things to get right but the breakfast experience is not being thought through. Upon check out, no one was around aside from what I assume was a female duty manager, who clearly doesn’t want to be there as there was zero engagement. Not the worst place I’ve stayed but doubt we’ll be back as you’re made to feel as if the customer is getting in the way. All in all a real shame because what you saw on TV is a million miles away from reality, especially when the owners son checks you in as cold as he does.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed Friday for one night as we were visiting friends in nearby ****on Bec. We were warmly greeted by Julian and check-in was easy. Our accommodation is just across the car park and was more than adequate for our needs. We decided to have a drink before going out and there is a good selection of beers and wines, all reasonably priced. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting to Julian and learning about his sister's plans for The Narrow Boat. Obviously in January the weather isn't appropriate for sitting out in the garden overlooking the canal, but there is also another indoor restaurant that overlooks the terrace. We were more than happy sitting in the smaller restaurant/bar area particularly with the log-burning stove beside us! We had a look at the food menu which looked very nice and reasonably priced. Our breakfast on Saturday morning was delicious. My husband opted for the ”full works” which had a supplement, whilst I went for the standard one. Very nicely presented and the poached eggs were perfectly cooked. As other people have said, The Narrow Boat is on the A5 so you will experience some noise from the road but you get used to it. We look forward to coming back to stay again the next time we're in the area. Thanks to Julian and the chef for making us so welcome.
