Jägerheim Löbsal

We found Jägerheim Löbsal so peaceful and charming that we twice extended our stay. Mr Simmang (the fourth generation of this family-owned and run guesthouse) could not have been more friendly and accommodating, and it is obvious that he dearly loves his establishment, with its delightful gardens and a spacious, shady courtyard for dining or a refreshing beer. Jägerheim is conveniently situated close to Meissen and within easy reach of Dresden, Moritzburg and other places of interest - which the knowledgeable owner will happily assist you with. Although our room may have seemed a little dated, it was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The balcony, sun parasol and mosquito screen were genial touches. If there is one minor niggle, they could perhaps have been more liberal with the toiletries. The generous breakfast offered a wide choice of inviting small dishes, and the host went out of his way to procure a selection of delicious gluten-free breads, despite no prior notice. Similarly, the evening menu was extensive and the meals all freshly prepared and tasty. The guesthouse was clearly a popular place for local people to dine out too. We really cannot praise Jägerheim highly enough and sincerely hope one day to return, to enjoy the serenity and the excellent hospitality of the Simmang family.
