The bungalow is located in a very scenic environment, not too far from the town yet away from all the hectic mess. It's a very old bungalow maintained to the very best. Rooms are spacious and really clean so are the bathrooms. The food taste so good and the personalised menu for breakfast is a very generous thing. The staff is really friendly and amazing. The manager Sudharshan is the magic man behind all this wonderful place. Friendly, pleasant and very professional approach makes it very easy to deal with him. A big thumbs up to Sudharshan. We will definitely visit this bungalow soon and sorry for the late review. Good luck and keep up the good work

The colonial hotel in a garden setting is charming. The hospitality is warm and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. There are very tasty food choices from both Sri Lankan and Western cuisine with a chef cooking fresh speciality dishes e.g. omelette for breakfast and Kothu Roti for dinner. It was a great experience.

The hotel is amazing, it’s like travelling to the last 150y ago but with modern and comfortable accommodations. The staff is SUPER nice, and I’m not exaggerating. Food is excellent, all options incl. buffets, menu and a la carte. Everything was perfect, and they were very flexible when ordering food due to allergies/intolerances (special thanks to Umesh for his kind attention every time). You must try the old snooker table, where even the experienced staff helped to play and thought us a few tricks. Lovely, looking foreward to coming back next time!

Unique Cottages is very much in theme with the town of Nuwara Eliiya’s roots of being built and established by the British, in their traditional style. It is like an old English cottage with high beams, cottage gardens, bookshelves, wooden stairs etc. Dinner was selected from a set menu, The continental breakfast was excellent with fruit, coffee, toast and jams and a cooked component of sausage, beans and omelette. The room and bathroom were both clean and spacious, room had a nice little balcony overlooking the street. I liked it was close and walking distance to the main part of town, and lake Gregory allowing a walk to get to know the town a little. There was only me and one other party of four staying, so as solo traveler I would’ve liked something more lively but if you’re looking for a B&B type arrangement close to town, this quiet place has the right ambience/vibe. (Alcohol is not served and house rules do not permit consumption).
