Hotel 3 Bintang di Oakland

This hotel is just 3 mins walk from the Bart, it's location is excellent. When you go down, there has so many food choice to choose from the China town. The front desk staff is so friendly, he recommends a lot of nice food to us. The room is clean and nice. Highly recommended

Room smelled of tobacco smoke despite being a “non smoking” hotel.

The location near Subway

I don't know Oakland well and thought there would be a lot of activity in the streets, and that Jack London Square would be a happening place. It was a healthy walk from BART around 6pm on a Monday, but I basically so no one but a few folks who seemed on hard times so I was nervous about the location. What made up for it was my room--very spacious, very clean and new-feeling, cute design elements, very comfortable. There was a balcony, which could've been great--views of the Marina--but it's covered in bird crap. Since my room was on the 2nd floor, I felt like I was almost eye to eye with folks hanging around who, again, seemed like they were going through hard times. I kept to myself in my room. I was there for work, so I wasn't exploring the hotel neighborhood during the day and met up with friends in cool neighborhoods for dinner. One morning I went for a run along the marina and saw just enough people to feel safe, but far fewer people than I would expect on a waterfront path in a city. One night I went to Plank, the nearby bowling alley/arcade/restaurant/bar steps away and had pizza. It was fine. Weird location, but I don't know Oakland well enough to know where would've been better. Loved the room.

They replaced a broken fridge not fast but they did. Same hustle with a clogged sink. Room service is promised every other day, OK, on requests they finally managed it after 4 nights... They claimed that our prepaid amount was not paid and forced me to contact Trip dot com for clarification. Kind of strange. Our room came with street view which means a freeway + train line, see pic. With closed windows the noise was no issue for us, AC is working fine. For useful hints on the area ask the pretty nice janitor;)

Service was pretty good and staff was friendly. It was close to where my basketball team played, so made it easy to go to and from the gym

Only problem is you need more washing machines on the property. I was to tired to walk to the other washing machine after the 1 close to our room was being used. Staff were fantastic and helpful. The restaurant staff were also excellent for breakfast.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, bed was comfy, staff was accommodating and friendly. The location is ok but high in car break-ins . Did not have anything happen to me but it’s very visible the crime surrounding.
