Wow that is a beautiful, top notch hotel (even more so coming after a week in the Maasai Mara and Serengeti). Huge central reception, lounge, bar, restaurant with an Africa - safari look and feel. Big deck and pool. Beautiful grounds and landscaping. Rooms were very nice - essentially freestanding high end bungalows set on the grounds. Spacious, big deck, huge bathroom, indoor and outdoor showers, comfy bed. Staff was super friendly and helpful - Rehema was awesome. About an hour or so to the Ngorongoro Crater - we saw other lodges closer but frankly this place was so nice it was well worth the hour drive. Great food - buffet for breakfast - multi course meal at lunch and dinner. Good boxes lunches available if you are out on a game drive. Great spot.

Such a gorgeous place to stay! The rooms were amazing, the beds were so big and comfortable. It was very pretty and well decorated and clean. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We wish we could have stayed longer - would definitely recommend a few nights here to really enjoy the relaxing facilities after safari. The food was excellent and we enjoyed relaxing in the bar after dinner. The infinity pool was lovely with local music being played.

The place is stunning, but best of all, their staff is exceptional! Easily the best service we had during our 7-day safari in Tanzania. Professional, but NOT robotic!!! JUST GREAT PERSONALITIES, including the rangers, the kitchen team, the front and back of the house! Anthony and Scholar took great care of us; he is knowledgable and fun, and she is a kind-spirited young lady. I highly appreciate the effort the senior members are investing in their staff in training. It is remarkable! Please keep it like this: You all are amazing! Oldeani Mountain Lodge is located near the Ngorongoro crater and is a perfect 3-night stay; however, we wished we could have stayed here more to enjoy this lodge with its solid dark wood furniture, spacious room and artefacts - It feels like in a movie. We visited in June, and although the weather wasn't overly hot, we took our showers before it got dark, as the camp operates on solar power (which I appreciated). Wi-Fi was only available in the lodge, not in the rooms, which was a bit inconvenient initially, but I enjoyed the break from work and social media. Good breakfast and tasty lunch boxes for our safari - we particularly enjoyed the chicken wrap. The dinners were delightful! I cannot recommend this lodge more highly!

The property is stunningly beautiful and the staff exceptional. The rooms had everything you would want for a luxurious stay…. Except! What could have been a 5 star plus stay quickly turned into disappointment when the shower (a must after a dusty day on safari) was no more than a trickle with Luke warm water. Added to this was a lack of drinking water, essential given the warning about tap water for everything other than showering. Every place we stayed in throughout Tanzania had an abundance of drinking water. Not here! Even water with diner was an additional charge. We found out later that the showers have been mentioned in reviews for several years with no obvious willingness to improve this issue. As mentioned, the staff were awesome with a special call out to Scolla. A simply lovely kind spirited young lady.

Holy Cow! Oldeani Mountain Lodge is amazing! It was orders of magnitude above any place else we stayed on our safari in terms of luxury. We don't plan on going back to East Africa (too many other places in the world to go and to see) but I could easily stay here for a week and just chill. We were on a tour, and they had arranged for us to stay for one night here. And, while I would have gladly stayed here for two (or three or four) nights, the good thing was we got here early in afternoon, so we had plenty of time to unwind, relax in the infinity pool with our friends and have some drinks. After riding around in the bush for several days and being on the go, the downtime was great. And I can't think of a better place to have spent it! Each room our group had was standalone in its own building on beautifully manicured and maintained grounds. The rooms were huge with a sitting area, a wonderful view, a large bathroom with an indoor and an outdoor shower, tub and double sinks. The dining room is huge, and the food was excellent. Again, way too much but that was pretty much the case everywhere we stayed. There is also a bar and a large sitting area; both inside and outside. I can't recommend Oldeani highly enough. It was quite an experience and a highlight of our trip.

Awesome location to stay if visiting Ngorongoro Crater. The accommodations are awesome - extremely spacious. Even includes an outdoor shower (highly recommend). The main lodge is beautifully decorated and the food is exquisite (all fresh). As with everything in Tanzania and Kenya, the people are fantastic.

Top hotel with excellent service. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bungalows were in very good condition, very spacious and well equipped. Spent there one night only as a stopover on our way to Serengeti but would definitely go there again to check out more.

The lodge featured one of the most splendid carriage homes I've ever experienced. The culinary team, including our chef and servers, along with the entire staff, were outstanding. The meals were exquisite, the accommodations were pristine, and every aspect of our stay was beyond perfect. Their attention to detail and dedication to guest satisfaction truly set our experience apart.

This was a charming lodge that is full of friendly and helpful staff. It is definitely "old school" in its decor and furnishings but was an ambiance that felt welcoming. The food was excellent and the staff helped us learn Swaheli words. Innocence was one of our waiters and did a great job. Asante sana! The view was lovely from the pool area and the pool itself was clean and welcoming after a day in the crater. The hotel was very accessible for the game drives and in always a good 4 star hotel.
