Kamerlingh Villa

Whilst not in ‘downtown’ Orangistad we think you will be glad, Aruba is best explored by car (if you want avoid endless ATV / Bus tours) and hence the Kamerlingh Villa is well placed to both explore the wider island or stroll into town if you want in the evening. The staff / owners bring an incredibly warm welcome and the overall atmosphere / experience is well above the price point. (It’s not luxury or boutique but your not paying that your paying for clean, stylish and well appointed)

I was in Kamerlingh Villas for one week and loved the place so much, I did not want to go. I always felt welcome an hosted perfectly, special thanks to Lita. For a single traveller who wants a quiet and pieceful place, maybe work on a laptop in the shadow overlooking the nice pool, it ist just perfect. Note: there is no hot water in the shower but as it is warm all day, who needs this? Also, a common barbeque place would be nice. The kitchen is perfect but inside. I will come back when I visit Aruba again!

The surroundings were clean and quiet. The workers were friendly and welcoming. Overall, we had a restful and enjoyable summer staying at Kamerlingh Villa. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone who would like to spend a home away from home time in Aruba.

For the value of this place it’s worth it at all your better off spending your money on a decent hotel then here. You spend more money paying for a taxi. I was fooled by the reviews and the photos and spent a night with my boyfriend at the villa. Entering the place was a little sketchy and I wasn’t sure if it was the even right place. I asked the host if he could call up a taxi for my boyfriend and I and told us to walk and it’ll be down the block. For starters the villa is an easy 30 minute walk from the rest of the island. When I first walked in everything seemed normal until I went into the bedroom. There was only two flat pillows and the bed felt like cardboard and it looked kinda stained. The host also mentioned that if you leave at any time to go out to turn off the AC which I found a little weird. Also the ceiling walls were a little broken as well. The house itself was extremely hot and was uncomfortable staying at. Also there are no TVs and the wifi is super spotty and slow. The worst thing about this place is that there is no private bathroom and you’re sharing it with the other guest. I was completely appalled by this. The bathroom is disgusting and super hot and it smelt terrible.

What a perfect time we had at Kamerlingh Villa. We rented a double room apartment and a studio. Everything was very clean and the owners and staff delivered excellent service. Definitely one of the best places to stay on Aruba. One happy place on one happy island.

Nos encantó el lugar y la atención de sus dueños, muy atentos y pendientes de que todo esté bien me di cuenta que se preocupan de cada detalle, por ejemplo tienen una zona para hacer yoga, otro lugar para fumadores. Es un lugar muy acogedor, sus ambientes limpios y la decoración del lugar de muy buen gusto. Cuenta con piscina que ayuda a pasar el calor. Queda a unos 15 a 20 minutos de la playa más cercana, pero como hace tanto calor es difícil caminar y hay 2 opciones arrendar un vehículo o puedes pedir a Alejandro que te traslade, él es una persona muy amable, muy buena voluntad y agradable.
