Portakal Hotel is amazing. The staff are all so friendly and treat you like family. Ali in reception is brilliant and Metab (sorry if I agitated the name wrong!!) the manager is so kind. She even came to say goodbye when I left. The breakfasts are the best I’ve had in Turkey….different every day and something for everyone. Big thanks to Zerrin the lovely chef. The pool area is lovely and never a fight for sun beds. I loved the garden by the river. Such a lovely place to relax and watch the boats go by. There is a boat to the beach right by the hotel and a ferry across the river. The only downside is not being able to use a kettle in your room. I tend to wake up early and missed my early morning cuppa, but apart from that, it was all lovely. Thank you to all at Portakal for making my holiday so perfect. See you again next May/June

I stayed here the night before I was flying home from Dalaman as it’s very near to the airport. We had. been staying at the Hilton nearby, but as we had an early flight, it seemed silly to pay €600 just to sleep and get the flight. So I booked this thinking, it’ll be alright, it’s just to sleep! I had initially booked the overspill hotel studio 61, but as I was staying as a single female with just my children, they decided to put me in the main hotel. ( nothing wrong with studio 61. It’s just quieter in the main block) They didn’t have to do this and I appreciate they needed to have the availability. Our Apartment was amazing it’s actually better than the Hilton !!! The team were friendly and helpful. It’s clean , my it’s modern and I would highly recommend this hotel not just for an overnight stay before the flight. In future, I think I would book here for three days before my flight instead of the Hilton!! We usually stay in Marmaris for a week and then move nearer to the airport at the Hilton for the last few days. But as I said next year, I think I’ll save some money and stay at this beautiful Dolphin hotel. I literally cannot find one fault with it ! Five star from me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great location, only 5 minute walk from centre of town. Hotel is clean and staff are really friendly. Not all rooms have the facilities mentioned on the website which was disappointing and in my personal opinion, it could do with a little bit of TLC by the Maintenance dept. Not major, just little things. Shelf in shower hanging off holes in floor etc. Im a very fussy eater but choice of breakfast was good. Its not a place to go if you're looking for english breakfast as it has traditional buffet choices on offer. It could do with more variety for mains, but thats just personal preference. Something to make a note of if you have mobility issues. The pool is not really accessible unless you have someone to help you in and out. The steps are very deceiving and deeper than expected. They do cater for a lot of cancelled flights so lots of coaches coming and going and late arrivals. Nil was very helpful and hospitable and makes a huge effort to welcome you to the hotel. If you're looking to stay in on an evening, there's a range of entertainment provided.

We have stayed here many times, and what makes it, is the friendliest team of staff. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable with Aircon, fridge and safe. There is plenty for Breakfast (Turkish style) but they will also prepare an omelette or scrambled eggs on request. The manager Yucel and his team go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. They lady in the kitchen makes wonderful lunches, when you just want to laze by the pool. The night manager Cem is very sociable and helpful, and guests will often have a chat at the bar on their return from their evening out. The hotel is in a great location, so you have easy access to everything. Many of the guests are returning visitors and over many years, so that says a lot. I have noticed that the less mobile visitors request the ground floor rooms, so they don’t have to do the stairs. The location is good as you are just a short walk to the riverside and the centre. Highly recommended.

I want to say a wonderful hotel, delicious breakfast, staff 5 points, they will solve all issues in any language, special thanks to ilhan , he helped organize a transfer to Marmaris and even helped me buy a ferry ticket to Greece. everything is very fast, clean and comfortable. I especially liked the doors, they squeak when they are not closed, you spend half a day by the pool, then when the heat subsides on foot or by taxi to the center 6 minutes. I was satisfied, nothing spoiled the trip, the reception is in touch 24/7!
