We stayed in this beautiful property twice during December. 3 nights total. Once in the Somerro hotel, left for Lofoten Islands, and then returned to Villa Inkognito, a special section of the hotel in a building adjacent to it. What a spectacular property. Unfortunately the service in general is far from the experience depicted in the web page, and I must say I agree with some of the comments mentioning this issue in other reviews for Somerro Hotel. The positives: - The property - Rooms are very nicely decorated, loved it. - Exceptional people such as Tomoko, Ernst (our breakfast chef at Villa Inkognito), a Spanish lady in the reception of the ground floor restaurant, Dominique, a Brazilian guy that we found at the door and showed us the way to the Villa, a Norwegian born employee with a Jamaican father who was extremely kind to us. - A Romanian lady doing the turndown service at our room at Villa Inkognito who spoke great Spanish. Those were the people that took care of us and excelled in our opinion. Kudos to them. ' The exprience of having breakfast in the kitchen in a communal table is definetely something special and we thoroughly enjoyed it. - The creme brulée, OMG. The negatives: - Checking in our second time for Villa Inkognito we had to wait 15 minutes for someone to take/show us to the Villa. The lady at reception indicated that a person would take us, but after those 15 minutes I decided to go to the door and found this extremely helpful person from Brazil who got our luggage through the maze that leads you to the villa. He was extremely kind and efficient. - A very evident and stressful lack of staff. This was seen and experienced in multiple occasions, in the Japanese restaurant in the 7th floor where we had dinner, we had to constantly look for waiters who were busy taking orders and moving around tables. The experience in that restaurant was far from nice, and the food at most regular. - Also, during the breakfast in the morning we saw the chef having to take care of lots of orders, people, running from one place to the other, with Tomoko helping him, also running to assist customers. The breakfast he prepared was amazing, he took the time to explain everything to us and the food was superb. This whole breakfast was a 10/10 experience. I must say that our expectations, given the price, were high, and we know that happiness is the gap between expectations and reality. It is definetely a great property that will benefit from looking into this issue as a priority. Wishing everyone the best for the future.
