Hotel berhampiran The Oslo Tree, Oslo

As a couple, we had a long stay at Frogner apartments located at Camilla Collets vei 19 just a few hundred meters away from Skovveien 8. We stayed at Frogner apartments for 4 months from April 23 to early August 23 for work purposes. We rented a one bedroom flat, not a single room. The global experience was positive but we would like to highlight a few points so the future guests may enjoy a better experience: 1) When we initially booked online, we were told that upon arrival someone will be there to let us in the flat (at Camilla Colletts) and give us the pass cards. When we arrived on site with our 4 big luggages, no one was physically there to open the door and let us in. We had to go and fetch the pass cards at their local agency at Skovveien 8, hundred meters away from the rented flat. It is rather inconvenient after a long trip with four big luggages to handle. My partner had to wait on the street with the four luggages whilst I went to their local agency to get the pass cards. Not a very welcoming experience then. 2) The price of the rent per month is rather quite expensive but we knew it and still were happy to book it for our four months work stay. As for a long stay, you move with a lot of clothes and belongings. We only had three hangers available. When I enquiried if we could have some more, I was politely invited to buy them myself or to pay an extra cost. It might be a detail but when you pay that amount for renting I don't think that requesting a few more hangers deserved that type of answer. 3) All furnitures and different rooms were clean. We were quite surpised not to find a microwave in the kitchen. Why not including a microwave (which is now a basic kitchen furniture) especially when it is known that guests have booked for a long stay? 4) Despite the high price for renting, if you want a weekly cleaning of your flat, an extra cost is asked. We have been in other apart-hotels before and a weekly cleaning included in the initial booking price was ALWAYS performed. 5) When you book online, you don't know exactly which flat you are renting (1st floor? 2nd floor? balcony?), we were quite disappointed to get a flat on the ground floor with no balcony although it was specified we would be there for a long stay. 6) On our leaving day, we kindly asked if we could stay a little longer than 11 am (which is the standard leaving time) in order to match with our travel connection back to the airport to avoid us wandering with our 4 big luggages. After having stayed there 4 months and paid that amount, I think that would have been a fair ”favour” to make on their side. That was declined as the roll over time had to be respected in order to provide the best experience for the next guests. I guess that the best quality of service for guests includes not welcoming them on their location site upon their arrival? Nice hotel right next to most attractions in the City, if you looking for a budget hotel in the city this is the one, we stayed in the small double room though the room is small but if you just using it to sleep and shower and then spend most of the day out its perfect. Big lobby downstairs for comfort and outdoor area too.

Overall the environment is cozy enough but there’s some issues like the room had not be cleaned properly and there few items within the room is broken

Excellent location for direct airport transfers by express train as well as commuting around Oslo. Walking distance to POI as well as shopping belt. The hotel is only 5 mins walk from central station yet not affected by the bustle of the station. Self Check in was so super easy. We had a room on a high floor with terrace which had a vantage view of the central station. Room is clean & good size although the mattresses could be firmer. All things considered, a very good 3 night stay. Will definitely recommend!

Location wise, it is 10mins by bus from the central train station. However, the hotel is located in a rather rough neighborhood (you will see the area around is a little bit dirtier, with more graffiti …). Otherwise, the staff was nice and friendly. The room is nice and spacious.

Nice place and nice room however, bed sheets and pillow cases could’ve been put on already before we arrived there rather than we having to do it ourselves and could have been better with soap In the bathroom. Otherwise amazing for the price!

Went for a concert- hotel was clean beds were comfortable and shower was hot breakfast was awesome the tv in room didn’t connect though the only down side. I would definitely stay again

There is a huge wall in the middle of the room which is blocking the view, at night there is constant humming from the AC / machine which is causing me awake at 3 in the morning and the mattress is way so soft that it didn't really support my back.

Bit outside of town but a 30 minute bus trip gets you near the front door. Super friendly staff. Quiet and close to nice trails.

In a city with expensive hotels without a good reason, I dared to tried the luxury package of this hostel: Own room with bath, linen (you still need to make the bed yourself) and breakfast. All for a reasonable rate of 850 NOK. The location is nowhere near where you are likely going, but it is possible to walk to/from the metro stop and Storo shopping centre if you're ready for 15 mins walk or so. The hostel is acceptable though totally without charm. The view from the window is over the parking lot but the room and bathroom feel sufficiently clean. Sleep quality is OK, some noise travels in the building and quite a lot of people hanging around. The breakfast is below expectation. Dirty dishes mixed among plates and cutlery make you think the attention to detail might not be there in the food either. You do not take a big breakfast here; just not feeling that hungry. The big plus is the price. But even given that, the experience is so-so.
