We had problems checking-in via their kiosk at the lobby & we had to manually checked-in with their staff. The guest before us also had the same issue with the kiosk.
On manual check-in over the counter:
Trip.com booking was for: 2 adult + 1 junior child.
As per Trip booking, we are to pay Yen2500 at front desk for our child.
But the staff declined & argues with us the additional charge is around Yen2900.
Hence the argument began!
Finally the staff gave in & waived off the additional fee, on the condition that our child sleeps with us on our bed. We are not allowed to manually open up the spare bed in the room, otherwise we will be charged upon check-out. We were fine with that & finally got our keys.
On entering our room, it was in a total mess. Uncleared. The cleaners forgot / haven’t done their job yet. So back we went to the lobby to request for a replacement room.
Got our keys to a new unit & finally checked-in.
In our room, there’s an A4 memo stuck to the wall saying the additional cost of a child is indeed Yen2500, as per Trip.com, & not as per what the front desk mentions of Yen2900.
Hence, overall, our dissatisfaction towards this hotel front desk service of inconsistencies.
Location wise, we have a rental car, so it’s not an issue. For travellers who don’t have a car, it’s not that convenient. The nearest mart is about 2mins drive away, so prolly 15mins walk (not that near).
